Kelly Clarkson left stunned by son's innocent question about her divorce
was left stunned by her son Remington's innocent question in regards to her divorce from Brandon Blackstock three years earlier.
The Because Of You songstress, 42 - who has fans convinced that she will finally explain the mysterious absence from her talk show - was joined by guest Olivia Munn in last week's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show.
The Grammy winner shares daughter River, 10, and Remington, eight, with Blackstock - whom she was married to from 2013 until their divorce was finalized in 2022.
At one point, the topic of dealing with divorce with children was discussed, and Kelly explained that while her eldest remembers the split, her youngest one doesn't.
'One of mine does remember and then one of them...,' she said before briefly pausing to let out a little laugh.
'One of them was like, "Do you know my dad?"' Clarkson shared which prompted Munn and the audience to burst out into laughter.
The star humorously recalled telling her son in response, 'I was like, "Well, we've run into each other at least twice." He didn't get the joke, obviously.
'So he was like, "Twice okay. So you've seen each other,"' she added, while Olivia jokingly said, 'It's nice to know you guys know each other.'
Kelly then expressed, 'Because one was really young, but like and the other one does - and it's hard.'
While appearing on 103.5 KOST with host Ellen K late last year, Clarkson revealed that her children prefer her to stay single.
'I mean, I've explained to [my daughter, River Rose] that "when Mommy's ready, it's okay. I'm allowed to do that,"' the singer said in regards to stepping back into dating.
'My kids, both of them, are not - they constantly bring it up, "Please, we don't want you to be with anybody else." They're young, so it's hard to picture their mom with someone else other than their dad.'
However, Clarkson explained that she had told River and Remington, 'Hey, I love you guys, but Mommy needs loving, too.'
When it comes to the possibility of finding love once again in the future, the star said, 'the hope of that is really beautiful and wonderful and magical.'
And back in 2023, Kelly previously got candid about how her two kids were navigating their parents' divorce.
'I literally ask my kids every night when we're snuggling up in the bed, "Are you happy? And if you're not, what could make you happier?" That's it," Clarkson explained on the Angie Martinez IRL podcast.
'Especially the past two years...it kills me [but] I want them to be honest so I don't ever say, "Oh God, don't tell me that."
'But a lot of times it would be like, "I'm just really sad. I wish Mommy and Daddy were in the same house." They're really honest about it. I'm raising that kind of individual,' Kelly said.
The Breakaway hitmaker added, 'I just sit there and I'm like, "I get it. I'm from a divorced family as well. I get it. That sucks. But we're going to work it out. And you are so loved by both of us."'
She explained, 'I think [it's important to be] communicating with them and...not treating them like an adult, because they're not, but not treating them like a child. They're not small feelings. Those are huge feelings, and those are huge emotions.'
Clarkson notably sued Blackstock after their divorce and accused him of making unauthorized business deals on her behalf. The former couple settled the lawsuit over commissions in May 2024.
Last month, the singer seemingly made a cryptic jab at her ex while on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast.
At one point during the conversation, Kelly said 'there's a lot that I keep in... 'cause co-parenting is fun!'
The pair also had a discussion about their children being more understanding when it comes to the father working but holding different feelings when the mother goes to work.
Also in March, Clarkson returned to her award-winning daytime talk show following a mysterious 10-day absence due to a 'private matter.'
She also fueled worry with a cryptic comment she made as she returned to the series.
The Behind These Hazel Eyes singer got candid after she made her return, and in celebration her 1,000th milestone episode, she admitted she's 'lost, alone, a lot.'
While Kelly did not give an explanation from her absence on the show, she told the live audience during the special episode that she has experienced 'a lot of ups and downs.'
However, last week on Friday, the star teased new music by sharing a photo of herself in a glamorous cover.
At the bottom appeared to be the title of a new single called Where Have You Been? In the caption, she simply penned: 'Soon...,' rather than unveiling an official release date.
Kelly's last studio album Chemistry dropped in 2023 - and debuted at the number six spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Lorde dares to bare as she strips off for Vogue Australia - after shocking fans with X-rated album cover
Lorde has continued her X-rated era with a racy shoot for Vogue Australia. The New Zealander, 28, stripped off for the fashion magazine's July issue, posing in underwear and a revealing frock. On the cover, the pop singer fronts the camera in a black, lacy bra paired with worn-looking loose trousers. Inside the magazine, Lorde wears a dramatic, plunging gown that flaunts her chest and slender figure. In her interview with Vogue Australia, Lorde says she chose What Was That to be the first single from her new album, Virgin, as she felt she had regained her voice through the uptempo track. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. In her interview, Lorde says she chose What Was That to be the first single from her new album, Virgin, as she felt she had regained her voice through the uptempo track Lorde also ruminated on what success means to her these days, and says it has changed. 'Success then was the cover of Rolling Stone, winning a Grammy, my friends thinking my EP was cool, my heroes shouting me out' she said. 'Success now is having the big moments feel like play and being fully aligned inside, not just having it look right on the outside.' It comes after the hitmaker sent fans into a frenzy with a surprise performance at Glastonbury on Friday, which saw her whip her top off in the sweltering heat. Thousands of fans flocked to the Woodsies stage after rumours of a set from the Royals hitmaker spread around Worthy Farm. Such was the excitement that bosses announced the stage had temporarily closed due to overcrowding shortly before her set began. The singer - who previously graced The Pyramid stage in 2022 - performed all of her biggest hits from Ribs to Green Light, as well as a rendition of her new album. The show came on the same day as she dropped supporters' jaws after unveiling the cover of her new vinyl - which featured a very racy photograph. The singer had already raised eyebrows with the project's main artwork, which features an x-ray of her pelvis - inter-uterine device included. However, the vinyl for Virgin - Lorde's fourth studio album and first since 2021's Solar Power - is even more explicit and features what appears to be her genitals beneath a pair of see-through plastic pants. Taking to social media to express their shock, some fans worried about their family members potentially seeing the NSFW cover. They shared on X/ Twitter: 'So the new Lorde vinyl just got delivered. I was not prepared for the insert'. Another said, 'Lorde really got her cat out like that on her vinyl huh?' one more wrote: 'My Lorde vinyl is getting delivered to my parent's house I'm scared [sic].' Others added: 'when you open your Virgin vinyl and see lordussy' and 'should've stayed curious about the Lorde vinyl'. However, not everyone was so critical of the vinyl's artwork and others described it as 'beautiful' and far from being shocking. 'A lot of you are being very weird about the Lorde vinyl cover… who tf cares if her lordeussy was out. It's just a body' someone wrote. 'Wait... Is this the new album art from Lorde that everyone is talking about? It's a beautiful photo, and the entire vinyl package is, too, but come on, it barely shows anything. No need for all the discourse. 90's Madonna would kill you all [sic].' Others said that the reaction to the vinyl was so extreme that they expected it to be a lot more explicit than it actually is. 'I really thought the Lorde vinyl insert would be a lot worse than people are saying it is, you guys are kinda dramatic' one said. Lorde is one of the highest-selling New Zealand singers of all time and her 2013 song Royals reached number one in America, eventually being certified 14 times platinum.

Lizzo puts Ozempic results on full display in tiny swimsuit after coming clean about weight loss aid
Lizzo proudly displayed her reduced frame on Friday - a week after she finally admitted to briefly using Ozempic to aid in her dramatic weight loss. Firing up her Instagram page, the 37-year-old singer posted an album of herself in a high cut one-piece swimsuit that left little to the imagination. She allowed her more than 11 million followers to catch a glimpse of the look from various angles, twirling this way and that for the camera. Her new album also featured a video that showed her posing in the swimsuit while a gentleman sprayed her with what appeared to be sunscreen. That night, the Juice hitmaker stepped out to dinner in a slinky, skintight cocktail dress that also highlighted her slimmed-down figure. The Detroit-born pop act was headed out to the upscale West Hollywood eatery Craig's, which has established itself as a local favorite among celebrities. She opted for a notably sheer dress that was cut off at mid-thigh, teamed with matching heels and a dazzling necklace. The Truth Hurts singer dropped her Ozempic bombshell last week during an episode of Trisha Paytas' Just Trish podcast. The Grammy winner explained that she started to take the drug at the beginning of her weight loss journey in 2023, but soon came to the conclusion that GLP-1 medication wouldn't help her in the long term. 'I tried everything. Ozempic works because you eat less food, yeah? So if you eat right, it makes you feel full.' Lizzo then added, 'But if you can just do that on your own and get mind over matter, it's the same thing.' When it came to the star achieving her weight loss goal, the performer explained that her change in diet was the major factor. Lizzo had been following a plant-based diet for many years - including only consuming vegan foods from 2020 through 2023. 'What did it for me is, it was not being vegan,' she told Trisha. 'Because when I was vegan, I was consuming a lot of fake meats. 'I was eating a lot of bread, I was eating a lot of rice and I had to eat a lot of it to stay full. But really I was consuming 3,000-5,000 calories a day.' The songstress also talked about how some food products - even if they are small in size - can be packed with 'fake sugar' that can leave you still feeling hungry. 'So for me, when I started actually eating whole foods and eating like beef, and chicken, and fish. Like, I was actually full and not expanding my stomach by putting a lot of fake things in there that wasn't actually filling me up.' While the star made the choice to stop taking Ozempic early on, she stated that she didn't see it as 'cheating' for those that have taken the medication to help with losing weight. 'It's not easy. It's a drug to help somebody with something they're struggling with,' the performer expressed. 'I think their way of being fat phobic when you're telling someone they're cheating.' It was previously revealed back in January that Lizzo lost 16% of her body fat and reduced her body mass by 10.5. When it comes to how she feels now after dropping the weight, Lizzo explained, 'I feel like I worked really really hard and it was intentional with what I did with my body. 'So when I get compliments, I go, "Thanks b***h." Like I really receive it because I need to receive that. I don't take it any weird way because I tried to do this.' Last year, the singer had shut down allegations that she was taking Ozempic in order to achieve her slimmer figure. At the time, she shared a short Instagram reel as she posed wearing a colorful, satin robe while her hair was pulled back into a low up do. The star added text towards the bottom which read, 'When you finally get ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit.' Lizzo then shared a screenshot of a comment from a social media user where they accused her of taking ozempic or 'coke.' The songstress had also been promoting pieces from her Yitty brand in a clip and wrote, 'What's is it… THE BRAIDS?! Cotton Bodysuit by @yitty.' The troll had typed in the comment section, 'did she use ozempic or did she snort coke.' In response, the Grammy winner wrote, 'whyyyy do u follow me?' followed by four crying face emojis. Lizzo then shared a screenshot of the Instagram user's account which had been set to private. Earlier this year in January, the singer proudly announced that she had achieved her weight loss goal. On Instagram at the time, she shared: 'I did it. Today when I stepped on my scale, I reached my weight release goal. 'I haven't seen this number since 2014! Let this be a reminder you can do anything you put your mind to. Time for new goals!' And in April during an episode of the On Purpose With Jay Shetty podcast, Lizzo explained how she uses the term 'weight release' instead of weight loss. She credited her boyfriend Myke Wright and explained, 'My man, he's so funny. He was the one that brought it to my attention at first. Because at first I was like, "Oh my gosh I lost five pounds" and he was like, "Where did it go?" 'I was mad at him, I was like, "Why would he say that?" but he was like, "Where did it go?"' The Good As Hell hitmaker further explained that she did not want to 'lose anything' but instead wanted to 'win.' Lizzo expressed, 'I want to be very intentional about the words that come out of my mouth because there's young people who are watching me and they're experiencing what I'm putting into the world. 'They're applying it to their own experience and their own life just like I did when I was a kid.' The star then got candid about 'how the media treated people who gained and lost weight' had an effect on her 'brain chemistry. 'Be careful with your words because it can affect somebody in ways you don't even know.' The performer added, 'Even me releasing the weight has affected people and I take that seriously. I take that responsibility. And because of that I want to transmute it into something that makes people feel comfortable and less afraid of it.' During a recent appearance on The Jason Lee Show, Lizzo explained why she hasn't revealed exactly how much weight she has lost. 'If I say the number, I don't think people could do the math. I've just seen a lot of TikToks where it's like, "Lizzo talks about her 500lbs weight loss!" Why are y'all putting numbers on me? It kind of annoys me.' Also on Thursday, the star further showed off her weight loss while making an appearance at the Dodgers game in L.A. The singer sported a pair of fitted white capri pants as well as a cropped shirt that had 'Juneteenth' embroidered on the front. She slipped into a pair of white pumps and allowed her platinum blonde locks to flow down straight past her shoulders. Lizzo opted to add minimal accessories to the look and also sported a pair of silver shades. The Good As Hell hitmaker was seen strolling onto the baseball field to throw the ceremonial first pitch before the Dodgers took on the San Diego Padres. Before testing out her skills by throwing a pitch, the singer was spotted standing on one side of the baseball field at Dodger Stadium Lizzo also had the chance to take part in the Celebrity Softball Game at the venue to celebrate Black Heritage Night.

Jeremy Clarkson says he's 'done' after struggling with new 'venture'
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Jeremy Clarkson declared he's had enough of his pub venture, announcing he's "done" with engaging in future business pursuits after finding difficulty managing the enterprise behind such endeavours. The Grand Tour presenter embarked on this fresh commercial challenge in July 2024 when he took over an Asthall pub. His decision came on the heels of previous success with Diddly Squat farm and its associated farm shop. Clarkson has documented his foray into the pub scene through the newest season of 'Clarkson's Farm', yet he insists there will be no repeat performances. The pub, titled The Farmer's Dog, has become a nationally reputed attraction, spurring considerable online engagement and reviews. Speaking to The Times, Jeremy expressed his resignation from entrepreneurial life: "I'm done with business now. I am not starting another business as long as I live. I don't understand it and am not motivated by money. I just want a good craic." Clarkson has used his show to share insights into his experiences as a novice pub landlord, including the humorous reason behind naming the establishment The Farmer's Dog. Viewers of the fourth episode witness him navigating paperwork related to the pub acquisition, where he uncovers that Oxfordshire is popular among those who indulge in sexual escapades in public areas, reports the Mirror. Jeremy Clarkson was bemused to discover that the garden area of his recently acquired pub is officially marked as a "a picnic site" by the local council. After delving into this curious detail, Clarkson rang his lawyer who informed him that the spot had previously been linked with some "unwanted and anti-social behaviour" which "might put you off eating your picnic". The lawyer revealed: "We have happened upon some quite interesting photographs which capture certain graffiti and certain goings-on." Upon visiting the site, Clarkson confirmed his suspicions, noting discarded underwear in trees. He humorously addressed the dogging rumours on Instagram, posting a photo outside the pub with undergarments dangling from a stick, captioned: "Tell me you bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub on a dogging site." In other news, the presenter of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? had a grave health scare that landed him in hospital after he woke up one morning feeling unusually "clammy" with a tight chest and strange feelings in his arm. Investigation revealed one artery was completely blocked, and another was nearly so, leading to surgery. Post-scare, Clarkson has had to adopt what he terms "horrific" lifestyle modifications such as exercising, limiting his alcohol intake, and diet changes, leaving him to jest that he's "not allowed to have fun anymore".
