A man charged with the murder of a woman who was found at a residential property in Cardiff has appeared in court. A woman charged with preventing a lawful and decent burial of a dead property and perverting the course of justice has also appeared.
The body of Paria Veisi, 31, was found by police at a house in Penylan on Saturday, April 19, after she had been subject to a missing persons' appeal. She had last been seen leaving her workplace in Canton at around 3pm on Saturday, April 12, in her black Mercedes GLC 220.
Her disappearance was described by police as "totally out of character", prompting a widespread search and public appeal. For the latest court reports sign up to our crime newsletter.
Paria was described as having long, curly black hair – she was last seen wearing a black zip-up gym top over a red top, black trousers and trainers. She was carrying a small handbag.
A murder investigation was launched and a 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were arrested.

Following the discovery of Paria's body, Alireza Askari, 41, was charged with murder, preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Maryam Delavary, 48, from Australia Road, White City Estate, London, was charged with preventing a lawful and decent burial of a dead body and conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
Both defendants appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Saturday and both appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on Tuesday, where they spoke only to confirm their names, dates of birth and addresses.
The Recorder of Cardiff, Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke, remanded both of the defendants in custody to appear at a plea trial and preparation on May 16. A provisional trial date has been set for October 6, with the hearing estimated to last four weeks.
A memorial service for Paria has been organised at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre, on Wednesday, April 23, in her honour.

A notice inviting people to the service reads: "With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we invite you to a memorial gathering in honour of the kindness, selflessness, and the many smiles Paria Veisi shared throughout her life.
"Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. We warmly welcome you to join us in remembering and celebrating Paria's life.
"Your presence will be a great comfort to those mourning her loss and a tribute to the beautiful life she lived."

Following the discovery of Paria's body, senior investigating officer, detective chief inspector Matt Powell, of South Wales Police, said: 'This brings our search for Paria to a sad and tragic end. Paria's family, all those who knew her, and those in her local community, will be deeply saddened and shocked by these latest developments. Family liaison officers are continuing to support Paria's family.
"I would like to thank all those who have come forward so far with information since our appeal was launched.'
