A historic building nestled at the heart of Swansea city centre has been put up for sale.
The building is situated at 1 Kingsway and is also known as the YMCA building in Swansea. It consists of four storeys and enjoys a Grade two listed status.
The building currently houses its namesake, the YMCA, Indian restaurant Desi Swaag, Wetherspoons, Tesco Express, Halifax, and more. As it is located in Swansea City Centre, the building is also close to the train station, which is a 15 minute walk away.
The building has been listed for sale by the firm Lambert Smith Hampton , and is available for freehold at a price of £850,000.

The firm said the building, which spans over 19,526 square feet or 1,814 square meters, was multi-let and generated an income of £155,388 annually and that this was set to increase with a new agreed lease to the YMCA over part of the building once the property is sold.

The building itself dates back to 1913 and is described by the agents as a 'substantial detached grade II Listed building.'
In the particulars section of the listing it states: "The property is of brick external face with stone surround, the windows are generally single glazed with timber frame sash windows."
The building's ground floor houses two commercial units that can be accessed from The Kingsway.

Massive cruise ship with 2,000 passengers docks at Fishguard
The 71,304 tonne AIDAsol arrived in Fishguard Harbour this morning, bringing with her 2,174 mainly German passengers to Pembrokeshire. The AIDAsol is currently on a nine-day cruise of Britain and Ireland. She left Hamburg on May 30 and sailed to Portsmouth and Falmouth before setting sail for Ireland, calling at Cork and Dubin. She has now sailed across the Irish Sea to Fishguard. This afternoon she will leave for Portland before returning to Hamburg for June 8. She arrived in port at 6.30 this morning and will depart at around 3.30 this afternoon. Passengers arriving at Fishguard Port were greeted by the award-winning Fishguard Friendly Faces who gave out goodie bags, Welsh cakes, their winning smiles and loads of advice on local attractions. To add to the warm Welsh welcome, entertainment quayside was provided by local musicians. Some passengers will have departed on coach trips to local attractions such as St Davids Cathedral, Carew Castle and Tenby. However, many more will be taking advantage of the free shuttle bus from the harbour into Fishguard to enjoy the local shops and eateries. This is the second Aida Cruises ship to dock in Fishguard this year, with the AIDAluna making her first visit to Fishguard in mid May. The AIDAsol is operated by Aida Cruises, was built in 2011, has 14 decks and was christened by Bettina Zwicker. It sails under the Italian flag and cost approximately $420 million US Dollars to build in 2011. The cruise ship spans across 14 decks and can carry a maximum of 2686 passengers and 609 crew members. The AIDAsol will return to Fishguard twice more this season; on July 17 and towards the end of the season on September 29. The next cruise ship to call into Fishguard will be the Corinthian on June 6.

France's Dassault and India's Tata to produce Rafale fuselage in Hyderabad
NEW DELHI, June 5 (Reuters) - France's Dassault Aviation ( opens new tab and India's Tata Advanced Systems have agreed to manufacture the fuselage of the Rafale fighter aircraft in India, the companies said on Thursday, the first time it will be produced outside France. India, the world's biggest arms importer, has been looking to step up domestic production and boost defence exports, which jumped 12% in the fiscal year to end-March, to $2.76 billion. Tata will set up a production facility in the southern city of Hyderabad to manufacture key structural sections of the Rafale as part of the agreement, the companies said in a statement. The first fuselage sections are expected to roll off the assembly line in the 2028 financial year, with the facility expected to deliver up to two complete fuselages per month, they said. The statement did not say how much the deal was worth nor whether the finish products would be for domestic use or export, but Tata Advanced Systems said on X that the fuselage would be "for India and other global markets". The Indian Air Force currently operates 36 Rafale fighters. India also signed a deal in April with France - its second-largest arms supplier - to buy 26 naval versions of the jets for $7 billion, which are expected to be delivered by 2030. The South Asian nation is looking to modernise its military and boost domestic weapons' production, particularly to strengthen its defences against neighbours Pakistan and China. India used fighter jets in four-days of fierce clashes with Pakistan last month, after a deadly attack by Islamist assailants that killed 26 men in Indian Kashmir. Pakistan's defence minister had said three of India's Rafale fighter jets had been shot down during the fighting but did not share any evidence. One U.S. official told Reuters that at least one downed Indian aircraft was a Rafale. Dassault Aviation had declined to comment.
