NEW FIRE: Weber County blaze contained at 700 acres
WEBER COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — A wildfire broke out in Weber County on Friday, according to Utah Fire Info.
The 'Rail Trail Unit Fire' reportedly broke out on state lands on Friday, April 25. The blaze is human-caused, officials said.
As of late Friday night, officials said the fire is 100% contained at 700 acres.
No further information is available at this time.

HONOLULU (KHON2) – A rather stable, light to moderate trade wind flow remains in place this afternoon. A surface trough lies between Hawaii and somewhat strong high pressure farther north, causing the local pressure gradient and resulting trade winds to weaker than usual, and a mid-level ridge sitting over the islands is maintaining stable conditions with an inversion based near 7,000 ft. A narrow slot of reduced moisture is producing minimal rainfall along windward areas this afternoon, and aside from scattered showers over the Kona slopes of the Big Island and Ulupalakua area of Upcountry Maui, leeward areas are dry. Shower activity over leeward Maui will dissipate quickly around sundown and will diminish overnight on the Big Island. Shower activity over windward areas will remain light, with the exception of a possible uptick near Kauai and Oahu near sunrise. Subtle changes are expected Monday and Tuesday. A surface trough will develop roughly 600 miles northwest of Kauai and cause local trade winds to veer out of the east to east-southeast, possibly causing afternoon leeward sea breezes to be more extensive on Kauai and Oahu. Early summer heatwave settles in with a few afternoon thunderstorms
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4) – Happy Monday, Utah! It's shaping up to be a hot start to the week across Utah and as high pressure settles in overhead. Temperatures are already running above normal, and you can expect things to heat up even more heading into midweek. We're talking sunshine, very warm afternoons, and that classic summer feel…especially across northern Utah where temps will rise a few more degrees today. Daytime highs will climb to around 90 degrees along the Wasatch Front, and triple-digit heat for St. George. That said, it's not completely dry out there. There's still some lingering moisture hanging around, and that means we can't rule out a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms, especially over the higher terrain. These storms won't be widespread, but they'll be the kind that bubble up with daytime heating, toss out a few gusty outflow winds, and then fizzle once the sun starts to dip. By midweek, the ridge remains in control, but a weak low nearby could stir up a bit more action in the skies. Look for another round of high-based storms that might stretch beyond the mountains and drift into the surrounding valleys late Tuesday and Wednesday. Again, they won't bring much rain…but they could kick up some wind. Looking beyond midweek, things really dry out. A broader pattern shift will usher in hot and breezy southwesterly flow across the region, especially from Thursday into the weekend. That means we'll need to keep a close watch on fire danger—conditions are looking ripe for critical fire weather, especially in central and southern Utah. Earthquake shakes East Bay on Sunday night
(KRON) — An earthquake shook in the East Bay on Sunday night, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). A preliminary 3.4 earthquake was reported near Pinole at around 9:30 p.m. The epicenter is in the San Francisco Bay near the shoreline of Pinole Shores Park. The epicenter is about one mile away from Pinole. The earthquake's depth is listed to be 9.4 kilometers (or about 5.84 miles), according to USGS.
