The visit marks a stop on the vessel's seventh international voyage to Europe, titled "Glories of the Seas." As part of this journey, the ship will visit several ports and destinations across the continent.

Armenia announces new visa-free travel for citizens and residents of Oman
Muscat: Effective July 1, 2025, Armenia will introduce visa-free entry for citizens and residents of Oman and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, as part of a strategic initiative to strengthen economic relations, boost tourism, and facilitate business opportunities between Armenia and the GCC member states. This significant development aims to enhance Armenia's attractiveness as an accessible and welcoming destination within the South Caucasus, particularly appealing to visitors from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman. The new visa free policy will apply to all passport holders from GCC member states, enabling travel for tourism, leisure, or business purposes without a visa for stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. Additionally, individuals holding valid residency permit issued by any of the GCC countries with at least 6 months of validity from the date of entry to Armenia, will also be eligible for visa-free entry, thereby broadening the accessibility for a substantial segment of the GCC expatriate communities. Officials have highlighted the timeliness of this decision, noting the growing interest among GCC nationals and residents in exploring nearby destinations that offer authentic experiences, diverse culture, and natural beauty. With Armenia's rich historical heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant culinary scene, the country is well-positioned to attract a growing number of travellers and business visitors from the Gulf region. 'This milestone reflects our dedication to making Armenia more accessible to regional travellers,' said Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia. The Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia anticipates that the visa waiver will further stimulate collaboration with the GCC. Armenia previously introduced visa-free travel for UAE citizens in 2017, Qatar citizens in 2019 and Kuwait citizens in 2022 - successful moves that laid the foundation for this expanded regional visa policy.

Israel-Iran conflict: Oman flights cancelled to four countries, see full list of affected routes
Muscat: In light of ongoing regional tensions, two major Omani carriers: SalamAir and Oman Air, have announced the suspension of several international flights to safeguard passengers and crew. SalamAir has temporarily suspended all flights to and from Iran, Iraq, and Azerbaijan until 20 June 2025. The airline also confirmed that transit passengers through Muscat International Airport with final destinations in any of the three countries will not be accepted for travel from their original departure points until further notice. Passengers are urged to ensure their contact details are up to date via the 'Manage Booking' portal at to receive timely flight updates. The airline is closely monitoring the situation and will resume services as soon as conditions permit. Affected travellers will be contacted directly to explore alternative travel options. Meanwhile, Oman Air has also cancelled its Muscat–Amman (Jordan) flights WY411 and WY412, scheduled for 14 and 15 June 2025, citing the same ongoing regional developments. Dhofar Municipality reveals details of Dhofar Khareef Season 2025
Muscat: Dhofar Municipality held a press conference in Salalah to unveil the details of Dhofar Khareef Season 2025, set to begin on June 21 and continue until September 20. His Excellency the President of Dhofar Municipality announced that this year's festivities will take place across five main locations: Atin Square, "Return to the Past" in Al Saada, Awqad Park, the Modern Front in Atin Plain, and Salalah Public Park. Each site will offer unique activities that reflect the rich cultural and natural diversity of Dhofar.
