Army top brass vows 'full force' against terrorism
The military on Friday reiterated Pakistan's "unwavering commitment to bringing the full force of the state" against facilitators and abettors acting at the behest of hostile elements to destabilise the country, emphasising a swift and effective implementation of Vision Azm-e-Istehkam.
The Corps Commanders' Conference (CCC), a top-level forum of the military, underscored the imperative of a whole-of-the nation approach in the fight against terrorism, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated in a statement.
Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir chaired the 268th CCC at the General Headquarters (GHQ). The forum received a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing geo-strategic environment, emerging national security challenges, and Pakistan's strategic response to evolving threats, the ISPR said.
The ISPR, the media wing of the military, stated that after undertaking a meticulous assessment of the regional and the internal security dynamics, the forum reaffirmed its resolve to eradicate terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, regardless of the cost.
The statement added that the forum reiterated Pakistan's unwavering commitment to bringing the full force of the state against facilitators and abettors acting at the behest of hostile elements, seeking to destabilise the country.
"The forum reaffirmed that no one will be allowed to disrupt peace in Balochistan and nefarious designs of foreign-sponsored proxies including social disruptive elements and their so-called political supporters advancing their narrow political interests at the cost of stability and prosperity of Balochistan will be decisively thwarted with the unwavering support of the people of Balochistan, InshaAllah," it said.
"The real face of all foreign and domestic elements, the nexus between them and their endeavours to induce chaos and thrive on it stand fully exposed and will be dealt without impunity. Emphasizing the swift and effective implementation of Vision Azm-e-Istehkam under the ambit of National Action Plan (NAP), the forum underscored the imperative of a whole-of-the nation approach."
The ISPR said that the forum underscored that the state apparatus and institutions would resolutely implement the law within the confines of the Constitution and no leniency and infirmity would be shown.
On the occasion, Gen Asim lauded the initiation of District Coordination Committees across Pakistan and stressed the necessity of sustained, coordinated efforts in alignment with governmental directives to expedite the implementation of NAP, ensuring seamless inter-institutional collaboration.
"Pakistan Army will extend full support to the government and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in enforcing stringent legal measures against illicit economic activities, which are intrinsically linked to the financing of terrorism. There is no space for terrorists and their facilitators in Pakistan," he told the CCC.
The forum expressed deep concern over the persistent and egregious human rights violations in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the Indian army's unprovoked ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC).
The forum underscored "Pakistan's deep and unwavering support to the just cause of the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the need of sustained diplomatic engagement to highlight ongoing human rights abuses and violations on the global stage."
The forum expressed complete solidarity with the people of Palestine and condemned serious human rights violations and war crimes being perpetrated in Gaza. The forum also reiterated unequivocal diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of Palestine.
Earlier, the forum offered Fatiha and paid profound tribute to the supreme sacrifices of the Shuhada of the armed forces, law-enforcement agencies and the citizens, who laid down their lives for peace and stability in the country.
The chief of army staff directed the field commanders to uphold the highest standards of operational readiness and professional excellence, ensuring rigorous training to maintain peak combat preparedness, the ISPR stated.

COAS celebrates Eid with troops at LoC, reaffirms unwavering support for Kashmir cause
Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), visited forward positions along the Line of Control (LoC) on Saturday to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha with frontline troops, the military's media wing said. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the visit began with Eid prayers, where special prayers were offered for the country's peace, stability, and prosperity, as well as for the martyrs who laid down their lives in defence of the motherland. Extending Eid greetings to officers and soldiers, the COAS lauded their unwavering commitment, professional excellence, and dedication despite persistent challenges. He stated that celebrating Eid at the frontlines, away from families, reflects the higher national purpose of safeguarding the country. The Army Chief praised the formation's performance during Marqa-e-Haq and Operation Bunyaanum Marsoos, paying tribute to the martyrs and Ghazis. 'You have befittingly avenged the loss of innocent Pakistani lives, including children, women, and the elderly, through your bold and effective response,' he said. While interacting with the troops, COAS Munir appreciated their high morale, operational preparedness, and vigilance in countering ceasefire violations by Indian forces. He reiterated full confidence in the armed forces' ability to deter and defeat any aggression. Reaffirming Pakistan's principled position on the Kashmir dispute, the COAS said the just and valiant struggle of the Kashmiri people against Indian occupation would not be forgotten.
