'The Voice' alum Ryan Whyte Maloney dies at 44
Ryan Whyte Maloney, a contestant from Season 6 of "The Voice" who turned all four judges' chairs, has died at 44.
Maloney was pronounced dead at 2:50 a.m. Tuesday, a spokesperson for the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner told USA TODAY. His death was determined to be a suicide.
USA TODAY has reached out to a representative for Maloney, as well as the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, for more information.

Maloney, who was among the singers who performed at the Ole Red Las Vegas opening last year, was scheduled to perform upcoming shows at the Blake Shelton-owned venue. His next performance, part of what he described on his website as an "ongoing residency," was slated for Friday night.
On his website, Maloney described his music style as "mixing Alt/Country/Classic/Rock/R&B and hip hop" and wrote that he'd started playing instruments at 9 years old. He recorded his first album, "Tomorrow's Another Day," in 2005, followed by a 12-song album called "Where I've Been." In the years before he appeared on "The Voice," he "performed in every small club and honky-tonk bar in addition to performing for national festivals for over 250,000 people" as he promoted his album.
When he performed Journey's "Lights" during his audition on "The Voice," he received a four-chair turn from Shakira, Usher, Shelton and Adam Levine. After making it through the Battle Rounds, he was taken out of the competition as one of Shelton's finalists.
Per his website, Maloney said he "looks bright into the future and moves to continued success as a stapled figure in the Las Vegas music scene, performing at corporate events and in showrooms."
"Ryan dreams big and pushes on towards the lights of the stage with a charismatic motto, 'Only Those Who See The Invisible, Accomplish The Impossible,'" his bio reads.

Randy White, husband of country music star Lorrie Morgan, dies at 72 after cancer battle Randy White, husband of country singer Lorrie Morgan, has died following a battle with mouth cancer. He was reportedly 72. Morgan, best known for her hits "Five Minutes," "What Part of No," and "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," announced White's death on June 1 in an emotional post shared on her social media pages. The singer, who was previously married to late country singer Keith Whitley, did not share the date of White's death. "Randy has been my partner, my champion and my rock for 17 years," Morgan wrote alongside a photo of the couple. White's death comes nearly two months after Morgan, 65, was forced to cancel a pair of performances due to White's ongoing treatment for mouth cancer. Morgan's manager confirmed to The Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network, in April that the Grand Ole Opry star's spouse was recently readmitted to a Tennessee hospital amid the health ordeal. Mouth cancer, also known as oral cancer, occurs when a growth of cells develops in the mouth, according to Mayo Clinic. The cancer can affect various parts of the mouth, including the lips, gums, tongue, inner lining of the cheeks, and the roof and floor of the mouth. Morgan's son, fellow singer Jesse Keith Whitley, shared his reaction to White's death in a heartfelt Facebook post. The tribute included a sweet collage of throwback photos of White over the years. "As I sit here in the room with hospice, I don't know really what to think or to say about this situation," Whitley wrote. "But I can say that the recent years of my life, all the way back to when I was 22-23 years old, this great man has been here and loved my mom and also me (and) my sister as we were his own." Reflecting on White's impact on Morgan and her family, Whitley said White "has shown unconditional love to my mother and been the most gentle soul to ever grace this entire family."
