Saudi Electricity Company starts work on Jeddah substation project
Saudi Arabia's National Housing Company (NHC) has announced that work has started on the Sadayem Power Substation Project in northern Jeddah, in collaboration with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
The project is being implemented under an agreement between the two entities, ensuring the highest engineering standards through technical and engineering support at all stages, said NHC in a statement.
Sadayem Destination is strategically located near the Red Sea coast in a promising area for future developments, north of Jeddah. Spanning over 3.8 million sq m, it offers a modern lifestyle concept with green corridors stretching 8km long.
According to NHC, the substation is being built on a 4,500 sq m area at an investment of over SAR271 million ($72 million).
The electrical connection lines will extend 13 kilometers to supply over 8,000 residential units, accommodating around 45,000 residents and ensuring optimal electricity distribution within the urban destination, it stated.
The Saudi Electricity Project Development Company will be overseeing all phases to uphold the highest safety and quality standards, aiming to enhance the electrical network and provide highly reliable power services to the destination, it added.- TradeArabia News Service

Saudi's Sumou signs $181mln deal to build villas in Makkah Gate scheme
Sumou Real Estate Company has signed an agreement with the state-backed National Housing Company (NHC) to develop residential units in the Areem Makkah project. The villas will be developed on the land plots allocated to Sumou within the Makkah Gate project, the company said in a statement to the Saudi stock exchange on Sunday. Dubbed 'Area O2' within the Makkah Gate, the project covers 231,600 square metres with an estimated development value of 680 million Saudi riyals ($181.30 million). Saudi NHC launches premium real estate projects in Tabuk
Saudi National Housing Company (NHC) has announced the signing of key agreements with leading developers for the launch of Tabuk Hills as well as the second phase of Tabuk Valley, the newest urban destinations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was launched by Tabuk Region Governor Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz in the presence of senior Saudi officials. Saudi-listed Retal to build 995 residential units in Al-Khobar
Retal Urban Development Company has signed a sub-development agreement with the state-run National Housing Company to develop 995 residential units in Al-Aziziyah district, Al-Khobar. The estimated development value is 1.41 billion Saudi riyals ($373.21 million), the company said in a statement to the Saudi stock exchange on Thursday. The contract duration is 42 months from the commencement date of the agreement. The project will have a positive impact on the company's results from 2025 to 2028, the statement said.
