GNIDA offers housing plots near Noida airport, one costs Rs 152cr
Noida: Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has unveiled a premium group housing plot scheme near the upcoming Noida International Airport, with the largest parcel commanding a reserve price of Rs 152 crore.
The Authority has put three prime plots on the auction block through e-bidding — 18,215sqm in Sector Mu with a reserve price of Rs 97 crore, a 30,000sqm plot in Sigma III with a reserve price of Rs 152 crore, and a 3,999sqm land parcel in Alpha II with a base price of Rs 25 crore.
Officials said these parcels were strategically located near the upcoming airport and offered excellent connectivity to both the eastern and western dedicated freight corridors, as well as the Noida and Yamuna expressways.
The proximity to the airport in Jewar, which is likely to be operational soon, is expected to drive substantial demand for residential properties in the region.
"Once the airport starts operations, it will significantly enhance regional and international connectivity, creating a housing demand from professionals in aviation, logistics, hospitality, and allied sectors who prefer living close to their workplace.

According to the scheme document, successful bidders must deposit 10% of the premium as earnest money with their applications. The remaining 90% should be paid within 90 days of receiving the allotment letter.
The development timeline requires lessees to complete construction in keeping with the approved layout plan and obtain occupancy certificates in a maximum of five phases within seven years of executing the lease deed. The first phase must be completed within three years, failing which extension charges on pro-rata land will apply according to the prevailing policy.
The scheme, launched on Friday, will accept registrations till July 4.
Successful bidders will receive possession within 30 days of allotment.

A techno-economic feasibility study for water taxis in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) was presented to the state government on Monday with a plan of operating 10 routes totalling 252 kilometers with an estimated capital cost of Rs 2,500 crore. During the meeting, a discussion was also held on starting additional water taxi routes on Mumbai's Western seafront. Among the 10 routes proposed in the report include, Narangi – Kharwadeswari near Virar (1 km length), Vasai – Mira Bhayandar– Fountain Junction –Gaimukh– Nagale (16 km), Kalher–Kolshet– Mulund–Aeroli– Vashi– DCT – Gateway (50 km ), Gaimukh-Kolshet– Kalher– Mumbra– Kalyan (31 km), New airport-Belapur-Vashi (14 km), Vasai– Marve– Nariman Point (61 km), Borivali– Gorai– Essel world- Marve- Manori (6 km), Rewas- Karanja- Gateway (19 km), Belapur-Gateway-Mandwa (38 km) and Gateway-Elephanta-Nhava (17 km). The report was drafted by the Kochi Water Metro and presented to state Ports Minister Nitesh Rane. According to an official present at the meeting, the government has decided to increase the number of routes before going ahead with the Detailed Project Report (DPR). As per the report, by 2031, the realistic number of trips on these routes will 2.44 lakh while in 2041, it will be 3.42 lakh. Among the civil infrastructure requirements, the study report has listed terminals or jetties with passenger amenities, floating pontoons and gangways, boatyards for vessel maintenance and repairs, night parking and fueling jetties, development of access roads and parking facilities and non-motorised transport (NMT).

CM releases Rs 561 cr relief for over 11,000 families that lost breadwinners
1 2 Ambedkar Nagar: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath released Rs 561.86 crore to 11,690 families who lost their primary breadwinners, under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana on Monday. While the CM personally handed the amount to beneficiaries in Ambedkar Nagar, the govt released this amount to all beneficiaries across 350 tehsils in the state. E xpressing grief at the deaths, Yogi said his govt would do whatever necessary for farmers and their families. He said that there was no budgetary limitation to the scheme and more beneficiaries will continue to receive assistance as the year progresses. "Earlier, only the farmer was eligible for benefits under this scheme; the policy has been revised and sharecroppers, agricultural labourers, and family members of farmers who fall victim to disasters such as fire, storms, lightning, or floods are also covered under it. The reason: in most of the cases, the only number provided was the passenger's own. With phones lost in the wreckage, and no alternate contacts available, authorities scrambled to locate next of kin. The lapse delayed the delivery of devastating news and complicated the coordination of support. Experts now say this oversight must push a rethink of how ticketing systems handle emergency contact details.
