Indian cricketer Rinku Singh recently got engaged to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The intimate ceremony was held in the presence of family and close friends. For the engagement, Priya stunned in a pastel pink lehenga while Rinku opted for a complementary white achkan set.
Taking to their social media, Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj shared a series of pictures from their engagement ceremony. They wrote, 'This day has been in our hearts for so long – almost three years – and the wait was worth every second. Engaged – with full hearts and a forever to go." The pictures showed the couple posing on the stage as they exchanged rings. In another picture, the couple can be seen in an embrace as they pose for the pictures.
For the engagement, Priya chose comfort without compromising on elegance. She donned a light pink and white lehenga ideal for the hot, humid weather. Her outfit featured a simple blouse, a voluminous skirt, and a matching sheer dupatta, balancing beauty and breathability with ease. For the accessories, she added a touch of glam as she paired the pastel ensemble with stone-detailed drop earrings and a matching necklace that lent a vibrant contrast. Soft makeup in pink hues and gently pulled-back curls completed her look, letting her jewellery shine.
While Priya nailed summer bridal fashion in pink, Rinku looked dapper in a cream achkan adorned with delicate silver thread embroidery. He paired his look with classic leather loafers.
Rinku Singh, 26, a prominent Indian cricketer known for his performances with Kolkata Knight Riders and appearances in ODIs for India, is set to tie the knot with Priya Saroj, also 26. Priya recently made headlines as a first-time Member of Parliament from the Machhlishahr constituency and is the daughter of three-time MP and current Samajwadi Party MLA, Toofani Saroj.
The couple's wedding is reportedly scheduled for November 2025 in Varanasi. Earlier, on June 1, Toofani Saroj shared with the media that the engagement would be a private ceremony attended by close family and friends, and that the match was arranged with mutual consent after both families met in Aligarh.
