Shock report reveals Kate Middleton's brush with death: Insider says she was fortunate to survive

Time of India5 hours ago

Kate Middleton
's recent battle with cancer almost took her life, making recovery a long and difficult journey. According to palace insiders, the princess is focusing on regaining her strength and putting family first over royal duties. This serves as an emotional reminder of the true value of life and health.
Kate Middleton is "fortunate to be even speaking of recovery" after her health issues have sent her "to hell and back" over the past 18 months, as per a report by the Daily Beast.
Why did Kate Middleton need so much time to heal?
Rebecca English, the Daily Mail's royal correspondent, was informed by a source that while Kate's physical recovery is still in progress, the experience has given her "mental clarity" about her priorities.

The report was released in the midst of the controversy surrounding her unexpected choice to not attend the

races with the king.
After cancer was discovered, Kate first had abdominal surgery and then received prophylactic chemotherapy. The chemo treatment was administered through a surgically fitted "port."

How will this change her role in the royal family?
'I can say that, from what I understand, she is fortunate to even be speaking of recovery,' English, a longtime royal correspondent with excellent palace contacts who assists in coordinating the royal pool system that governs much royal reporting based in the United Kingdom, said on Tuesday.
'On some levels I actually think this is a good reminder that she was really seriously ill last year and underwent a significant period of chemo. As anyone who has been through that experience will tell you, you can feel very unwell for a long time afterwards. It can take years to recover,' as per a report by the Daily Beast.
What will Kate Middleton's summer look like?
According to the Daily Beast, Kate will attend the Wimbledon tennis championships. On July 8, she might also attend a "meet and greet" for a French state visit to Windsor Castle. Kate is anticipated to withdraw to Norfolk for the summer after that.
According to a source who spoke to The Royalist, Kate is unlikely to make more than three appearances in the upcoming three months. The source stated, "The important thing here is Kate's recovery."
Unfortunately, having three appearances in less than a week was too much for her, and she has learned her lesson. The remainder of the year will be considerably easier for Kate, as per a report.
Last week, The Daily Beast was informed by another source that Kate is "recalibrating her entire life, her entire work-life balance." Public appearances, along with the accompanying forensic scrutiny and criticism, have never been easy for her to handle, and this week was just too much.
FAQs
Will Kate Middleton be making more public appearances soon?
Probably just a few this summer as she prioritizes rest and recovery.
Why was this recovery described as a 'wake-up call'?
The illness, treatments, and public scrutiny have changed how she balances her personal and royal responsibilities.

Glass traders' federation clarifies microplastics not caused by glass but metal caps

Mumbai: The All India Glass Manufacturers' Federation (AIGMF) Wednesday addressed media reports about a French study that showed the presence of microplastics in beverages packaged in glass bottles. "These reports misinterpret findings from a scientific study conducted by the French Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (ANSES). The ANSES study, in its clear findings, points out that any plastic particles observed in drinks primarily originate from the paint on the caps used for decoration in glass bottles for packaging beverages," said a press release. "The study investigates the presence of microplastics across different types of beverage containers (plastic, cartons, cans and glass) in drinks such as water, soda, iced tea, wine and beer. The study is clear that the level of microplastics found in the bottles tested is linked to the metal caps/ closures of the bottles, and not from glass packaging itself." Study reveals how 'unhealthy' seed oils can help prevent heart diseases and type 2 diabetes

Image credits: Getty Images The seed of thought that certain 'seed oils' are unhealthy and harmful for the body, has been crushed by a new study to reveal a new oily detail. For years, social media health gurus and nutrition coaches have warned people against using seed oils for cooking, treating it like a toxic product. However, a new study presented at the 2025 annual meeting of the American Society for Nutrition, has crushed that seed to prove that its oil is, on the contrary, very healthy. Linoleic acid is healthy for the body Image credits: Getty Images According to the findings of the study, people with high levels of linoleic acid have a lower risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes due to reduced inflammation. Linoleic acid is present in seed oils, derived from the seeds of a plant such as sunflower, canola and sesame. Thus, this association completely dissolves the belief that seed oils are "bad" for health. "The study based on almost 1900 people found that higher linoleic acid in blood plasma was associated with lower levels of biomarkers of cardiometabolic risk," said Kevin C. Maki, adjunct professor at the Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington in a statement. The study is based on prominent evidence Image credits: Getty Images While these results match with previous research, this study was based on bloodwork and this makes its findings even more prominent than observational evidence. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo The study made the use of objective biomarkers rather than diet records or food frequency questionnaires to assess linoleic acid intake. Additionally, markers of inflammation and indicators of glucose metabolism were also analysed. Maki noted how they tested for other inflammation biomarkers and consistently found that 'people with higher levels of linoleic acid in their blood tended to have a healthier overall risk profile for heart disease and diabetes.' Not just the study, experts as well are adding to the fact that seed oils aren't as unhealthy as proposed. "Seed oils are objectively quite healthy, in that they're typically low in saturated fats,' said Kerry Beeson, a nutritional therapist at Prep Kitchen to NY Post.
