Red Bull star Tsunoda in horror 150mph crash at Imola GP qualifying as car flips and smashes into cage metres from fans
YUKI TSUNODA has walked away from a terrifying crash at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix.
The Red Bull driver was going over 150mph when he smashed hard into the wall during Saturday's qualifying at Imola.

Tsunoda clipped the kerb at Turn 5 and rolled his Red Bull upside down onto the gravel.
After a violent spin, the car crashed hard into the wall just metres from the watching crowd.
The 25-year-old was seen walking away from the wreck under his own steam.
Tsunoda was immediately assessed in the medical van but appeared to avoid any significant injury.
The Q1 session was immediately red-flagged with 12:13 left on the clock.
F1 cars are fitted with the halo safety device, which helps protect a driver's head if the car flips.
Sky Sports analyst Anthony Davidson was relieved everything had "done it's job" to protect Tsunoda.
He said on commentary: "That is a huge off. Everything has done its job.
"The catch fencing, the run-off area, the Halo, the helmet itself. Wow."
Tsunoda replaced Liam Lawson as world champion Max Verstappen's team-mate just two drives into the season.

Lawson was heard on team radio after the incident gasping: "Oh my god! I just saw the video. Is he ok?"
Red Bull chiefs dumped the 23-year-old after failing to get to grips with the RB21 during the Australian and Chinese Grand Prixs.
Earlier this season, Tsunoda caused huge damage to his Red Bul l at the Saudi Grand Prix after a crash in practice.

BMW likes to put the latest and most advanced technology possible in each of its model updates, so the G60's now-obsolete rotary iDrive wheel and associated systems are beginning to feel a little 'last season,' so to speak. However, despite the fact that BMW's new Panoramic iDrive infotainment system was revealed six months ago, the 5er isn't getting its mid-cycle update, or Life Cycle Impulse, as early as planned. According to a reliable insider who provides updates on the Bimmerpost forum, the G60 LCI will arrive four months late. Comprehensive Changes To BMW's Product Plan According to the post, updates for June 2025 include moving the launch of the updated G60 from March 2027 to July. The same report claims that the next X5 (codenamed G65) will be in production until July 2035, which means it will need to satisfy the market for nine years, while the current F70 1 Series and F74 2 Series Gran Coupe will stick around two years longer than originally anticipated, until October 2032. Back to SUVs for a second, and the assumption is that the G66 X6 and G67 X7 will have similarly long production cycles. Finally, the same report says that the U.S.-spec Z4 M40i and both versions of Toyota Gazoo Racing's Supra will continue to be produced in Austria at the Magna Steyr facility for another two months, only ending production in May 2026. No reasons were given for these extended production cycles, but the ever-changing geopolitical environment may be a contributing factor. More Tech Will Dominate The 5 Series The new 5 Series will get the latest infotainment tech, says the forum post, adding that, along with Panoramic Vision, a passenger display will become an optional extra. On the outside, we expect the G60 facelift to wear a new face inspired by the Vision Neue Klasse and Vision Neue Klasse X concepts. The look has already become evident in spy shots of the next-gen M3, as well as the updated G90 M5 seen below, so it's inevitable that the 5er will make the switch too. Hopefully, BMW doesn't create a Russian Doll situation with its styling, but we'll have to wait a little longer to find out. With production only commencing in July 2027, we suspect the reveal will happen at the very end of 2026, if not early in January 2027. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is left in limbo as Everton offer new deal to two stars but talks with striker break down as his contract expires
Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks increasingly likely to leave the club after failing to agree on a new contract. The 28-year old is a free agent and is interested in a move to Italy though will consider all options. Everton revealed on Monday that they had offered new contracts to Seamus Coleman and Idrissa Gueye and were continuing 'to liaise with representatives' of both Cavert-Lewin and Michael Keane. But talks with the striker appear to have broken down. Speaking on the High Performance Podcast, Calvert-Lewin — who has been with Everton since 2016 — revealed his desire to play in a 'winning environment' to help his Champions League and England ambitions. 'I have to be careful with what I say because I am still contracted to Everton, I have a long history with Everton and a big respect for the club,' he said. 'The main thing for me is I want to win, I want to be in a winning environment. After the last three or four seasons it has been about survival. 'When I started my career I wanted to play in the Premier League, play for England a go to major tournaments with England and play in the Champions League. I have played in a major tournament for England, I have played in the Premier League, but I haven't played in the Champions League. There are still things I would like to achieve before my time is done. 'To have the opportunity to decide potentially where that place will be. If it gives me the best opportunity and environment to win and score goals, then that would be the return of me to the England team and playing in the Champions League. 'That has been my driver to play at the highest level possible. My representation of that is the Champions League, World Cups, Euros and getting into that bracket of elite players.'
