Alleged victim of Antonio Brown shooting breaks silence and reveals years-long feud

Zül-Qarnain Nantambu claims Antonio Brown attacked him over a long-standing dispute (Image via AP) Former NFL star Antonio Brown is once again at the center of a legal storm—this time, involving an alleged shooting that has prompted Florida authorities to issue a warrant for his arrest on attempted murder charges. The controversy deepened after the alleged victim, Zül-Qarnain Nantambu, came forward with shocking allegations that trace the conflict back years. A celebrity boxing event turns violent as old feud reignites The incident occurred in mid-May during a celebrity boxing match hosted by social media personality Adin Ross under his Brand Risk Promotions banner. According to multiple reports, what started as a confrontation quickly spiraled into a violent brawl—and then, gunfire. Zül-Qarnain Nantambu, who spoke publicly for the first time in an interview with TMZ Live, claims the run-in with Brown wasn't random. 'That's when the attack happened,' Nantambu stated, referring to their encounter at the event. He alleged that after confronting Brown about a years-old dispute over stolen jewelry, Brown became physically aggressive. A long-standing personal dispute may have triggered the attack Nantambu says their history goes back to an encounter in Dubai during a Floyd Mayweather fight. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Cervecería Nacional CFD: Calcula cuánto podrías ganar invirtiendo solo $100 Empieza a invertir Inscríbete ahora Undo There, he alleges Brown stole jewelry from him, leading to a legal battle. 'A judge ruled in my favor,' Nantambu claimed, although he did not provide court documents to verify this. Fast forward to May 16, when the two men reportedly crossed paths again. What followed, according to Nantambu, was an all-out assault. He claims Brown landed the first punch, after which several members of Brown's entourage joined in. Gunfire, injuries, and a fugitive NFL icon Witnesses and law enforcement accounts support much of Nantambu's story. Reports state that in the chaos, Brown allegedly grabbed a security officer's gun and fired at Nantambu. One bullet reportedly grazed Nantambu's neck, and he later required stitches for a gash near his eyelid. Despite the seriousness of the charges, Brown appears unfazed. He recently posted an Instagram photo of himself smiling and riding a bicycle—just hours after news broke of the arrest warrant. The gesture struck many as a deliberate taunt. 100 Killed By Gunmen In Nigeria, Several Missing, Says Amnesty International

New Delhi: At least 100 people have lost their lives in a brutal attack by gunmen on the village of Yelewata in Nigeria's central Benue state, according to Amnesty International Nigeria. The attack, which occurred on Friday night and spilled into Saturday morning, has left many more missing, dozens injured, and families traumatized. "The horrifying killing of over 100 people by gunmen that invaded Yelewata; from late Friday into the early hours of Saturday 14 June 2025, shows the security measures government claims to be implementing in the state are not working," the post said. "Many people are still injured and left without adequate medical care. Many families were locked up and burnt inside their bedrooms," the post added. The Nigerian authorities must immediately end the almost daily bloodshed in Benue state and bring the actual perpetrators to justice. The region, situated in Nigeria's Middle Belt, has witnessed numerous clashes between predominantly Muslim herders and largely Christian farmers. The attack on Yelewata village is one of many incidents in the region, with key statistics highlighting the severity of the crisis: over 500 lives lost since 2019, around 2.2 million people displaced, and recent attacks claiming at least 42 lives in the Gwer West district. Amnesty International reports that between May 2023 and May 2025, at least 10,217 people were killed in attacks by gunmen across several states, with Benue accounting for the highest death toll of 6,896.
