Well known Bolton Market trader to get his big break on television TONIGHT
A Bolton trader set to feature on a new TV show tonight said that he hopes it will bring more people into the market.
Faking It first aired on Channel 4 in the 2000s – but it's now being brought back for a brand new series on Channel 5.
The premise is that a volunteer will agree to be plunged into a very different world and asked to master a new skill.
After just four weeks they will then try to pass themselves off as the genuine article.
In the first episode, posh Surrey estate agent Rex Adams - who sells multi-million pound properties across London - finds out if he can cut it as a meat trader.
His accent and haircut could be a giveaway – so Rex was given a makeover and lessons from a dialect coach.
He tries to blend in at Bolton Market – working at seasoned trader Tony Frame's Salmon Kings stall.
Salmon Kings stall in Bolton Market (Image: Newsquest) Mr Frame said that he couldn't reveal too much about the episode – which airs on Tuesday night (May 20) – but said that Rex was 'a good kid'.
He said: 'They did a very good job of it – without giving too much away.
'As a worker – he was ok – a good kid. It was totally different for him, a culture shock for him getting up early in the morning.'
He said that production crews chose Bolton Market after considering a number of options – including neighbouring Bury.
Mr Frame said he thought his stall was chosen because it's always busy and has a 'real presence in the market'.
He said: 'They had come down to say we'd be on the show at least six months before that – it was between us, Bury and I think somewhere else.
'They looked at a few markets – I think they chose us because we're very steady, busy and have good turnover.
'We have a real presence in the market because we've been here a long time.'

Mr Frame said that he hopes being featured on the show will promote the market and Bolton in general.
He said: 'Hopefully it promotes the market – it's not about just promoting us – it's about promoting Bolton Market.
'It's not about us really, it's about promoting Bolton and the market in general.'

Mr Frame wasn't sure if he would take part in the show again – but said it was a 'very good' experience.
He said: 'It was very good – quite time consuming and sometimes they did get in the way.
'They would go off and jobs" target="_blank">work around you – they knew what they were doing – and tried their best not to get in the way.'
Faking it airs at 9pm tonight.

This inspirational sports biopic just crashed the Prime Video top 10 — and it's 93% on Rotten Tomatoes
Prime Video looks to have another hit on its hands with "The Fire Inside." Despite only coming to the platform a few days ago, it's already climbed into the Prime Video top 10 list. If you've not seen it before, "The Fire Inside" is a biopic about American professional boxer Claressa "T-Rex" Shields that was directed by Rachel Morrison (in her feature directorial debut) and written by Barry Jenkins ("Moonlight," "The Underground Railroad"). "The Fire Inside" might not have made a splash at the box office, but it was released to critical acclaim. Over on the review aggregate site, Rotten Tomatoes, you'll see it's Certified Fresh, with a 93% critics score and an equally impressive 94% on the Popcornmeter. The movie came to Prime Video on May 27, and in the days since, it's risen through the ranks to claim 5th place on the Prime Video top 10. That's quite the feat, given it's behind the likes of "Another Simple Favor", "Twisters", and "Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning." Trying to decide whether to stream "The Fire Inside" on Prime Video? Here's a little more info about the trending movie, and a round-up of what people have had to say about the streamer's new arrival. "The Fire Inside" is a sports biopic based on the early career of American professional boxer, Claressa "T-Rex" Shields (here played by Ryan Destiny). The movie explores her life from when the Flint, Michigan native first set foot inside a boxing gym, through to her becoming the first American woman to win a gold medal in boxing at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. As I mentioned, "The Fire Inside" comes highly recommended from both critics and fellow moviegoers alike. Elsewhere, you'll see praise for the cast's performances, and buzzwords like "uplifting", "emotional" and "rewarding". Given that glowing reaction, I couldn't help but check it out for myself, and I'm inclined to agree; "The Fire Inside" gets my recommendation, too. Morrison's movie absolutely is a rousing watch, one that shines a light on Claressa's achievements with some solid in-ring action, but also worth sticking with for the grounded drama that follows her 2012 Olympic victory. SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — It's opening weekend for the City of Sioux Falls outdoor pools and aquatic centers. They're located at Drake Springs, Frank Olson, Kuehn, Laurel Oak and Terrace parks. Open swimming will go from 1 to 5 in the afternoons and 6:30 to 8 in the evenings. Splash pads at Hayward and Pioneer parks are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wild Water West is also open for the season. The water park west of Sioux Falls features a tornado alley, waterslides and a wave pool. The hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Super Saturday at the Outdoor Campus in Sioux Falls features free fishing in the pond. The sessions are 10 a.m. to noon and 1-3 p.m. All gear will be provided. Country singer George Ducas is the headline performer at Levitt at the Falls in downtown Sioux Falls. The free concert starts at 7 p.m. with opening act Emma Nichole. Members of the Lincoln High School student newspaper the Statesman are hosting a Used Book Sale. It's taking place from 8 a.m. to noon in the Lincoln cafeteria. Paperbacks are $2. Hard covers are $3.
