
CAIKC successfully hosts badminton tournament
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 9: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India - Kuwait Chapter (ICAIKC) recently organized a thrilling Badminton Tournament at I Smash Badminton Academy, Ahmadi, Kuwait. The event, open exclusively to ICAIKC members and their families, saw enthusiastic participation from many attendees. The tournament featured various categories, including Men's Doubles, Women's Doubles, Boys' (8-12 Years), Boys' (Teen Category), and Girls' Singles, with winners and runners-up being awarded trophies.
The Tournament began with CA Aditya Dhanuka, Chairman of the ICAI Kuwait Chapter inaugurating the event, after which CA Jatin Bagaria, Executive Committee Member, took the lead to warmly welcome the participants and outline the rules, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day's competitions.
The competition was then set into motion, with CA Jatin Bagaria managing the event and organizing efforts from CA Joseph Peter and CA Umesh Soni. The games were smoothly facilitated with the help of additional committee members such as CA Dhruv Shah, CA Bhavani Vikram Joshi, CA Kunjumary Ignatious, and CA Sonia Enamakel.
CA Aditya Dhanuka, expressed his congratulations to all the winners and participants, emphasizing that such events help promote sportsmanship and camaraderie among members and their families. He then extended a special thanks to the committee members who ensured seamless tournament management. He also highlighted the joy and enthusiasm that filled the event, creating a memorable experience for all attendees.
CA Aditya Dhanuka also began the Prize Distribution ceremony, during which the committee members handed over trophies to the respective winners. The Chapter also expressed gratitude to its annual sponsors, Al Mulla Exchange and NBK, for their continued support.
The tournament wrapped up on a delightful note, with a sweet surprise awaiting the attendees. The Chapter presented each participant's family with a special Diwali gift box of sweets by Mughal Mahal, adding festive joy and warmth to the memorable event.

ASSP Kuwait holds 12th International HSSE conference
The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) – Kuwait Chapter successfully hosted the 12th International Health, Safety, Security, Environment (HSSE) and Loss Prevention Professional Development Conference and Exhibition on May 7-8, 2025. Held under the patronage of the minister of oil, the event gathered over 500 HSE professionals, experts and delegates to share insights on the theme 'Advancing HSSE: Synergizing Technology, Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship'. Inaugurated by Nouf Behbehani, Acting Director of Kuwait's Environment Public Authority, the conference featured keynote speeches, executive panel discussions, symposiums, technical sessions and workshops. Topics ranged from occupational health and fire safety to cybersecurity, women's leadership, and environmental management. More than 50 technical papers and e-posters were presented, alongside a specialized exhibition showcasing innovative safety technologies from over 20 companies.
