It's a big week for the West with all eyes on Stonehenge for the summer solstice.But there's plenty of other things to look forward to if early sunrises aren't your bag!
The longest day
Thousands of people are set to mark the summer solstice, which signifies the end of spring, and for many is a spiritual celebration at dawn.Each year, people journey to Stonehenge in Wiltshire to witness the first rays of sunlight piercing through the ancient stone archways.The design of the monument, built about 2500 BC, means that on summer solstice the sun rises behind its 'heel stone' and its first rays shine into the heart of Stonehenge.Solstice sunrise on Saturday is 04:51 BST.We'll have a live page on the BBC News website covering events at Stonehenge in the early hours of Saturday.All you need to know about the Solstice at StonehengeThere are, of course, other places around the West you can watch and enjoy the sunrise.
