Former college football coach Tommy Tuberville is a senator from Alabama who has a lot to say about California Governor Gavin Newsom's handling of the protests in Los Angeles.
He told Florida's Voice, "LA looks like a third world country — anarchists are in charge, law enforcement is being attacked, and the rule of law is nonexistent."
He also told the outlet to "Lock him up."

His response is going super viral: "Alabama has 3X the homicide rate of California. Its murder rate is ranked third in the entire country. Stick to football, bro."
According to the CDC, Alabama's homicide rate is 14.9 (per 100,000 while California's rate is 5.9 (per 100,000).
So, yeah, Alabama really does have 3X the homicide rate of California.
Ol' Tommy didn't love that and responded, "You're burning Los Angeles to the ground to protect illegal aliens…. I would say stick to governing, but you CLEARLY aren't doing a very good job of that."
Which, like, okay... As this person said, "Los Ángeles is not being burned to the ground. If it was, we'd all know."

So-called reciprocal tariffs, under which the U.S. will match duties imposed by other countries, have also been levied in a bid to rebalance trade flows. Iran and the US will hold a sixth round of negotiations over Tehran's rapidly advancing nuclear programme this Sunday in Oman, the sultanate's foreign minister has said. The announcement by Oman's foreign minister Badr al-Busaidi comes as the US is drawing down the presence of staffers who are not deemed essential to operations in the Middle East and their loved ones due to the potential for regional unrest.
