Real reason for Christine McGuinness's toxic fall out with Chelcee Grimes revealed after star grew close to Dan Osborne

Real reason for Christine McGuinness's toxic fall out with Chelcee Grimes revealed after star grew close to Dan Osborne

The Suna day ago

IN the scorching heat of a sizzling Ibizan summer back in 2023, Christine McGuinness and Chelcee Grimes couldn't have been closer as they locked lips during a girly holiday with pals.
But in a shocking turn of events, just weeks later, the former bosom buddies were barely speaking, each pressing the dreaded 'unfollow' on Instagram and disappearing from each other's lives at the click of a button. What's baffling is that the reason for the sudden end to the close pal's friendship has never been revealed - until now.

Those with intimate knowledge of the pair's short-lived but deep bond- which has found itself back in the spotlight this week after Christine revealed in a new podcast interview that she has always 'dated men and women' - tell The Sun that the pair stopped speaking after an explosive argument over the nature of their relationship.
A source said: 'Christine and Chelcee had a blazing row after a discussion about where they stood with each other.
The fallout took place in late 2023, a year after they first grew close while filming ITV's The Games, a time when Christine turned to Chelcee for support after splitting from husband Paddy a few months earlier.
'TOO INTENSE'
'Chelcee had been a rock for Christine after her split from Paddy and they were incredibly close. But while Chelcee was a bit more full on, Christine wanted them just to have fun and thought it was becoming too intense.
' Christine had a lot on her plate with her children and her career. They ended up having an argument and in the heat of the moment unfollowed each other on social media.'
Of course, as The Sun revealed yesterday, around the same time that Christine was spending time with Chelcee, she was also seeking comfort in a growing friendship with former Towie star Dan Osborne.
The pair enjoyed a series of nights out on the town in March 2023 and bonded over the end of her marriage to Paddy, while Dan was trying to make things work with his wife Jacqueline Jossa after a rocky patch.
While we understand nothing romantic ever happened between them, it's understood they shared a 'flirty' texts where Christine would call him 'D'.
It's unclear whether Chelcee was aware of Christine's friendship with Dan, but there is no suggestion it contributed to their fallout.
Nevertheless, radio silence followed between Christine and Chelcee after the spat - a s tark contrast to their kisses in the Balearic Isles, or the scene seven months prior in December 2022, when they were snapped kissing on the lips at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.

TIME APART
The source adds: 'They both needed a bit of time out to get their heads straight. It's always sad when you're close with someone and then heated words are exchanged, and they were both upset.'
After a cooling off period, pals say the pair made tentative steps towards repairing things, but ultimately their friendship never recovered.
'After taking some time apart they tried to work through it and get their friendship back on track. Christine meant the world to Chelcee,' a pal tells us.
'Unfortunately, things just felt different after their fallout. Christine was still going through the stress of a divorce, while living under the same roof as Paddy, so she was still in a different place to Chelcee, even after their time apart.'
Since relations soured with Chelcee, Christine grew very close with another female friend, DJ Roxxxan.
They enjoyed a sunsoaked holiday together in the summer of 2024, even sharing cheeky snaps of them 'playing footsie' on social media.

THE FEUD ESCALATES
While the rumour mill went into overdrive, the nature of their relationship was unclear - although reports claimed they were sharing a room during their getaway.
Chelcee, for one, didn't seem impressed by Christine's new gal pal.
That same summer while the blonde was enjoying her care-free break with the striking musician, Chelcee liked a comment from a fan on Instagram, which read: 'Christine is fake as they come, Chelcee deserved so much better.
"Christine can keep trying to get attention and fake a new romance."
While this was the final nail in the coffin for any chance of Christine and Chelcee repairing things appeared too busy enjoying herself with her new friend to care.
And while neither Christine nor Roxxxan addressed speculation that they were romantically involved, Christine confirmed in an interview on Loose Women after the holiday that she was dating.
CHRISTINE'S CONFESSION
With a beaming smile on her face, she told panellist Coleen Nolan: "I am dating with terms and conditions that I am not cooking, that's the number one rule, I'm not doing the cooking it's not for me."
Things also appeared to have cooled between Christine and Roxxxan in recent months however.
They haven't been seen in public together since late 2024, and although they haven't unfollowed each other on social media, they haven't posted any snaps on holidays or nights out.
Fast forward to today, and sources close to Christine tell us she isn't romantically involved with anyone right now - at least not seriously.
Christine feels like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders
A pal tells The Sun
'She's actually free and single and she is happy that way at the moment,' a friend of the blonde mum-of-three tells us.
And while Christine recently caused a headache for Channel 4 bosses when she pulled out of filming for Celebs Go Dating last month after deciding she wasn't ready to date on camera, we're told she's in the best place she has been for years after deciding to open up about her sexuality on Elizabeth Day's How To Fail podcast.

FINALLY FREE
'Christine feels like a weight has been lifted off her shoulders since she did that interview,' a pal reveals.
'The chat was always scheduled to promote her joining Celebs Go Dating, but when she pulled out of the show, she decided to go ahead with the podcast appearance anyway.
'Her sexuality has been whispered about for years and she was fed up of it. She wanted to talk about it on her terms in a space where she felt safe. Now she has, she feels liberated and more confident than ever.'
In the hour-long chat, Christine told presenter and broadcaster Elizabeth that she has dated both men and women since her teens, and revealed husband Paddy always knew she also liked girls.
Who is Chelcee Grimes?
She said: 'It shouldn't matter somebody's gender. It never mattered to me, which was why once me and my ex-husband were separated and I met people, I didn't properly date.
'It was more like blurred the lines of friendships for me, that was normal. It felt comfortable because I'd done that as a teenager and I, as a teenager, I dated both men and women. My ex-husband knew. My family knew. It was never a secret for me.''
BYE BYE BOYS
Although Christine refuses to put a label on her sexuality, instead preferring to call herself a 'free spirit', sources claim she has privately told pals that she can't ever see herself dating a man again.
'She didn't say this publicly on the podcast, but Christine has made no secret to her nearest and dearest that she believes she will only date women in the future.
'She's only ever had one serious relationship with a man, and that was the man she married, Paddy, but she prefers dating women because she feels more of an emotional connection with them.
'She still finds men physically attractive, but for her it goes deeper with a woman, almost on a spiritual level.
'Obviously, things can always change and you never know who will come into your life, but her friends have said they would be very surprised if Christine ever settled down with a bloke again.'

Rhian Sugden sent temperatures soaring as she flaunted her 'big old boobs' while posing in a sexy sheer bra ahead of her breast reduction surgery. The glamour model, 38, looked sensational in the laced lingerie set as she beamed for the lens. 'A moment for my skin and another for the tig ol bitties,' she captioned her latest Instagram post on Friday. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'A moment for my skin and another for the tig ol bitties,' she captioned her latest Instagram post She wrote: 'One month to go until my breast uplift + reduction = one perkier, lighter, better version of me incoming! 'The countdown to the boob reboot is ON! @pallmallcosmetics ✨.' Rhian previously shared a comparison photo of her breasts - one showing her current large breasts and another showing what they looked like before. She also posted several screenshots of cruel comments from trolls criticising her decision to reduce her size, before revealing her 'soon-to-be nipple position' to her followers. Explaining her reasons for wanting the surgery, Rhian said: '12 months ago before I got pregnant my boobs where large but still at a manageable size of a DD/E cup.' 'After having a baby my size has increased to an F and I'm spilling out of my bras even at that size. I'm having an uplift and a reduction.' 'Boob experts (men) are messaging me telling me to just lose weight and they'll shrink. Look at me!?? I'm the size I was yet despite your professional advice my melons haven't shrunk. Who'd have thought?' She went on: 'My back hurts. I long to wear backless dresses. Buy sexy lingerie, wear no bra when I go out, run, swim without them falling out of my swim suit. They don't make me happy this big. 'Messaging me and calling me deluded for wanting a reduction to go back to the size I was 12 months ago - is absurd. Seriously, what is wrong with humans these days. 'It's MY body. It's my Happiness and it's MY choice. 'The surgeon has said my nipples are 11 centimetres LOWER than they should be, that my friends is not where I want them. 'I'm sharing my journey as it's a very big and yes, scary move for me but this is something I NEED to do for myself. To make myself feel better. 'It'd be nice to have support and people that don't have anything nice to say just don't say anything at all ❤️'

Tinie Tempah says nightlife crisis means ‘losing that physical connection'

Tinie Tempah has said that young people are 'losing that physical connection' by not being part of the UK's nightlife economy as he teased new music. The 36-year-old rapper, from south London, is backing the Night Time Industries Association's (NTIA) The Last Night Out campaign, which pushes for people to get away from their screens and onto the dance floor. Advertisement 'As a dad, I've seen how different things are for this generation,' said Tempah, who has not released a studio album since 2017's Youth, as he appears to have focused towards his children and taken a break from music. 'We're losing that physical connection, the joy and energy that you get from dancing, meeting new people from all backgrounds and being free. Tinie Tempah is backing The Last Night Out campaign (Chris J Ratcliffe/PA) 'I didn't want to just talk about it – I wanted to do something. Music brings people together – and nightlife is where that magic happens.' The campaign calls on the UK government to step up and provide urgent financial support for night-time venues as well as cultural protection for 'iconic clubs'. Advertisement The NTIA released data last year showing 37 per cent of nightclubs had closed across the UK since March 2020. Tempah has returned to the studio and is developing a collaboration with gaming platforms Roblox and Fortnite to integrate music and virtual life, according to the NTIA. He is also creating a short film and a series of live events focused on 'driving energetic movement and nightlife', which will be unveiled at technology, creative and business conference SXSW London on Friday. He will be joined at the event at London nightclub XOYO by NTIA chief executive Michael Kill, north London musician and DJ Majestic and BBC Radio 1 DJ Charlie Tee for a 'one-off evening of music, culture and conversation about the future of the UK's night-time economy'. Advertisement View this post on Instagram A post shared by SXSW London (@sxswlondon) Mr Kill said: 'It's been amazing to see how Tinie Tempah has resonated with The Last Night Out's message. 'He really understands what's at stake – not just for club culture, but for society. 'Nightlife isn't just entertainment; it's a space for freedom, creativity, connection and movement. We're thrilled to have Tinie Tempah bring his voice, his energy and his music to the campaign.' Introduced to the NTIA by the Mayor of London's office, Tempah believes the shared experience of nightlife is an important part of the UK's future society. Advertisement Tempah, known for hits including Written In The Stars and Pass Out, has presented the six-part art show Extraordinary Portraits as well as a property programme called Extraordinary Extensions. His recent music has included the 2021 track Love Me Like This with Swedish singer Maia Wright, and 2023 song How You Samba, a collaboration with Dutch DJ Kris Kross Amsterdam and Mexican singer and songwriter Sofia Reyes.

Chris Hughes' ex reveals she's pregnant as Celebrity Big Brother star confirms Jowo Siwa relationship

CHRIS Hughes' former girlfriend has revealed that she is pregnant and expecting her first child. Tennis player Annabel Dimmock confirmed the news that she would be welcoming her first baby on Instagram earlier today. 5 5 The star showed off her bare baby bump in the snaps as she lounged by a private pool. She wore a pink crop top which allowed her blossoming belly to be totally exposed as she kept her jean shorts unbuttoned to allow for extra breathing space. Annabel captioned her pregnancy reveal post with a cheeky tennis pun, writing: "New rookie on tour coming soon." Whilst she did not add anything further, her post appeared to allude at the baby's gender as she posed next to a tiny pair of pink fluffy shoes in a clear hint she is expecting a girl. It will be the first child of Chris' ex and her partner, Alfie Best Jnr. Alfie has previously been described as the son of the UK's richest gypsy, worth a cool £10million thanks to his dad. Alfie's dad - Alfie Snr - has a billion pound fortune, a £6million mansion, a fleet of supercars, an Aston Martin helicopter, a jet and a yacht. The Sun first revealed Annabel and Alfie's romance in 2023 with pals of the tennis ace praising Alfie and their blossoming relationship. The jet-setting entrepreneur - who has a £10million fortune – told The Sun how he has found inner peace after converting to Islam. The Romany gypsy, 25, who appeared in reality show Absolutely Ascot, is thought to be the first traveller to take up the faith and told how he found Allah after a helicopter trip to Cornwall for lunch. Alfie - joint 85 th in the Rich List for people under 30 with actress Millie Bobby Brown - left school at 12, hired a van and a driver and sold cleaning products to factory bosses. He bought a nightclub at 16 and sold it a year later. Now he owns two caravan parks and sells eye-wateringly expensive watches to celebs, millionaires and footballers. Annebel split from Chris in 2022 after an 11-month romance. The news of Annabel and Alfie's baby comes after her ex Chris revealed joyous news of his own - that he had fallen for former child star, JoJo Siwa. The pair developed an intensely close bond in the Celebrity Big Brother house although JoJo was romancing Aussie star Kath Ebbs at the time. She later dumped Kath at the show's wrap-party and quickly moved things along with Chris after revealing their extreme friendship was no longer "platonic". The couple have since shared plenty of loved-up snaps and gushed about their bond in a number of media interviews. 5 5
