PTC Industries Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Aerolloy Technologies Limited (ATL), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Safran Aircraft Engines, a global leader in aerospace propulsion. This partnership aims to deepen cooperation in the manufacturing of critical components and materials for military aircraft engines.
ATL, known for its expertise in aerospace-grade castings and materials, will work closely with Safran to support India's growing defense and aerospace needs. The collaboration aligns with the Indian Government's 'Make in India' initiative, reinforcing efforts to strengthen the local manufacturing ecosystem for defense technologies.
This MoU builds on the existing relationship between ATL and Safran, particularly their successful collaboration on commercial LEAP engines used in civil aviation. With this new step, both companies aim to expand their cooperation into the military space, supporting the development of an indigenous aeroengine ecosystem.
Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries, stated: 'This Memorandum of Understanding between Aerolloy Technologies Limited and Safran Aircraft Engines marks a significant step towards enhancing India's indigenous capabilities in military aircraft engine manufacturing. It aligns with the 'Make in India' initiative, fostering collaboration and innovation in the aerospace sector while addressing the defence needs of the country. The ongoing partnership for commercial LEAP engines lays a strong foundation for this expanded cooperation.'
