RIYADH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman held a phone call on Saturday with Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, expressing condolences and solidarity following Israeli attacks on Iran.
Prince Mohammed conveyed his sympathy to President Pezeshkian, the Iranian people, and the families of those killed in the attacks, and wished a swift recovery for the injured.
The Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom's condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli strikes, stating they represent a violation of Iranian sovereignty and a breach of international laws and norms.
He warned that the attacks have disrupted ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve the crisis and hindered de-escalation talks.
Emphasizing Saudi Arabia's position, the Crown Prince affirmed the Kingdom's rejection of using force to settle disputes, stressing that dialogue remains the essential path for resolving differences.
President Pezeshkian thanked the Crown Prince for his supportive stance and sincere sentiments toward the Iranian people, and praised Saudi Arabia's position in rejecting the aggression.
He also expressed appreciation to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz for ensuring the care and services provided to Iranian pilgrims during their stay in the Kingdom and their safe return home.
