After what was his 38th season as a part of ESPN's iconic "College GameDay" show, it was announced in April that Lee Corso would be retiring.

The 89-year-old former head coach best known for his unfiltered takes, willingness to always have fun and iconic headgear picks will join the show one final time in 2025. While it had yet to be confirmed, many fans speculated that Corso's final show would take place in Columbus, Ohio ahead of the Texas-Ohio State matchup.
Aside from this being a rematch of a College Football Playoff Semifinal from last season and a likely meeting between two top five teams, it is also where his journey began with the show.
On Tuesday, the show confirmed that would indeed be the case.
"We're kicking off College GameDay with a trip to Texas-Ohio State, as we celebrate Lee Corso's final show back where he first made headgear history! 🤩," read the post.
While Corso's "College GameDay" debut came in 1987, Corso made his first headgear selection prior to a game between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Penn State Nittany Lions in Oct. 1996.

He predicted that the Buckeyes would win (they did), and also sparked one of the best traditions in sports television.

Throughout the years, Corso has an all-time headgear prediction record of 287-144, which comes out to him being correct on 66.6% of his predictions, according to The Athletic.
In a statement in April, Corso revealed how blessed he was to have been a part of such a special show.
'My family and I will be forever indebted for the opportunity to be part of ESPN and 'College GameDay' for nearly 40 years,' said Corso. 'I have a treasure of many friends, fond memories and some unusual experiences to take with me into retirement.'

Rice enters Tuesday hitting .241 with 12 homers, 25 RBI, and a .825 OPS through 218 plate appearances. Rice ranks 34th among all qualified hitters in OPS, and his .497 slugging percentage is 24th in the league. Most teams would kill for production like that, but most teams aren't the Yankees. Stanton's contract all but guarantees him a spot as the Yankees' DH, and Paul Goldschmidt is enjoying an All-Star-caliber season at first base. That doesn't leave many at-bats for Rice, especially because the Yankees remain committed to Austin Wells at catcher. SNY's Andy Martino recently dismissed the idea the Yankees should demote Rice to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre so he can get regular at-bats. Martino instead proposed the Yankees work to play Stanton, Rice, and Goldschmidt at least two out of every three games. Martino also reported that the Yankees do not intend to play Rice anywhere but at catcher, first base, or designated hitter. "Rice is closer to gracing the cover of 'MLB: The Show' than he is to earning a trip to Scranton," Martino wrote. Either way, the Yankees find themselves in a difficult situation, one where there are too many hitters with too few at-bats to go around. (NewsNation) — David Thibodeau, one of the nine surviving members of the 1993 Branch Davidian siege in Waco, Texas, is offering insight regarding Justin Bieber's membership in a chuch some consider controversial. Churchome is a Beverly Hills-based church that also has a congregation in Washington State and attracts thousands of people online and in person. Bieber reportedly partakes in its services at home via Zoom. According to TMZ, Ryan Good, a former friend of Bieber's and co-founder of his clothing line Drew House, was also a part of Churchome but left the church and had a falling out with Bieber over it because he said it started to feel like a cult. Bieber has also shared a series of posts on social media detailing his struggles in life and religion. Unexplained deaths in New England creating fears of serial killer Judah Smith, the pastor at Churchome, responded to allegations of the church being a cult, saying, 'We would be the worst cult in the history of all cults' because the church only meets once a month. Thibodeau said Bieber should go with his gut feeling regarding warning signs of whether or not Churchome is a cult. 'There's all kinds of times you feel that you're doing something wrong, but everyone around you is telling you it's right,' Thibodeau said. 'Even though you have that feeling and so many people influencing it, it can overcome your own feeling of what's right and wrong.' Thibodeau added Bieber should take opposing viewpoints into consideration and read things other than the Bible.
