Apollo Green Energy plans entry into green hydrogen, BESS; eyes 1 GW EPC order book by 2026

Limited is targeting a 1 GW EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) order book by 2026 and expanding into new segments such as
green hydrogen
,
battery energy storage systems
(BESS), and electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure as part of its long-term growth strategy. The company is currently executing over 400 MW of solar projects across multiple states and has a growing order pipeline of over ₹3,000 crore.
A part of the Apollo International Group, Apollo Green Energy reported a consolidated revenue of ₹72,616 lakh for the financial year 2024–25. Its profit after tax stood at ₹4,436 lakh. The company declared a 15 per cent dividend for its shareholders for the year ending March 31, 2025.
The firm is also advancing its Independent Power Producer (IPP) plans. It has established a 100 per cent subsidiary under the IPP model and secured its first two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) of 4 MW each under Component A of the PM-KUSUM Scheme with Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL).
'This has been a productive year of execution and expansion. We have ongoing EPC projects with NHPC across Odisha, Kerala, and Gujarat totalling 290 MW (AC), along with the successful delivery of a ₹700 crore FGD project in Anuppur,' said Raaja Kanwar, Chairman and Managing Director, Apollo Green Energy.
He added, 'Our solar streetlight project in Bihar, with over 1,40,000 installations, is set to significantly enhance energy access and public lighting. We are now focusing on scaling our EPC pipeline and expanding our presence in emerging areas like IPP and energy storage.'
The company stated that it operates in eight states and follows an asset-light, technology-enabled business model. It is actively engaging with global partners for joint development of green hydrogen and long-duration storage projects.
'As we move forward, our goal is to grow responsibly, support climate objectives, and deliver reliable, cost-effective clean energy solutions across the country,' Kanwar said.

'Over the past eleven years, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, India's agricultural sector has undergone a profound transformation, rooted in the philosophy of Beej Se Bazaar Tak (seed to market),' the statement said, quoted PTI. Budgetary support for the Department of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare has risen nearly five times — from Rs 27,663 crore in 2013-14 to Rs 1,37,664.35 crore in 2024-25. Foodgrain output also recorded an increase from 265.05 million tonnes in 2014-15 to an estimated 347.44 million tonnes in 2024-25. The government said it has sharply increased minimum support prices (MSP) for key crops. Wheat MSP rose from Rs 1,400 per quintal in 2013-14 to Rs 2,425 per quintal in 2024-25, while the paddy MSP increased from Rs 1,310 to Rs 2,369 per quintal between 2013-14 and 2025-26. Since its launch in 2019, the PM-KISAN scheme has disbursed Rs 3.7 lakh crore to over 110 million farmers. Separately, about Rs 10 lakh crore in credit has been sanctioned to 7.71 crore farmers under the Kisan Credit Card initiative. Crop procurement volumes have seen a sharp uptick. Kharif procurement between FY15 and FY25 totalled 787.1 million tonnes, compared with 467.9 million tonnes in the previous decade. MSP procurement of pulses jumped from 1.52 lakh tonnes (2009–2014) to 8.3 million tonnes (2020–2025), while oilseeds procurement has grown multifold over the same period. The Centre highlighted additional measures such as investments in modern irrigation, digital agri-marketplaces, tech-led solutions, and credit support. Allied sectors like dairy and fisheries have also expanded during the period. Policy minds reshaped: Mahendra Dev takes over as EAC-PM chief; SBI's Soumya Kanti Ghosh joins as part-time member
Eminent economist S Mahendra Dev has taken charge as Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM), marking the end of a leadership vacuum at the top of the advisory body since last November. Dev, former Vice Chancellor of the Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research, succeeds Niti Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Bery, who had been holding additional charge of EAC-PM following the death of Bibek Debroy, the council's first full-time chairman. The Cabinet Secretariat had earlier announced that the prime minister approved the reconstitution of the EAC-PM for a period of two years or until further orders, whichever is earlier. While full-time members Sanjeev Sanyal, Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Shamika Ravi have been retained, the reconstituted council includes several new part-time members. These include Soumya Kanti Ghosh, group chief economic advisor at State Bank of India.
