Jessie J reveals breast cancer diagnosis after months spent ‘in and out of tests'

Jessie J has revealed that she was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer two months ago and after a period spent 'in and out of tests'. The 'Bang Bang' singer, whose real name is Jessica Cornish, shared a video on her Instagram with the news, saying she had been 'going back and forth' over the decision to talk about it publicly. 'I want to share it with my fans and the people that care about me, and also I'm a sharer. I've always shared everything that I go through in my life,' she begins her video by saying. 'Before 'No Secrets' came out I was diagnosed with early breast cancer. I'm highlighting the word early. Cancer sucks in any form but I'm holding on to the word early. I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.' The singer, who released 'No Secrets' in April, went on to explain her reasons for wanting to be open about her diagnosis, saying it was part of her process to accept it. 'Because selfishly I do not talk about it enough. I'm not processing it because I'm working so hard. I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support and also their own stories.' She said she would be undergoing surgery after she performs at the Summertime Ball 2025, scheduled to take place in London on 15 June. 'It's a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery and I will come back with massive tits and more music,' she said. Jessie has been open about her health in the past, writing on social media last year that she had been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) after motherhood 'exposed' the conditions. 'I know there are so many people that are going through this same thing and I'm honestly just reaching out to hold your hand and because I need mine held too,' she wrote at the time. Jessie said then that her diagnoses had 'made [her] love [her]self even more', adding that she felt like hugging her 11-year-old self 'who would clean her trainers with a toothbrush' and rely on making lists 'to not feel like life will crumble'. The musician welcomed her first child, who she shares with her basketball player partner Chanan Safir Colman, in June 2023. The pregnancy came two years after the Grammy nominee had a miscarriage, an episode she also spoke about at length on Instagram.

Jamie Oliver reveals recent diagnoses in his "neurodiverse family" as he embarks on a mission to get better support

Jamie Oliver has been incredibly open about how his dyslexia has affected him throughout his life, especially during his education, and has consistently advocated for better support for neurodivergent children. It seems, however, that the celebrity chef isn't the only member of his family to grow up with a learning difference, as he revealed that some of his children are in the same situation. In a brand new interview with The Sunday Times, the 50-year-old shared that there have been various diagnoses of dyslexia, ADHD and ASD (also known as autism spectrum disorder) in his "very neurodiverse family" over the last year. Though he did not go into any more detail than this, he said that he and his wife Jools have in fact "learned to understand that their [children's] behaviour is because they're seeing things differently," and that "being aware of that allows you to be a better parent". Jamie also called his family life "amazing but bonkers", joking: "Imagine four neurodiverse people at the dinner table trying to get their point across." He further rebuked the attitudes taken towards neurodivergence by older generations, saying: "Older people tend to have the 'we didn't have that when we were young' attitude. We just didn't know as much about our brains 30 years ago." The celebrity chef has been working on an hour-long documentary for Channel 4 called Jamie's Dyslexia Revolution, which will explore the challenges facing dyslexic children and interrogate what the British government can change to support them within education. Jamie also opened up about the emotional toll that making the documentary took on him, telling the publication: "I'm unpacking quite a lot of stuff. I thought I'd buried it but it's hitting a nerve. Genuinely, of all the things I've ever done, this documentary is the most viscerally painful. "I've seen so many high-flying, talented, grown men cry about this – I've just done it to you [referring to his crying during the interview] – the concept of being worthless [when you're] young is real. It's really triggering." Though the father-of-five has been vocal and open about his struggle with the learning difficulty, especially during his school days, for a long time, he only received his official diagnosis in January of this year.

Former Diddy Personal Assistant Says Rap Mogul Sexually and Physically Assaulted Her: ‘It Was Toxic'

A former personal assistant to Sean 'Diddy' Combs, identified only by the pseudonym Mia, testified on Thursday that the rap mogul physically and sexually assaulted her and that his treatment of her depended on his mood, but that he was frequently 'toxic' and 'chaotic,' the Associated Press reported. The court has allowed a number of witnesses in the case to testify under pseudonyms to ensure their privacy and safety. 'It was chaotic. It was toxic,' Mia, who-founded Revolt Films studio with Combs, said. 'It could be exciting. The highs were really high and the lows were really low.' Combs sold his stake in the company in March 2024. She tearfully recalled being sexually and physically assaulted by Combs, including incidents where he threw her into a swimming pool, dumped a bucket of ice on her head and slammed her arm into a door. She also stated that he forced her to perform oral sex on him and would come into her bedroom expecting intercourse. The rapper let her stay at his guest houses across the country, but told her she was not allowed to leave without his permission and could not even lock the doors. Mia said she worked with Combs from 2009 to 2017 and, as previous witnesses have done, referred to him as 'Puff,' his stage name at the time. She also testified that she was not allowed to rest for as much as five days at a time and started relying on her ADHD medication, the stimulant Adderall, as a sleep substitute. She described the atmosphere around Combs as tense because his mood could 'change in a split second' from 'happy to chaotic.' She also described a 2013 incident where she jumped on his back to stop a brutal assault on his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura and her stylist, Deonte Nash. Cassie's account of the abuse she endured from Combs has been corroborated from numerous witnesses, including Nash, who also testified to the alleged 2013 assault. According to the AP, Mia did not appear to make eye contact with Combs throughout her testimony. Combs has insisted that all of his sexual encounters were consensual, although he did admit to assaulting Cassie in an incident caught on a hotel camera. That headline-making attack, however, is not part of this case.
