Brad Pitt's unfixable relationship with Pax
According to the Daily Mail, the sources expressed that the father-son relationship is beyond repair. Last month, Pax and his friends were snapped while getting out of the hotel in an inebriated state, and then they headed to the adult entertainment club, eventually leaving the venue around 3 a.m.
The source stated that Pitt washed his hands of the Pax drama, alleging, 'He has zero concern with what Pax does or doesn't do.
[Pax's] actions reflect who he is.' 'Brad honestly considers his relationship with Pax unfixable,' the report added.
...it's because of how the children have been raised
The 'Fight Club' star believes that his strained relationship with the children is because of Jolie, and her primary custody post-filing for divorce. A person close to Brad expressed that he believes what he is going through with the kids is the direct result of how they have been raised.
'They are now old enough to make their own choices, and if their choices include drama, that is all on them.
Brad would be there to give advice, but he cannot be when he is unable to have a relationship with them at this time,' according to the report.
Brad Pitt's strained relationship with his children
Subsequently, along with Shiloh, Pitt's other children, Vivienne, Knox, Maddox, and Zahara, have reportedly and informally dropped the 'Pitt' from their names as well.
Pax and his relationship with his dad, Brad Pitt, has been strained for a while now. On Father's Day in 2020, the 21-year-old posted a photo of Pitt winning an Oscar, and noted, 'You time and time again prove to be a terrible and despicable person. You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children, who tremble in fear when in your presence. You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell.
You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday.'

KidZania pauses ‘prophetic' newspaper ad after Air India crash while social media wonders, ‘Was that a sign?'
Hours before hours the Air India plane crash, a front-page ad in the Mid-Day newspaper on June 12 featured an Air India aircraft. The positioning of the aircraft in the ad was a strange and sad coincidence. Flight AI171, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner heading from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after take-off. Out of 242 people on board, only one survived. The same morning, the Mid-Day ad promoted KidZania's Father's Day weekend event. The newspaper was featured in the newspaper distributed all over Gujarat. It showed an Air India plane coming out of windows over a cartoon city, inviting kids to play pilot or cabin crew. After the crash, many readers felt the cheerful image now looked haunting. People on social media were shocked by the timing, but all agreed the ad was planned in advance and purely coincidental. No one blamed KidZania or the newspaper. Still, the timing left many feeling unsettled. While the ad was meant to be playful, it turned eerie when Flight AI171 crashed just hours later. One social media user wrote while sharing the ad, 'Same airline. Same visual. How shocking & mysterious.' While finding the coincidence 'unbelievable', one user wondered, 'Was that a sign?' Some called it the 'height of coincidence' while others find it 'shocking'. 'The otherwise harmless front-page KidZania ad in Mid-day today depicting the theme park has understandably created a flutter online in view of the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad. Some say it was prophetic,' wrote another user. The image in the Mid-Day ad was part of a planned summer campaign by KidZania, nowhere linked to the Air India crash. According to KidZania India, the aircraft in the ad represents their Aviation Academy, run in partnership with Air India. It is used in all their centres globally. This indoor theme park for children lets kids role-play real-life jobs like pilots, doctors and chefs. The Air India Academy at KidZania's Mumbai and Noida centres help children learn about aviation through fun, hands-on activities. After the Flight AI171 crash, KidZania expressed deep sorrow and offered condolences to the affected families. They clarified that the ad had been submitted much earlier. 'The advertisement was submitted well before the unfortunate event, as part of a pre-planned summer campaign. We remain sensitive to this tragedy and have paused any further promotion of the said visual," the company told NDTV.

Materialists review: Romance is the only luxury in this glossy love triangle
If you judged Celine Song's second feature by its trailer, you might expect a frothy romcom with a glossy love triangle—Dakota Johnson caught between Chris Evans and Pedro Pascal sounds like an OTT platform algorithm's dream. But as with Past Lives, her Oscar-nominated debut, Celine is not afraid to steer the ship into deeper, stormier waters. Materialists may sparkle with the trappings of romantic comedy, but it's really a sophisticated examination of how money complicates intimacy—and whether love without financial stability can survive in today's world. Lucy (Dakota Johnson) is a high-end matchmaker in New York City, pairing affluent clients with partners who tick every curated box—from height and hair density to income brackets and gym routines. She believes love is a transaction like any other, a philosophy reinforced by a past breakup with John (Chris Evans), a struggling actor whose anniversary dinner plan involved a food cart. At a ritzy wedding, Lucy meets Henry (Pedro Pascal), the groom's impossibly wealthy brother, and also crosses paths with John again, now working the party as a waiter. Caught between old affection and newfound luxury, Lucy faces a modern dilemma: is it possible to have both love and a 12-million-dollar apartment? Celine Song's writing brims with nuance, wit, and surgical insight. Like in Past Lives, conversations in Materialists crackle with unspoken longing, contradictions, and societal tension. The film zeroes in on how the search for love has been shaped—and warped—by capitalism, especially in a city like New York, where net worth is often just as important as emotional compatibility. Dakota Johnson sheds her usual airy charm for something sharper, more commanding. Her Lucy is both savvy and vulnerable, a woman aware of her own contradictions and willing to live with them. Chris Evans gives one of his most grounded performances in years, playing a man whose earnestness isn't enough in a world where passion doesn't pay rent. Pedro Pascal's Henry is smooth and magnetic, but Song is careful not to present him as a one-dimensional 'Mr. Big' caricature—his appeal is just as much about emotional attentiveness as it is about wealth. The film is peppered with satirical flourishes. Lucy's clients, with their absurd romantic expectations, provide sly commentary on the commodification of dating. There's even a moment of dark reality when one of her matches turns violent—jarring, but intentionally so, grounding the movie in a world that isn't entirely aspirational. There's also a narrative corner the film paints itself into: it wants to critique the importance of money in relationships while acknowledging its undeniable influence. That leads to a slight cheat in the final act, where financial stakes are softened to make room for romance. The compromise may be intentional, but it also deflates some of the tension that's been building all along. Materialists isn't trying to give audiences a grand cinematic kiss in the rain. Smart, stylish, and at times uncomfortably honest, it's a film that dares to ask whether we fall in love with people—or with the lives they offer. It wants to leave you thinking about whether love can thrive without a healthy bank balance—or if, in today's hyper-capitalist world, romance has become just another luxury item. If this film doesn't sweep you off your feet, it stays with you like a tough but necessary conversation.
