Since it was first added to the route in 1985 it's the famous climb of the 'Mur de Huy' that has decided winner of La Flèche Wallonne each year. After a tough day in the hills of the Ardenne and a total of four ascents of this dreaded ascent it takes a mix of brute force and perfect timing to land the killer blow to defeat your rivals.

This midweek Belgian classic is all about the final ascent up the brutal 26% slopes of the legendary Mur de Huy. No other race is so dominated by a single stretch of tarmac. Flèche and the Mur are inseparable.
Victory comes down to energy management, positioning on the final climb, and launching your attack at just the right moment with legs of steel.
Returning for more in 2025 is 2023 champion Tadej Pogačar (UAE Team Emirates – XRG), the clear favourite. But even the greats can get it wrong on the Mur. There is still one game to go in the Scottish football calendar - but transfer season is already taking centre stage. Celtic will look to complete a domestic clean sweep on Saturday with a Scottish Cup triumph - but Aberdeen can spoil the party and pull off a major success. And it's one that will catch the eyes of the Hoops' faithful with the future of Arne Engels among the big names dominating the window so far. Advertisement The Belgian international has been linked with a move to Atalanta this summer - just 12 months on from his £11million arrival in Glasgow's east end. And while the man himself has shrugged off speculation, figures topping £30million have been thrown around in Italy for the Celtic man. Our man reckons that a big money offer could tempt the Hoops to cash-in on the 21-year-old: "Atalanta have been keeping a close eye on Celtic in recent seasons. "They were keen on Matt O'Riley before he went to Brighton and they also like Engels. "There have been big figures quoted and if the Italians were to come to the table at that level then Engels is likely to be sold. Burns said: "It looks like Lennon Miller will be leaving Fir Park this summer. He won't be short of offers. "There have been a few French clubs mentioned, including Strasbourg and Lyon, although a lot of that has been other agents trying to get busy. "Miller will have a number of options from the likes of Ipswich Town in the Championship to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga and Union Saint Gilloise in Belgium are just some of the clubs who have declared an interest. "My understanding is that he is keen to stay and fight for his place under the new manager. "I would suspect that if any decent offers come in for most of the Rangers squad then they would be considered. The next manager will want to revamp the squad and put his own stamp on it. Freeing up additional funds will be vital to that." But Scott reckons a deal could be some way off: "Jim Goodwin and his new head of recruitment have a number of target lists. Philippe Clement has pinpointed the moment he felt his Rangers breaking point had arrived. The Belgian boss was given the boot at Ibrox last season with rivals Celtic running away at the top of the Premiership and no chance of silverware after a Premier Sports Cup Final defeat and a major Scottish Cup upset at Ibrox from Queen's Park. Advertisement But former boss Clement believes THAT Hampden defeat to Brendan Rodgers was the 'vital game' as he admitted the board 'maybe listened too much to some fans' as he looked back on his time in Govan. "If we had won, there would have been more patience with the fans also and the board could have stayed much calmer. "It's a pity that the story stopped, that the board didn't have the patience, or maybe listened too much to some fans. "There are other clubs where there is a difficult moment and everybody sticks together because everybody knows the story, how the work is done inside the building, and they continue and they are successful afterwards. Advertisement "In three or four windows, we could have closed the gap [to Celtic] with a good development of players, but the decision is made and you need to accept it." It is set to be a busy summer at Rangers with a host of names already linked with joining the new Martin revolution. But Clement reckons FIVE players at the club now have real sell on value and teams would pay good money for their services. Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande have both been linked with summer exits - the latter with Everton. But there are also others who the Belgian reckons could net a tidy windfall. "There are now four or five players with the value to sell and several teams would pay good amounts of money. "The club needs to build with that, or the new owners have to say 'we don't do it that way now because we have enough money'."
