Who is the Rams' most exciting UDFA addition?
The Los Angeles Rams signed a bevy of undrafted free agents following the 2025 NFL Draft to round out their roster heading into summer workouts. These are players who, for whatever reason, weren't considered draftable prospects by any of the franchises.
However, that doesn't mean they aren't exciting players. The Rams have had a lot of success in recent years with undrafted players, too, which players like starting left tackle Alaric Jackson and starting inside linebacker Omar Speights.
One of the Rams' newest additions could hit, and Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski predicts linebacker Shaun Dolac is L.A.'s "most exciting" UDFA heading into the summer.
"The Los Angeles Rams failed to draft a linebacker until choosing Ole Miss' Pooh Paul Jr. in this year's fifth round," Sobleski wrote. "Considering the state of the position, the undrafted Shaun Dolac may have as much of a chance to make their roster and possibly contribute as Paul does.
"'Tackling machine can be an overused phrase when it comes to describing linebackers. When discussing Dolac, it's appropriate. The Buffalo product finished first or second in total tackles during the 2022 and 2024 campaigns. Between the two seasons, he amassed 315 tackles, 33 tackles for loss, 12 defended passes and five interceptions. He then suffered a season-ending shoulder injury in 2023.
"Clearly, instincts and production are not a problem. The reigning MAC Defensive Player of the Year and consensus All-American is undersized at 6'0" and 221 pounds. However, he has the athletic traits to remain productive as part of the Rams roster."
Dolac has the experience, production and skillset to earn a role on Chris Shula's defense. He may not be an immediate impact starter, but he should compete with the other backups like Paul, Tony Fields II and Elias Neal. Troy Reeder is pretty injury-prone, too, so there could be ample opportunities to see snaps if Dolac makes a good impression during training camp.

Chism had seven receptions on seven targets at Monday's open OTAs practice. There are many similarities in his style of play to former Patriots greats, like Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola. He's scrappy in the slot with quick feet and a knack for peeling away from defenders, getting open and catching the ball. His ability to separate consistently stands out immediately in an offense that lacked true separators last season. Looking back, PFF thinks Rams should have taken different QB in 2016 NFL Draft One of the biggest moves of the Los Angeles Rams' franchise came in 2016 when the team traded up to the No. 1 overall pick. At the time, it was expected that either Cal's Jared Goff or North Dakota State's Carson Wentz would be taken first. The Rams took Goff, who had a solid career with the team before being used as a trade chip to acquire Matthew Stafford five years later. It's easy to look back at previous NFL drafts and make new picks based on future information. And Pro Football Focus' Dalton Wasserman re-drafted the No. 1 overall picks from the past 19 drafts. For 2016, he picked Dak Prescott over Goff. "The Rams traded a king's ransom for the opportunity to select Jared Goff with the first pick in 2016, but had they known what Dak Prescott would become, they may have opted for him as their franchise quarterback instead," Wasserman wrote. "Prescott's 87.8 career PFF passing grade outpaces Goff's 82.5 mark. He has also provided significantly more value on the ground than Goff, accruing an 80.9 PFF rushing grade so far in his career." This analysis is all well and good, but while Goff isn't the Rams quarterback anymore, he played a huge role in the acquisition of the quarterback who delivered a Super Bowl — Stafford. Would Prescott have been able to win where Goff could not? Maybe. Or would the team have been able to trade Prescott for Stafford, given Prescott's skillset? We'll never know, but the Rams' path led to a Super Bowl win in the end. The issue now, is, how long will Stafford remain?

NFL analyst thinks this scenario would be a 'nightmare season' for the Rams What would be the worst-case scenario for the Los Angeles Rams' 2025 NFL season? An early playoff exit? No playoffs? A mid-season retirement for Matthew Stafford? It's impossible to know this early in the summer, but Bleacher Report's Brad Gagnon went through the "nightmare season" scenarios for each NFL team. For the Rams, though, the situation didn't see that dire. "As with last year, the veteran core performs just well enough to delay a needed rebuild for a team that is not Super Bowl-caliber," he wrote." Basically, the Rams don't do enough to make the Super Bowl but aren't bad enough to tear everything down in 2026. This is effectively what Les Snead and Sean McVay are trying to avoid in 2025 after keeping Stafford and adding Davante Adams to offense. Fortunately for L.A., Snead prepared for the potential of another mid-round playoff loss by acquiring a second first-round pick in 2026. So even if the Rams aren't awful enough for a high pick and even if Stafford leaves, L.A. has the firepower to make a major move with their draft capital to keep the team afloat. It helps, too, that they have a nice young corps on offense and defense as a stable base for any rookie quarterback or veteran.
