EXCLUSIVE Victoria 'relied on Brooklyn' and he was 'very much man of the house' when she was having marriage trouble with David, says KATIE HIND in new YouTube show decoding the feud tearing Beckhams apart

Daily Mail4 days ago

Throughout his childhood Brooklyn Beckham was his mother's 'rock' and became 'the man of the house' while David and Victoria were experiencing marriage problems.
In a new Daily Mail Entertainment YouTube show, Beckham Breakdown: Inside the Family Feud, the Mail's Katie Hind reveals how Victoria 'really relied' on Brooklyn, 26, before he met his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30.
Speaking on the documentary, Hind said: 'They were absolutely inseparable and I remember she took him to the Glamour Awards in 2013 as her date.
'She got up on stage and paid tribute to him and said he was the most handsome man in the room.
'She really relied on Brooklyn and he was the man of the house and he very much lived up to that while David was away and I think at the time they were having difficulties in their marriage.
'They had moved back to London, David was away and Brooklyn was a real rock for her.'

The couple have spoken openly of their marital challenges, including in David's Netflix documentary, Beckham but came through it all to remain strong today.
But then in 2019, Brooklyn and Nicola met at Leonardo Di Caprio's Halloween party and later married in 2022, then last month the Mail revealed how there has been a longstanding feud culminating in Brooklyn and his wife missing David's 50th birthday celebrations.
The feud had been kept secret by the Beckhams for months and in what was his last interview before the bitter family rift surfaced, Brooklyn shared the advice with the Mail that he gave Harper about growing up in the spotlight.
Speaking ahead of his race for Formula E in March, Brooklyn, 26, told the Mail: 'I just tell her, find that one thing that you love and just put your head down, don't listen to anyone.'
It comes as Brooklyn issued a clear message to his family that he was siding with Nicola, 30, who he calls the love of his life, by sharing a gushing Instagram post to his wife of three years.
The aspiring chef wrote: 'I always choose you baby, you're the most amazing person in the world, me and you forever baby.'
Hours after the post, Cruz, the Beckhams' youngest son waded in on the row for the first time by writing an Instagram post in support of his parents, showing he does not side with Brooklyn.
The 20-year-old aspiring muscian penned: 'I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, mum and dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what, I cannot tell you how blessed we are to have you in our lives.'
David and Victoria have resigned to the fact that they have become estranged from their beloved son after he failed to attend any of the football ace's 50th birthday celebrations last month.
Despite flying to London, Brooklyn and Nicola didn't attend the big family party at the Beckhams' Cotswolds home or an idyllic trip to France or a meal at Notting Hill restuarant, Core.
The 20-year-old aspiring musician penned: 'I love my family. I love you guys more than anything, mum and dad you gave us life and cared for us no matter what,'
David, 50, and Victoria, 51, are involved in a bitter fallout with their eldest son, 26, and it is understood his wife Nicola Peltz , daughter of an American billionaire, is at the heart of it
Earlier this week, there was further proof of the irreparable nature of the rift when Brooklyn and Nicola jetted to the capital from their home in Los Angeles on Monday for a joint photoshoot with Italian luxury fashion brand Moncler.
It took place less than two miles away from the Beckham family home in Holland Park, west London. Brooklyn didn't even tell David and Victoria they were in the country - let alone meet with them.
Harper - who turns 14 in July - was exceptionally close with Brooklyn and Nicola, who often shared pictures of her on Instagram gushing over the teen and calling her 'my younger sister'.
It will no doubt be heartbreaking for the Beckhams' youngest child with speculation as to whether her eldest brother will attend her 14th birthday celebrations.

Is 'bad attitude' useful? Fans on Cunha signing

We asked for your views on Matheus Cunha signing for Manchester are some of your comments:Nick: I'm happy with this. We're creating, but not scoring, so getting someone in who has experience scoring in the Premier League can only be a good I think it is a fantastic signing in this struggling Manchester United era. I see hope because he can play in so many positions in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-3/3-4-2-1 and United need goals, that's all they Cunha has the skills but does he have the temperament for the most 'under the microscope' and 'under pressure' club currently in the world? I hope so but so much needs to change around him to get the best from him. Let's hope Amorim's plan gets the support from the boardroom. I'm still holding my At last; the right player, at the right price and at the right age. What could go wrong?Karl: Definitely a step in the right direction. His stats say he has everything we've been missing - awareness, speed, balance, a finishing edge and above all, confidence. Can't wait to see how he works alongside the likes of Amad, Fernandes and Yes, he's renowned for his 'bad attitude' but that's just because he wants to win, which is an attitude sadly lacking in quite a few of our current squad. I seem to recall a certain Mr Cantona was slated for his attitude when we signed him!

Chelsea 'begin talks with £50m-rated Borussia Dortmund star' - as they look to further bolster attack ahead of Club World Cup

Chelsea have stepped up their interest in Borussia Dortmund 's Jamie Gittens as they begin talks over a potential £50million move for the winger. Enzo Maresca 's side are looking to bolster their attack as they prepare for life in the Champions League next season, for the first time in three seasons. Mail Sport understands that Liam Delap has already undergone the first part of his medical ahead of joining the Blues from Ipswich Town for £30m. And now they have set their sights on bringing in a winger to accompany their new frontman. Chelsea first reported their interest in Gittens, 20, when they enquired about his services in January, and according to the Telegraph, they are now ready to act. The England Under 21s starlet is believed to have a release clause around the £50m mark, with many of European football's elite clubs circling. With Jadon Sancho's future at Chelsea still up in the air - with the club debating whether to turn on their obligation to buy the Manchester United loanee for £25m - the Gittens deal is taking their full attention. The west London side are believed to be pushing for a deal to be completed quickly due to both their and Dortmund's participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, which begins on June 14. Gittens would be able to play for the Blues in the competition, should he sign, due to not being selected in Lee Carsley's Young Lions squad as they seek to retain the Under 21s Euros in Slovakia this summer. The Club World Cup is seen as a priority over the youth international tournament, so Gittens was left out by Carsley due to Dortmund's participation. The winger is the next star off of the Bundesliga production line, following in the footsteps of both Sancho and Jude Bellingham by shining in Dortmund. After breaking through in the 2023-24 campaign, Gittens truly began to shine in the last 12 months, scoring 12 goals and bagging five assists in all competitions last season. He also made history in the Champions League, becoming the youngest English player to score in the tournament when he found the net against 15-time winners Real Madrid, aged just 20 and 75 days.
