RPSC APO 2024 Mains schedule out; admit cards from May 29
The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the Mains exam schedule for the Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) recruitment 2024. The exam will be conducted on June 1 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The admit card will be released at rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in on May 29, 2025.
The recruitment drive aims to fill 181 APO posts.

Frivolous applications: RPSC filed criminal cases against 14 candidates
1 2 Ajmer: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Friday said that it has filed a criminal complaint against 14 candidates between Nov 2024 and Jan 2025 for filing frivolous applications for the post of assistant professor in Sanskrit college education exam. The commission filed the complaints at the additional chief magistrate of Ajmer under Section 217 of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Jaswant Garasiya of Banswara is a Bachelor of Arts (BA), but he filed an application for the assistant director (Science and IT department) exam 2024, even though the essential qualification for this exam was a first-class degree in natural and agricultural science or a first-class Master's degree in engineering or technology, or a first-class MSc or MTech with a graduate degree in science and engineering, along with two years of specialised experience in IT and science technology organisation. Garasiya also filed an application for assistant testing officer and junior chemist exam of the RPSC. RPSC secretary Ramniwas Mehta said, "I spoke to the candidate on phone regarding the filing of the application, and he admitted that he is a BA pass, but he could not answer why he filed such applications." The IT department prepared a special software with AI to detect such applications that do not have the essential qualification or experience. Mehta said, "Therefore, we have given a chance to such candidates to withdraw their applications by June 9 in 10 different types of exams which RPSC is going to conduct." Mehta said, "Another candidate I spoke to was Khalendra Prasad of Sambhar Lake of Jaipur, who is a Bachelor of Engineering and filed an application for assistant testing officer for which the essential qualification was MSc in geology or MSc in chemistry with two years of experience in testing of soil aggregates." Mehta said that the RPSC also warned that if a candidate provides forged documents or wrong information about the essential qualification or experience, then an FIR will be filed against him as RPSC has already filed FIRs in such matters. SOG arrests 3 govt employees for role in 2021 SI paper leak
Jaipur: Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan Police Thursday arrested three govt officials in connection with the 2021 Sub-Inspector recruitment examination paper leak case, further unravelling a complex web of corruption in the recruitment process. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The arrests include two assistant accounts officers (AAOs)—Purushottam Dadhich (35) and Sandeep Kumar Lata (43)— and a Grade III teacher, Kundan Kumar Pandya (54), as confirmed by DIG (SOG) Paris Deshmukh. Dadhich, a resident of Didwana-Kuchaman, was already placed under suspension by the medical and health department in Udaipur where he was serving, while Lata, a resident of Sikar, was posted at the treasury and accounts department in Jaipur. Pandya was posted at a govt primary school in Palwada, Dungarpur. The TOI reported on Jan 5 that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) mentioned in its report that Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) member Babu Lal Katara, who was arrested in the same case, allegedly handed over six sets of the 2021 SI exam question papers to commission colleague Ramu Ram Raika. These were later leaked to Dadhich also, who allegedly circulated them for profit nearly a month before the exam. Investigators believe that Katara's association with Dadhich during the former's posting in Udaipur facilitated the leak. The investigation has revealed a broader conspiracy than initially suspected. Earlier findings suggested that RPSC member Katara leaked the papers only to benefit his colleague Raika's children—Devesh and Shobha—both of whom were arrested while undergoing SI training in Jaipur. However, recent developments indicate a commercial operation where question papers reached Dadhich and the same were sold to multiple candidates. Dadhich's role emerged last year following the arrest of trainee sub-inspectors identified as Renu, Surendra Bagadia and Surjeet, who got the exam paper beforehand. However, when the police arrested the trio, Dadhich went underground.

NREGA scam: Gujarat minister Bachu Khabad's son Balvantsinh re-arrested 3 days after release on bail
The Dahod district police in Gujarat Sunday re-arrested Balvantsinh Khabad, the older son of Gujarat Minister of State for Panchayat Bachubhai Khabad, in a fresh FIR lodged against him by the District Rural Development Authority (DRDA) for an alleged irregularity under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in the Dhanpur taluka. Balvantsinh's arrest comes just three days after the Dahod sessions court on Thursday upheld the regular bail granted to the two brothers —Kiran and Balvantsinh —in the first case filed by the DRDA regarding an alleged MGNREGA scam worth Rs 71 crore. While Kiran was re-arrested minutes after being released from judicial custody on Thursday, in a second FIR lodged in connection with irregularities in Lavaria village of Devgadh Baria taluka, Balvantsinh's arrest has been made in a third FIR lodged by the DRDA in the case of incomplete projects in Bhanpur village in Dhanpur taluka of the district. Speaking to The Indian Express, Dahod Deputy Superintendent of Police Jagdishsinh Bhandari said, 'We have re-arrested Balvantsinh Khabad on Sunday morning, following a fresh FIR of DRDA. The new case involves an amount of approximately Rs 33 lakh, as about 11 incomplete MGNREGA works have been found in Bhanpur village of Dhanpur taluka.' 'The modus operandi is the same; the agencies were unauthorised as they did not participate in the tendering process and then generated bills for material supply when the projects had not been undertaken on the ground,' added Bhandari. Bhandari added that Balvantsinh will be produced in court late Sunday evening, with the police seeking his fresh remand. Earlier, Kiran Khabad was sent to seven days in police custody in connection with the case filed on Thursday. The first FIR in the multi-village MGNREGA scam was lodged on April 24 by the Dahod DRDA director. It states that villages of Kuva and Redhana in Devgadh Baria and Simamoi in Dhanpur reported forged completion reports of MGNREGA projects, with payments 'made in connivance' to 'unauthorised' agencies for supplying material. Out of the 35 unauthorised agencies, 28 were found in Devgadh Baria to have received payments for non-existent roads under MGNREGA. As many as 14 people have been arrested in the case, including the then taluka development officer (TDO) of Devgadh Baria, Darshan Patel, the current Deputy District Development Officer (DDO) of Dahod, Rasik Rathwa, who was then the TDO of Dhanpur taluka, as well as Dilip Chauhan, a former assistant programme officer (APO), and a distant relative of the Khabads. Then, APO of Dhanpur, Bhavesh Rathod, MIS operator Sanjay Baria, and the owners of other agencies that supplied materials — Parth Baria and Jagdish Baria — are among the 14 accused who have been arrested so far. Kiran and Balvantsinh are the only accused to have been arrested in more than one FIR so far.
