Ahmedabad-based aviation company Dunes Air has announced its official entry into the air charter business with the launch of its premium chartered services, marking a strategic move to tap into the growing demand for private, flexible, and efficient air travel in India.The company aims to cater to business leaders, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), and discerning travellers who seek privacy, speed, and convenience. 'We are positioning Dunes Air as a premium air carrier, delivering efficient, private, and flexible flying experiences,' said Ritesh Hada, co-founder of the company.As a non-scheduled operator, Dunes Air is beginning operations with two aircraft: the Cessna Citation CJ2+, a light jet suited for fast intercity routes, and the Cessna 208B Grand Caravan, known for its short takeoff capabilities and suitability for regional and remote locations. The mix allows the company to offer services tailored to both urban business corridors and under-served regions with limited airport infrastructure.In a move to expand its long-range and luxury offerings, the company is also set to induct a Challenger jet into its fleet. This addition is expected to enhance its capacity to serve long-distance routes while maintaining premium onboard comfort — an important factor in attracting elite travellers.According to Hada, Dunes Air has already begun connecting major metros with tier-2 cities, focusing on key use cases such as urgent medical evacuations, corporate travel, destination weddings, and spiritual journeys. 'We see significant potential in providing reliable and time-sensitive air transport for clients who value time and exclusivity,' he said.Dunes Air is a joint venture founded by Ritesh Hada along with Shaishav Shah, Ketan Gajjar, Navneet Agarwal, Tanuj Pugalia, and Himanshu Shah. The team brings together experience from diverse sectors, reflecting the multi-dimensional nature of the venture.With India's private aviation market showing strong post-pandemic growth, Dunes Air's entry comes at a time when both leisure and business travellers are increasingly exploring charter services as a viable alternative to commercial flying. Pradeep Parameswaran elevated as Uber's global mobility head in top-level rejig
Uber has promoted Pradeep Parameswaran , its former India and Asia Pacific head, as the global head of mobility , as part of a broader leadership shake-up at the San Francisco-based ride-hailing giant, ET has learnt. According to an internal mail seen by ET, Parameswaran will join Uber's executive leadership team reporting directly to Khosrowshahi. Mobility heads of various regions, including Asia Pacific, Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and US and Canada will report to Parameswaran. Parameswaran takes over from longtime Uber executive Andrew Macdonald, who has now been elevated to chief operating officer after more than 13 years at the company. This marks Parameswaran's second elevation in just over a year. He was appointed global head of business development in 2023, and also led Uber's enterprise product and a newly formed 'fleets' programme team. He was earlier promoted to head of the Asia Pacific region in 2020 during the pandemic. Parameswaran has played a key role in Uber's international expansion, including its acquisitions of CarNextDoor in Australia (2022) and HKTaxi in Hong Kong (2021). He also serves on the board of FSN E-Commerce Ventures — the parent company of beauty and fashion platform Nykaa — as an independent director. Uber's India and South Asia business continues to be led by Prabhjeet Singh. The development was first reported by Bloomberg, which cited an internal memo from Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi . In the note, Khosrowshahi addressed speculation around his own future, saying, 'I recognise the change might prompt some questions about my future, so I'll be clear: I have no plans to go anywhere anytime soon – other than fly around the globe trying to keep up with our ever-growing footprint.' Meenakshi Alternates launches realty-focused ₹700 crore AIF
NEW DELHI: Hyderabad-based Meenakshi Group has launched its new financial services arm - Meenakshi Alternates (M-Alts) and its fund Meenakshi Real Assets Fund for investments in real estate across top-tier cities in India. This SEBI-approved Category II AIF will target a mix of debt and equity investments with a total corpus of ₹700 crore (including a ₹350 crore greenshoe option). Meenakshi Group has committed up to 20% of the fund size as sponsor capital. The fund will focus on self-liquidating real estate assets that offer both consistent cash flows and equity upside. The fund aims to allocate capital to tier I developers with individual investments of up to ₹70 crore per transaction. "Currently, we have three potential deals under due diligence, and we have secured soft commitments from the Meenakshi Group, its network, and early investors," said Mahesh Katragadda , CEO of Meenakshi Alternates.

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch the electric version of its popular SUV, the Tata Harrier, today. Unveiled earlier at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the new Harrier EV is built on the architecture and aims to deliver an impressive real-world range of around 500 km. It features a dual-motor quad-wheel-drive (QWD) system and a host of premium offerings, setting it up as a strong competitor in the electric SUV market, directly challenging rivals like the Mahindra Harrier EV maintains the bold and muscular styling of the original model, with DRLs and headlamps similar to the ICE version, but sports a revamped grille and bumper that give it a unique identity. Its exterior is defined by clean lines, sharp creases, and refined surfaces. A continuous LED DRL strip with dramatic lighting effects and specially designed turbine blade alloy wheels improve both its aerodynamics and futuristic appeal. Based on a monocoque chassis derived from the Land Rover D8-based OMEGA platform—developed in partnership with Jaguar Land Rover—the Harrier EV combines toughness with the hood, the Harrier EV is powered by a dual-motor setup offering quad-wheel-drive and a peak torque output of 500 Nm.
