Grand National favourite Inothewayurthinkin has been added as a supplementary entry for the Cheltenham Gold Cup on Friday.
The seven-year-old, trained by Gavin Cromwell for owner JP McManus, will bid to deny Galopin Des Champs a hat-trick in the race.
Fact To File and L'Homme Presse have been withdrawn, along with Conflated, Grangeclere West, Grey Dawning and Hewick.
That leaves 10 potential contenders for the Gold Cup, with the McManus-owned Fact To File set to run in Thursday's shorter Ryanair Chase.
L'Homme Presse's absence leaves his Venetia Williams' stablemate Royale Pagaille and The Real Whacker, for Patrick Neville, as the only British-trained runners, with the remainder from Ireland.
Inowthewayurthinkin won the Kim Muir Chase at Cheltenham last year before a Grade One victory at Aintree.
He was fourth behind Galopin Des Champs in the Irish Gold Cup last month and has been added to the English showpiece, which has a first prize of £350,000, at the cost of £25,000.
Inowthewayurthinkin is rated about a 7-1 chance by bookmakers for the Gold Cup, for which the 2023 and 2024 winner Galopin Des Champs is the 1-2 favourite.
Galopin Des Champs is bidding to become the first triple winner since Best Mate in 2004 and only the second after Arkle in the 1960s.
Other hopefuls include King George VI Chase winner Banbridge and another McManus entry, Corbetts Cross.
Inothewayurthinkin is about a 7-1 favourite for the Grand National at Aintree on 5 April - 22 days after the Gold Cup.
Only one horse - Golden Miller in 1934 - has won both races in the same season.
Cheltenham Gold Cup entries: Ahoy Senor, Banbridge, Corbetts Cross, Galopin Des Champs, Gentlemansgame, Inothewayurthinkin, Jungle Boogie, Monty's Star, Royale Pagaille, The Real Whacker.

Reports: USMNT midfielder Musah to join Napoli in €25m transfer Show Caption Hide Caption Weston McKennie: Landon Donovan's dig at Christian Pulisic was sad U.S. Men's National Team standout Weston McKennie reacts to Landon Donovan's comments regarding Christian Pulisic. Sports Seriously Yunus Musah looks to be on the move, though the AC Milan midfielder won't be leaving Serie A. According to multiple reports, Musah is on the brink of joining Italian champion Napoli in a move worth around €25 million. Napoli coach Antonio Conte is said to be an admirer of the 22-year-old, who looks to be part of a revamped midfield that is also set to include former Man City star Kevin De Bruyne. Musah will help replace Philip Billing, who was on loan from Bournemouth this past season and will not be retained. Musah has spent two seasons with Milan after joining from Valencia in 2023. The midfielder earned plenty of minutes with the Rossoneri, but never completely found his footing during his time at the club. The U.S. international managed 40 appearances in all competitions last season, playing a variety of positions including right back, right winger and central midfield. Though he was at times a lock starter, Musah's minutes declined over the final weeks of the 2024-25 campaign. He was removed twice as a tactical sub in a four-game span in March and April. Musah is set to trade Serie A's eighth-place finisher for its champion, swapping a season with no European competition for Champions League play. It will be a welcome boost for his USMNT chances. Musah was set to be on the Gold Cup roster this summer, but requested to be removed due to a personal issue. Musah has 46 caps with the USMNT, including starts in all four of the team's games at the 2022 World Cup.

Colorado, USMNT goalkeeper Zack Steffen has knee surgery, out 4-to-6 weeks

Colorado Rapids and United States Men's National Team goalkeeper Zack Steffen had surgery on his right knee on Tuesday, and the Rapids said he is expected to be sidelined for four-to-six weeks. Steffen was injured during training with the USMNT in Chicago on Wednesday, causing him to miss the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The Rapids said the operation was on his right medial meniscus. Steffen lost an opportunity to perhaps regain the U.S. starting spot. The 30-year-old started six of 14 World Cup qualifiers ahead of the 2022 tournament, including the last three, then was left off the World Cup roster by then-coach Gregg Berhalter. Steffen played his first national team match in nearly three years in a January friendly against Costa Rica and coach Mauricio Pochettino said last month that Matt Turner, the starter since 2022, was not assured of being his No. 1 choice for the Gold Cup. Turner didn't play for Crystal Palace after March 1. This is the second injury to a goalkeeper on the USMNT in recent weeks, with the first 24-year-old Patrick Schulte. The keeper for MLS' Columbus Crew strained his oblique on May 24. Matt Freese, 26, made his national debut in goal during Saturday's 2-1 loss to Turkey, while 21-year-old Chris Brady rounds out the remaining goalkeepers on the roster. The Associated Press contributed to this report. Want great stories delivered right to your inbox?
