Las Vegas couple killed after apparent online streamer clash

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Sunday's murder of a husband and wife stems from an online beef between two YouTube streamers arguing over, among other things, copyright infringement, the 8 News Now Investigators' review of hours worth of archived video reveals. Finny Da Legend, one of two of the shooting victims, and fellow streamer Sin City Manny, had argued for several months, the video appears to show. The two trolled each other, disagreed, and had lengthy conversations over the course of hours on a myriad of streams and sometimes different social media handles. Sin City Manny, whose real name is Manuel Ruiz, 41, will appear in Las Vegas Justice Court Tuesday morning. He faces two charges of open murder. By Monday morning, Ruiz's streams seem to have been scrubbed from the Internet. But Finny Da Legend's stream included some of Ruiz's stream, where Finny and a cast of online guests criticize his prowess of Las Vegas. 'He's the least informed Vegas person out there,' one of Finny's co-streamers said in an online broadcast that lasted over five hours. Someone with the screen name Kevin, another streamer on Finny's channel, in the same post, directly addressed the feud over copyright. That portion of the stream, from just five days ago. 'If anyone should be striked down, it should be Manny,' Kevin said. 'That's who needs the copyright strikes. That's who needs the axe.' It is unclear what exactly the copyright issue entails. That comment appears sometime after the opening sequence of Finny's stream, which included a copyright disclaimer and an obviously fake portrayal of President Donald Trump saying, 'I want to say '[Expletive] Sin City Family and [Expletive] Manny.' Sin City Family, apparently, include other online streamers who have banded together. Finny Da Legend's streams remain online, with approximately 4,000 subscribers. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Potential Matchups Spark Debate: Nurmagomedov vs. O'Malley, Sandhagen vs. Merab

Potential Matchups Spark Debate: Nurmagomedov vs. O'Malley, Sandhagen vs. Merab originally appeared on Athlon Sports. UFC 316 saw the continuation of a dominant title reign for Merab Dvalishvili, who dispatched of the challenger and former bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley with a rare north-south Ezekiel choke. With his first finish since 2021, Dvalishvili is undoubtedly the king of the division. Now that the dust has settled, the division is ripe for new potential matchups that will bring fireworks to the deepest division in the UFC. Advertisement The UFC bantamweight division is heating up, and former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson has weighed in on the brewing debates. UFC CEO Dana WhitePhoto by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images On The Mighty Guru show, the MMA legend laid out his ideal scenarios for the 135-pound title picture, emphasizing the need for fresh contenders and solid matchmaking. 'You can do Umar [Nurmagomedov] versus Sean O'Malley when Sean's ready to come back; that'll be a banger fight,' Johnson said, highlighting the fan-friendly potential of a clash between the rising Dagestani star and the flashy former champ. Both O'Malley and Nurmagomedov are coming off of failed title challenges against the current reigning champion, so a match between these two could rebuild both of their resumes with a high-profile win, keeping them around the top of the rankings. Advertisement With O'Malley now on a two-fight skid, Johnson's suggestion of booking him against Umar would allow Cory Sandhagen to step into a title eliminator or even a direct shot at Merab When bringing up Sandhagen, Johnson questioned the UFC's recent tendency to grant title shots off losses, arguing, 'Why not just give Merab vs. Cory? Have Umar fight Sean or Umar fight somebody else to let those guys [earn it]... stop giving title fights off of a loss, how about that?' Sandhagen, who recently rebounded with a technical submission win over former UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo, has long been a top contender with a stellar resume but has yet to challenge for the undisputed belt. Sandhagen's case for a title shot is bolstered by his recent performances, including wins over Rob Font and Marlon "Chito" Vera. Despite a close loss to Umar in a title eliminator last year, "The Sandman" has consistently faced the division's toughest competition. Advertisement Merab, for his part, seems open to all challenges. After his latest title defense at UFC 316, he called out Sandhagen as the most deserving contender. "He's a new style and we know there is no MMA math,' said Dvalishvili in an interview with Ariel Helwani for Uncrowned. 'The style makes the fight, and Cory, he's a different style. It will be a test for me." Goals galore in third instalment of Stanley Cup Final

Defending champions Florida capitalised on Edmonton's worst performance in weeks to thrash the Oilers in Game 3 for a 2-1 lead in the Stanley Cup Final. Brad Marchand and Sam Bennett scored again, Sam Reinhart and Carter Verhaeghe each got their first goal in the series as the Panthers registered a 6-1 rout on Monday night. THE PANTHERS TAKE THE SERIES LEAD!! 😼 Catch Game 4 of the #StanleyCup Final between the @EdmontonOilers and @FlaPanthers Thursday, June 12 at 8p ET on @NHL_On_TNT, @SportsonMax, @Sportsnet, and @TVASports! — NHL (@NHL) June 10, 2025 Marchand became the oldest player to score in each of the first three games of a final and the first to open the scoring the next time out after notching an overtime winner. His 11 goals in the final are the most among active players, one more than similarly ageless Corey Perry. Bennett added his NHL playoff-leading 14th goal, just the second at home, after making a big hit on Edmonton's Vasily Podkolzin that contributed to the turnover to spring him on a breakaway. Marchand and Bennett have combined to score eight of Florida's 13 goals in the series. But it was not just them this time. Verhaeghe buried a perfect shot into the net under the cross bar on the power play, Reinhart made up for missing the net on an earlier attempt, Aaron Ekblad scored to chase Stuart Skinner on the fifth goal on 23 shots and Evan Rodrigues added the exclamation point in the waning minutes. At the other end of the ice, Sergei Bobrovsky earned the "Bobby! Bobby!" chants from a fired up South Florida crowd. The two-time Vezina Trophy-winning goaltender known as "Bob" was on his game for the very few quality chances the disjointed Oilers mustered, making 32 saves. Perry - at 40 the oldest player in the series - beat Bobrovsky with some silky hands for a power-play goal, keeping up this final being a showcase of cagey veterans along with Marchand. Connor McDavid could not get his team on track, and Edmonton took 15 minors - led by Evander Kane's three plus a misconduct to add up to 85 penalty minutes - including a brawl that ensued with less than 10 minutes left. Trent Frederic and Darnell Nurse, who fought Jonah Gadjovich, got misconducts that knocked them out of a game with an outcome determined long before. After the final looked as evenly matched as can be with Games 1 and 2 each needing extra time, overtime and then double OT, Game 3 was a lopsided mismatch. The Oilers came unglued to the point Jake Walman resorted to squirting water on Panthers players on their bench from his spot on the visiting side. The teams have some extra time off before Game 4 on Thursday night, when the Panthers have the chance to take a 3-1 lead and move to the verge of going back to back.
