Carlos Alcaraz v Jiri Lehecka live: Tennis score and latest updates from Queen's final
Carlos Alcaraz is taking on Czech big-hitter Jiri Lehecka in the men's final at Queen's Club. Alcaraz survived a scare against fellow Spaniard Jaume Munar in the second round and has improved his grass game since then, defeating Arthur Rinderknech and Roberto Bautista Agut in the quarter-finals and semis. The defending Wimbledon champion looks to have found his rhythm and a second Queen's crown today, following his triumph over Alex de Minaur in the final two years ago, would be perfect preparation for SW19. But Alcaraz can expect a stern test Lehecka, the 23-year-old who came through a fierce battle with Jack Draper to reach his first ATP 500 final. The world No 30 will jump up the rankings with victory here, and his powreful serve – a perfect weapon for grass – will need taming if Alcaraz is to prevail. How they got here: Lahecka sinks home hope Draper Jack Draper revealed he was suffering with tonsillitis after making an angry exit from Queen's Club. The British number one smashed his racket, damaging a digital advertising hoarding and grazing his knee, as his semi-final against Jiri Lehecka slipped away from him. Draper explained he was low on energy due to the illness and was getting angry in a bid to gee himself up. But when world number 30 Lehecka fizzed a backhand past him to break for 6-5 in the deciding set, the 23-year-old exploded with rage. Liverpool agree Jarell Quansah's Leverkusen transfer and include savvy clause – sparking Marc Guehi battle
BAYER LEVERKUSEN have agreed a deal to sign Jarell Quansah from Liverpool for a fee of £30m, according to reports. Quansah, 22, will sign a contract with the Bundesliga outfit until 2030, but could return to Merseyside in the future thanks to a savvy clause in his deal. 1 According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool have included a buy-back clause in the defender's contract that will give them control over the England international's future should they wish to bring him back to Anfield. Leverkusen are expected to pay Liverpool an initial £30m fee for Quansah, with £5m worth of potential add-ons also included in the deal. Quansah, who is currently away with the England U21 squad at the U21 European Championships, featured in 13 Premier League games for Liverpool last season. His switch to Leverkusen could now spark Liverpool into a move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. Guehi is admired by the top brass at Anfield and is thought to prefer a move to Arne Slot's side over fellow suitors Arsenal. The England defender wants regular first-team football and assurances from boss Mikel Arteta that he will get it in the North London team. But William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes would almost certainly start ahead of the 24-year-old if he was to move there. The defender does not want to be sitting on the bench with the World Cup coming up next summer and Liverpool could be the perfect fit. THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY..
