Brooklyn Beckham 'error' in family feud gives David and Victoria unexpected win
Brooklyn is reportedly in a rift with parents David and Victoria Beckham, but according to an expert the feud could unexpectedly work in favour for their brand.
Brooklyn Beckham has been caught up in a family feud that has become so severe that it has been claimed that he is no longer speaking to his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. However, an expert has highlighted an unexpected advantage for David and Victoria, noting how the ongoing situation with their eldest son has actually strengthened the Beckham brand.
The rumoured tension between Brooklyn and his parents made headlines earlier this month when the 26-year-old and his wife, Nicola Peltz were absent from all of his father's 50th birthday celebrations.
Despite a lavish dinner in London, a party at the family's £10 million Cotswolds estate, and win tasting celebrations in France, the couple's absence from every event was clearly noticeable, the Mirror reports.
Additionally, Brooklyn didn't wish his dad a 'Happy Birthday' message on social media, despite David always publicly displaying his affection for his family online.
The former footballer is said to be 'heartbroken' over the situation, and things are so strained that it has been reported that Brooklyn is no longer speaking to his family. He also missed his mum's birthday celebrations last month and reportedly didn't contact her on Mother's Day in March.
David and Victoria have remained silent on the situation, but there could be an unlikely benefit to the drama for the couple.
Edward Coram James, CEO of Go Up (www.goup.co.uk), explained:"Brand Beckham might be under some scrutiny right now, but this isn't their first rodeo. This is a family that's survived everything from matching leather outfits to cheating scandals to relentless tabloid drama.
"They've been pop royalty, sports legends, and fashion and beauty entrepreneurs. A bit messy, a bit posh, and unapologetic about it. Victoria can be a front-row fashion icon one minute and trolling her privileged upbringing in a Superbowl ad the next. They're self-aware enough to let us in on the joke, and confident enough not to care if we're laughing with them or at them."
He continued: "The current family tension - Brooklyn, Nicola, missed milestone parties - certainly makes for interesting headlines and fuels endless speculation. But the strength of Brand Beckham lies in its foundation: relatable imperfections, resilience, and the undeniable success of each family member in their own right.
"If anything, the current drama just adds another layer to their already rich narrative. So no, Brand Beckham isn't fracturing. It's just evolving. That might even make it stronger."
The expert also commented on the 'Beckham Brand', saying: "David and Victoria built their empires the long way around. They've faced it all, media storms, scandals and the pressure of staying relevant. And they've come out the other side with something pretty rare in celebrity culture: genuine public respect. People admire them not just because they're famous, but because they've earned it."
Although according to the PR pro, the same doesn't apply to Brooklyn and Nicola as they are in a "trickier spot."
"In a family that's made brand unity look effortless, they suddenly feel like the wildcard duo," he explained. "There's not yet a strong 'why' behind their public presence, and that makes it harder for people to relate to or root for during the reported family feud."
"If they want to turn that around, they've got work to do. Brooklyn needs to slow down on career-hopping and double down on one thing, whether it's photography, cooking, or something different. Whatever it is, it has to feel real, not just another well-funded hobby."
"And Nicola needs to move out of the Instagram bubble and into projects that show us who she is as an actress. If they can find their voice, and back it up with a bit of craft and consistency, the public might just give them a second look," he continued.
While the rumoured family feud continues and the Beckhams hit headlines, Edward says David and Victoria shouldn't be worried about their brand being tarnished.
While the rumoured family feud continues to hit the headlines, Edward says David and Victoria have nothing to worry about their brand - as it won't be tarnished.
He explained: "It took David and Victoria Beckham considerable time and hard work to establish their successful careers and businesses. And legacy is fragile when it's this visible.
"However, I don't see Nicola and Brooklyn's actions as a rebranding, but as a generational difference, appealing to a different crowd. Gen Z aren't reading this as legacy destruction, they're seeing it as setting personal boundaries."
"The real opportunity for the Beckhams might lie in learning to acknowledge and even quietly support that individuality, without compromising the values that define their legacy. It's about finding the balance - allowing the next generation to evolve publicly while keeping the foundation of what the Beckham name stands for intact," he continued.
He concluded: "Overall, I don't think Brand Beckham is in any real trouble. David and Victoria have spent years, and decades building something solid. People know what they stand for. Football, fashion, family, work ethic... it's all baked in. And while this drama with Brooklyn and Nicola is messy, one family rift doesn't undo a lifetime of credibility."

Victoria tenderly held her daughter in the heartwarming picture. Cruz's decision to upload the image is very telling amid ongoing tension in the family after Brooklyn decided he no longer wanted contact with his famous family. Cruz did not add any captions nor did he tag his family members in the snap. Earlier today, it was revealed that Brooklyn is refusing to reply to messages amid the bitter feud, according to reports. The 26-year-old, who lives in LA with wife Nicola Peltz, 30, has no desire to speak to his parents or siblings after only learning about his dad's knighthood in the press, an insider has told Page Six. The sourced said: "Brooklyn told his family he wants no contact and he's not responding to those that try to connect.' However, a source close to Brooklyn denied this and said, "this seems to be another deliberate attempt to misrepresent the truth, and it only serves to distract from this honor being bestowed on Brooklyn's father." The Sun has contacted representatives for Brooklyn and the Beckhams for comment. England legend David will be knighted as part of King Charles' birthday honours. Peltz-Beckham's respond to reports of family feud It's a title he has coveted for some time and it means Victoria will be come Lady Beckham. David was first put forward for a knighthood in 2011 after helping to secure the London 2012 Olympics. But he was blocked from getting the title by the Honours Committee after becoming caught up in a tax avoidance scheme, along with many other stars. His finances were cleared by the taxman at least four years ago - paving the way for him to finally get the coveted honour. Just weeks ago we revealed how David and Victoria feel there might be no way to reconcile with their eldest child. Brooklyn, who was a no-show at David's star-studded 50th birthday celebrations last month, shared a video of himself and Nicola riding on his motorbike and wrote: 'My whole world. I will love you forever. I always choose you baby.' Those close to the Beckhams said the message seemed 'very pointed'. A source added: 'It shows how much this situation with his family has escalated. 5 Brooklyn has cut all contact with his family Credit: Getty 5 Brooklyn has been going through a difficult time Credit: Getty "It's very sad for everyone involved, especially David and Victoria who love him very much. This isn't the Brooklyn his family knows and loves. 'This post was like a dagger to their hearts but they will always be there for Brooklyn.' Tensions became public when Brooklyn did not publicly acknowledge fashion designer Victoria, 51, on Mother's Day. He then failed to show at any of David's 50th birthday parties. His mum and dad have continued to acknowledge him on social media, but pals of Brooklyn and Nicola suggested that was for show. The Sun revealed that the couple recently had dinner in California with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were 'very empathetic'.

Liam Gallagher has just one regret as he prepares for first Oasis comeback show
Ahead of Oasis taking to the stage in Cardiff next month, Liam Gallagher has taken to social media and revealed that he has just one regret about the legendary band Liam Gallagher has revealed his one major regret about Oasis just weeks before the band hit the road. The legendary Manchester-based band will be on s tage together for the first time in 16 years next month for their mammoth Oasis Live '25 tour. Brothers Liam, 52, and Noel, 58, had been at loggerheads ever since the band split in 2009 and were often embroiled in tense feuds on social media and in interviews. But years before their split, an internal war is believed to have broken out between the warring siblings. Liam is said to have questioned the paternity of Noel's eldest daughter, Anaïs, 25, in May 2000. But after almost two decades of arguing, the brothers left fans in a state of disbelief last year when they announced their sensational return, almost 15 years to the day of their split. In just a matter of weeks, they will take to the stage at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on July 4 for their first show. However, Liam has now opened up about his one major regret about the band in an honest admission with a fan. "How does it feel singing songs with ur brother again? Like old times?" asked one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. Liam responded: "You know what it's spiritual but I can't help think about all those wasted years, what a waste of PRECIOUS time." Oasis came to an end in 2009 following a disagreement between Liam and Noel backstage at the Rock en Seine Festival in Paris. A witness who saw them row said: "Liam was goading Noel constantly and then the two snapped." Liam also smashed up one of Noel's guitars during the heated clash. The pair are due to perform over 20 dates starting on July 4, before completing the UK leg on September 28 at Wembley Stadium. But could fans see the once-warring brothers again after their upcoming tour? Replying to a fan last week, Liam said: "Let's see how this tour goes and if we still love each other after it." When asked by the Mirror how rehearsals are going, Liam told us: "Dangerous." Meanwhile, videos have circulated on social media, with audio clips of the band apparently rehearsing the anthems Cigarettes & Alcohol and Fade Away. He told fans that it was his idea to have both songs on the setlist for the most anticipated tour. Last week, the two brothers were seen heading to rehearsals for the first time. While the pair arrived separately, they had two very different methods of transport to the top-secret location. Liam was seen arriving in a chauffeur-driven van, surrounded by packets of Lockets and cough syrup to help his throat, while his older brother, Noel, took public transport and was seen on the District Line at Paddington station. A source told the Mirror: "It was extremely exciting having Noel and Liam in the same room. The excitement for the tour is off the charts." Get Oasis updates straight to your WhatsApp!
