Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma 'Got More Screen Time': Preity Zinta's Fans UPSET After IPL Final

Last Updated: Preity Zinta's fans are upset with broadcasters for 'forgetting' about her and PBKS after RCB's IPL win. The 2025 IPL Final was held on Tuesday, June 3, between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Punjab Kings (PBKS). Virat Kohli's RCB emerged victorious after a wait of 18 years, and the stadium erupted with joy as he ran to hug his actress wife, Anushka Sharma. Visuals of Virat and Anushka went viral across social media platforms as fans lauded their chemistry. However, some Preity Zinta fans are upset with broadcasters as she didn't get enough 'screen time' after PBKS' loss. A post on Reddit, which has now gone viral, read, 'Anushka Sharma got more screen time than Shreyas Iyer (PBKS captain). I've been watching cricket for years, and I don't think I've ever seen a final so focused on one narrative. RCB deserved the win… It felt like PBKS didn't even exist." The post mentioned, 'No post-match heartbreak, no acknowledgement of the fight they put up — not even a single proper shot of Preity Zinta. And about the constant focus on Anushka Sharma… yeah, she's always been part of the cameras during Kohli matches, but this felt excessive. Her reactions were shown more than even some RCB players." The post mentioned that while it intended no hate for Virat and Anushka, Preity Zinta also deserved attention as the owner of PBKS. One person wrote in the comments, 'True, I felt it too…surprised to see they didn't give any attention to even Preity Zinta." Another mentioned, 'So so true! Finally, someone said it." Another wrote, 'I agree with you guys. Emphasis ought to be given to both perspectives. This win wouldn't have felt as special without tough competition." One person commented, 'But honestly, even if RCB had lost, it would still be Virushka content all over — just a sadder version. Kohli crying, Anushka coming down to hug him." Another added, 'Virat, Virat's wife, Virat's old mates AB & Gayle… It was just about them last night. The rest of the RCB players were barely given any limelight. Even the captain Rajat, didn't get any attention. So I'm not surprised they completely forgot about Punjab and Preity." One person wrote, 'I was eagerly waiting to see Preity and Iyer's reaction after the loss, but they were busy showing Anushka and her reactions." Meanwhile, several Indian celebrities are celebrating RCB's win. Among others, Deepika Padukone, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Allu Arjun, Vijay Deverakonda and Mahesh Babu congratulated Virat Kohli. Suniel Shetty also took to his Instagram stories to pen down a heartwarming note for Virat and Anushka. First Published:
