Wallabies star Kurtley Beale selling final Sydney property
The 95-cap Wallaby legend and Western Force player Kurtley Beale is cutting his ties with Sydney property.
Having sold his Randwick home last year, Beale and wife Maddi are now selling their Paddington apartment.
While the apartment at 11/228 Moore Park Road, Paddington has been an investment property over recent years, Beale did live in the one-bedroom bolthole when he was training at Allianz Stadium. The Paddington Barracks building on Moore Park Rd sits opposite the homebase of the Waratahs.

McGrath Paddington agent Georgia Cleary has given a $780,000 guide for its June 6 auction.
The ground-floor apartment with a deep courtyard cost $380,000 in 2007, the same year Beale played his first game for the Waratahs as an 18-year-old.
Data shows the 68sq m unit was offered for rent in August 2020, in the pandemic, at $480 a week, which was well down on its $630 a week offering in 2019.
The last one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment without parking in the building was sold for $825,000 last July.
This one first sold for $388,800 after Walker Corp designed the $28m, 75-unit apartment complex in 1999, with it completed in 2001 by Australand. The late developer Lang Walker had secured the 3400sq m site from the Metropolitan Water Sewerage & Drainage Board for $6.25m.

Beale and Maddi, who have two children, have recently bought in Cottesloe, the popular beachside Perth suburb. They spent $2.2m on a new three-bedroom apartment in the Elizabeth Residences, named after the 1839 shipwreck 200m from the Cottesloe shore.
The two-level apartment is within a boutique complex of eight, set five doors from the beach, which was pitched as being perfect for a professional couple, downsizers or retirees, as well as a small family.

All up there is 238sq m of internal and external living space, and a further 30sq m of stacker parking for two cars, and small storage.
Beale secured $4.725m for his former Federation Randwick home, which he bought for $2.651m in 2015. It had been a longtime rental since his time playing for the Waratahs, with stints in the UK and France taking him away.

‘Over the top' house sells for $18.5m
It was described as capturing 'the romance and timeless beauty of a Mediterranean villa', and the house known as 'Formentera' certainly does that. You won't find too many grand Australian homes with internal finishes quite like this. Even its latest vendors, sources say, considered them a bit 'over the top'. The grand six-bedroom home at 86 Lang Rd, Centennial Park, has just sold for $18.5m after 27 days on the market via Ray White Double Bay's Ashley Bierman and Thomas Popple, in conjunction with Ben Collier and Daniel Acocks at The Agency. But it had been on the market since last September with Collier, initially with hopes of $23m. The result fell at the lower end of its latest $18.5m-$20m guide, with the buyers known to be banker Andrew Cox and his partner, Pru, moving from 22 Attunga St, Woollahra that's listed with Collier. They no doubt factored in a reno for the Lang Rd mansion, to bring it more in line with Australian contemporary tastes. MORE: Fashion icon's splurge after $20m sale The recent Wentworth Courier House of the Week property, which gets its name from the smallest of the Spanish Balearic Islands, is currently owned by Rob Speedie, former Novotech CFO, and Annabelle Mooney, the former JPMorgan managing director. The pair bought the four-storey house in 2021 for $12.5 million from car dealers Paul and Elizabeth Warren, of the Peter Warren Automotives clan. Perhaps it was these previous owners who were behind the 'exquisite hand-painted ceilings, architectural detailing, and a warm Mediterranean palette'. The marble kitchen, with its island bench, Ilve cooker and integrated Sub-Zero fridges, has all the mod cons, but is probably set for a makeover. What would have sold the place, though, was the 854sqm landholding in a prime location on millionaire's row in Centennial Park, with the buyers looking beyond the current design of the 650sq m of internal living space. As Kirsten Craze wrote in her recent feature: 'Outdoors, the landscaped grounds include a European parterre front yard with a pond and manicured hedges, as well as a rear yard with a huge pool, a paved terrace and lawn. 'The first floor is home to a family bathroom plus four bedrooms including the palatial primary and secondary suite, both with large dressing rooms, balconies and deluxe ensuites. 'One more level includes a fifth bedroom or teenager retreat with adjoining sitting room, a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. Above the double lock up garage and utility room, a convenient one-bedroom au pair or guest apartment comes complete with a kitchen and bathroom, as well as its own private entrance. 'Across from Centennial Park, Formentera is within easy access of Woollahra shops, Oxford St, the Allianz Stadium precinct, Entertainment Quarter, horse riding and the Sporting Club of Sydney.'

Proteas dig in at Lord's, Cummins makes breakthrough
South Africa have made the most of perfect batting conditions at Lord's to reduce Australia's lead to 91 in the World Test Championship final. Starting day two in serious trouble at 4-43, the Proteas were able to frustrate Australia's star-studded bowling attack and move to 5-121 at lunch on day two. Australia, boosted by Beau Webster's 72 and a 66 from Steve Smith, posted 212 on Wednesday after being sent in to bat. With the sun shining from ball one on Thursday, unlike day one when it was overcast until the afternoon, South Africa batted sensibly and attempted to keep the scoreboard moving. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma survived a controversial DRS decision, allowing him to make important inroads into Australia's lead. Adjudged lbw on 16 off Josh Hazlewood, Bavuma left it late to review, but eventually took the decision upstairs with four seconds remaining. The ball would have been smashing into the stumps, but a spike on snicko incredibly meant Bavuma had survived.
