Aizawl: Mizoram chief minister Lalduhoma on Monday said during a discussion with railway minister , the latter agreed to develop the Sairang Railway Station, located on the outskirts of Aizawl, into a world class railway station. After completion of the KMMTTP, it will become a hub of trade with south Asian countries not only for Mizoram but also for the rest of the country, he said. He added that southern Mizoram will become the gateway of the state and the entire northeast region. He further said a study team headed by the state chief secretary has been constituted to prepare for the project's completion which will have huge effects on the economy and social lives of the people.
