Iran underground enrichment site attacked again: Iranian state television

Iran's underground enrichment site at Fordow was again attacked on Monday, Iranian state television reported.
The report, also carried by other Iranian media, offered no word on damage, nor on who launched the assault.
However, Israel has been conducting air strikes throughout the day on Iran.
On Sunday, the United States launched a major attack on three Iranian nuclear sites, including Fordow, which required the use of sophisticated bunker-buster bombs.
Iran fired a salvo of missiles and drones on Monday at Israel while also warning the United States that its military had been given a 'free hand' to attack American targets in the wake of the Trump administration's massive strikes.
The head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog said on Monday that 'very heavy damage' is expected at the Fordow facility after the US air strike there.

Iran underground enrichment site targeted again

Israel hit Iranian government targets on Monday in Tehran, including the notorious Evin Prison, the Israeli Defence Ministry said, as other strikes targeted Iran's underground enrichment site at Fordow for a second time. Advertisement Evin prison is known for holding dual nationals and Westerners often used by Iran as bargaining chips in negotiations with the West. Iran, meanwhile, fired a salvo of missiles and drones at Israel and warned the United States that its military now has a 'free hand' to attack American targets in the wake of the Trump administration's massive strikes on Iranian nuclear sites on Sunday. Fears of a wider regional conflict loomed large after the US inserted itself into Israel's war, raising urgent questions about what remains of Tehran's nuclear programme and how its weakened military might respond. The price of oil rose as financial markets reacted. President Donald Trump, who has warned of additional strikes if Tehran retaliates against US forces, has mused about the possibility of 'regime change' in Iran, despite administration officials earlier indicating they wanted to restart talks with the country. ‘Horror' for Iranians in Hong Kong as escalation in Middle East conflict hits families

An Iranian resident in Hong Kong has described the past few days as a 'horror' and a 'nightmare', as the latest escalation in the Middle East caused him to lose contact with loved ones due to failed internet connections and fear for their ability to get to safety. Behzad Mirzaei, who has lived in Hong Kong for three decades and is the founder of the local Persian Club, said the stress from worrying about his family and friends in Iran had caused him to lose sleep. 'My mother is stuck there, my best friends are stuck there, my elder brother is stuck there, and my younger brother is stuck in a different city,' he said. He described the situation as a 'nightmare', especially since his hometown, Isfahan, where a research centre is located, was one of three nuclear sites that the United States military attacked on the weekend. Mirzaei is among about 400 Iranians living in Taiwan, Macau and Hong Kong, according to the Iranian embassy in the latter. The community in Hong Kong comprises a number of PhD and postdoctoral, as well as a few businesspeople and athletes.
