Prince Harry Snuck in an Under-the-Radar Visit to Brooklyn During His N.Y.C. Trip with Meghan Markle
Prince Harry made a surprise visit to talk tech with a savvy group of young people during his visit to New York City with his wife, Meghan Markle.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, participated in the Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund (RTYPF) Convening in Brooklyn on Thursday, April 24.
'Thank God you guys exist, thank God you guys are here,' TechCrunch reported that Prince Harry told the group, which was made up of a dozen young leaders and funders working towards 'a safer, more inclusive digital future.'
As the power of technology only continues to grow, Harry said that we all have a 'responsibility' to prioritize safety over profits. He and Meghan have helped fund the RTYPF through their Archwell Foundation, and the Duke of Sussex said he has a vested interest in the work of each contributor.
'You have the knowledge and the skillset and the confidence and the bravery and the courage to be able to stand up to these things,' he added.

Online safety was a theme of Prince Harry and Meghan's New York City trip, where Meghan also spoke at the TIME100 Summit.
During their visit, they unveiled The Lost Screen Memorial, a powerful installation comprised of 50 smartphones, each displaying the lock screen photo of a child whose life was cut short, stemming from the harmful effects of social media.
The personal images were shared by parents, who are members of the Archewell Foundation Parents' Network, to call attention to the need for safer online spaces.
"These are families that we have been working with for several years," Meghan said at the event in midtown Manhattan, which PEOPLE attended. "No matter how polarized the world is, or what people may or may not agree on, one thing that we can all agree on is that our children should be safe. All of our children should be safe, and I think tonight, all of these stories solidify that."
Harry said, "These children were not sick. Their deaths were not inevitable—they were exposed to, and in many cases were pushed harmful content online, the kind any child could encounter. No child should be exploited, groomed, or preyed upon in digital spaces. To the platforms, they may be seen as statistics. To their families, they were cherished and irreplaceable."

A virtual version of the memorial included stories about each child, with some of the parents recording a personal voice message for people to listen to.

When the couple was asked what advice they would give to parents about social media and their children, Harry responded: "The easiest thing to say is: Keep your kids away from social media. The sad reality is that the kids who aren't on social media normally get bullied at school because they can't be part of the same conversations as everybody else."
"Life is better off of social media," he continued. "I say that as a parent, and I say that as someone who's spoken to many of the kids here tonight who lost a brother or a sister to social media. But clearly, enough is not enough. Enough is not being done."

'I own the UK's most haunted hotel and this is why people leave in the middle of the night'
A hotel in Chester is said to be so haunted that some people cannot stay for an entire night. Ye Olde King's Head in Chester is said to be one of the UK's most haunted buildings, home to over a dozen ghosts, dating back to 1622. The ghosts are believed to be the tormented souls of civil war soldiers, Roman soldiers and young children and women who worked there when it was a brothel. After seeing an opportunity arise, Harry Achilleos bought the site back in 2013. Now, it is a "My Haunted Hotel" and has 24-hour surveillance cameras to catch any potential paranormal activity. READ MORE: Netflix series so 'powerful' fans 'ended up binge watching it in a few hours' READ MORE: Kerry Katona gives health update after emergency surgery leaves her 'in agony' But the place is said to be so haunted, guests used to leave in the middle of the night. Even some of Harry's own family refuses to visit. Speaking exclusively to Reach Plc's Screen Time team, Harry himself admitted he has faced paranormal activity in the hotel. He said: "There is a belief that when you do renovation work, the whole place becomes active. We had a refurbishment in 2014 and all of the rooms were renovated, and the place kicked off." He added: "One night there was no-one in the building and something had started. I watched the (bed) covers wrap around me tighter and tighter and I just said 'please stop' and then I saw the covers relax. "You can hear knocking on doors every night and the sound of children running down corridors. "Out of the three of us, I'm the bravest but the King's Head doesn't feel like there's anything evil there, it's really just a haunted place and so active, whereas our other sites it can feel like there's an evil presence." Harry bought the site "purely on a whim", having always been into paranormal activity and supernatural sightings, often travelling around the country. Now, he hosts My Haunted Project with Dan Callaghan and Danny Moss, with other haunted sites located in Pendle Hill and the USA. Harry added: "It nearly made me bankrupt, I had to get the pub and hotel right before I could do this and it wasn't until lockdown I decided to install the cameras." With the three locations, My Haunted Project is focused on "changing the paranormal and evolving it to a new level based on real evidence, eye witness accounts and 24/7 surveillance". Speaking about his idea for 24-hour paranormal surveillance, he said: "It solidified my idea when I had normal hotel guests, before this project, leaving in the middle of the night and leaving letters and pictures with what they saw and experienced. "You can only tell someone what you've seen so much before they think you're a liar but now we've got the footage to back it up." Capturing shadow figures, poltergeist activity and disembodied voices, the hotel is also home to some of Britain's most haunted collections. The "Grace Doll" has her own room and is in a special glass case, but is said to be the UK's most haunted artefact. Harry added: "People have to sign a disclaimer in order to go in, she's had a lot of psychological effects. The room smells different, almost pungent and we've had people faint in there." Harry, alongside Brett and Danny, have documented their findings in Prime Video's My Haunted Hotel series. Season 1 features Ye Olde King's Head. More information on the series and how to visit the site can be found online here. My Haunted Hotel is now available to stream on Prime Video now

Meghan Markle Shares Never-Before-Seen Photos of Lilibet for Her 4th Birthday
Meghan Markle celebrated her and Prince Harry's daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday today by sharing four rare photos of their family. Meghan posted two tributes to Lili on Instagram. Her first included a picture of Lili now and one of her at birth. 'Happy birthday to our beautiful girl!' Meghan wrote. 'Four years ago today she came into our lives—and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!' Her second was focused on Harry's relationship with Lili. 'The sweetest bond to watch unfold 💕,' Meghan wrote. 'Daddy's little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!' Meghan also shared a new photo of Archie last month to fête his sixth birthday. 'Our son. Our sun,' she wrote. 'Happy 6th birthday to Archie! Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He's six! Where did the time go? (And for all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special ❤️)' Meghan has been sharing photos of Lili and Archie regularly on Instagram, although she usually posts shots that hide her children's faces to protect their privacy. Today's photos of Lili are special exceptions. The Duchess of Sussex has made a point to thoroughly document Lili and Archie's lives. She sends photos, voice recordings, and videos to secret emails she created for them, which she'll give them as gifts when they are teenagers. 'I thought it was such a great time capsule to create for them, because I still have scrapbooks and photo albums, but we're past that generation now,' she explained on The Jamie Kern Lima Show. When she someday gives them the accounts, she hopes Lili and Archie will 'be able to look back and go, 'Oh my gosh, she has loved us so much,'' Meghan said. 'And that's, I think, the best part about being a mom. And we go back to a love language or gifts. It's not about the grandeur of a gesture. It's about, 'I see you. I'm nurturing you, and I see you so deeply. And I love being able to see your growth.' And I'm just so proud of them.'
