EXCLUSIVE Roxy Jacenko says she 'locked eyes' with Romeo Beckham in Italy as she reveals her fun new career move: 'Let's face it, I like them younger!'
Roxy Jacenko has certainly worn a few hats throughout her career - PR maven, author, public speaker, reality TV star and mum-of-two.
Now Roxy, 44, has revealed another feather in her professional cap - a doyenne of table décor.
On Tuesday, she launched a homewares edit of tableware and styling accents with one of her favorite stores, Provincial Home Living.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, Roxy revealed that styling dining tables has been a long-held 'obsession'.
'I have always been obsessed with table décor, it's a running joke amongst friends and family that when I say "come over, its casual" I don't mean the table, that will be fully styled,' she said.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
'The only casual part is that I'll be in a crop top and shorts and a pair of trainers!
'There is something so fabulous about dressing a table, the creative process of it is so fun – the mixing and matching between the crockery and napery through to flowers.'
With a unique eye for table design sorted, the question is who would be the perfect guests to sit at one of Roxy's dinner parties?
She said that PopMart founder Wang Ning, Kris Jenner, Ciara and 50 Cent would all earn a table setting, as well as Romeo Beckham - the son of football icon David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria.
Roxy said she would love to sit down with Romeo again after the pair shared a fleeting moment in Italy last year.
She swears she locked eyes with the 22-year-old while they were both holidaying on yachts.
'We were moored next to him in Porto Cervo, Italy last summer. He was on the family's superyacht Seven and I was holidaying on Liquid Sky. I am positive we locked eyes!' Roxy recalled.
'Let's face it, I like them younger and he just hasn't met me yet,' she jokingly added.
Romeo might be disappointed however, with Roxy admitting that while she's a dab hand at laying a table, her kitchen game could use some work.
She revealed that when it comes to tempting the family's taste buds, it's husband Oliver Curtis and the family's full-time chef that take charge.
'It's just not in my DNA,' she said.
'Oli loves to cook, it's his therapy being stuck with me I think. He always offers, but I am a weird eater and we have a full-time chef in Singapore who looks after the cooking for the household. Four people have four different meals – we are all difficult eaters!
'You will see Oli in the kitchen cooking for Hunter, but that's generally only breakfast post the boys' gym sessions, which they do at 6am every Saturday before heading to soccer of a weekend.'
Roxy did admit to being quite the whiz with one dish in particular, adding the caveat that it too can turn to disaster.
'I can perfect microwaving my ready made meals from Chef Good when I am in Sydney for work, even then it's likely I'll burn my fingers. Better I stick to what I am good at – doing deals,' she said.
She also weighed in on Carrie Bickmore's recent parenting hack that saw her serve spaghetti Bolognese directly onto the dinner table.
While admitting the unusual approach to dinner time might have its advantages, when it comes to her brood Roxy will be sticking with plates.
'It takes my anxiety to new levels,' she said.
'Carrie is awesome and I take my hat off to her single parenting - it's hard. So if the kids will eat sans a plate I am all for it, less washing up really, so pretty savvy!
Speaking about her collaboration with Provincial Home Living, Roxy said her edit was all about 'versatility' and affordability.
'The edit is about versatility. Not everyone has the opportunity to have a cupboard full of different plates and napery so I wanted an edit which could work in most homes,' she explained.
'But also something workable for day to day not just special occasions.
'Price was also an important factor. I wanted to make it accessible as there is so much out in the market which isn't within reach for many.'
Roxy, an 18-year PR veteran, has certainly seen her fair share of table décor and she said that like most things trends have changed dramatically over the years.
'Being in PR for 18 years, eventing was a big part of it, most of my counterparts were all about a less is more vibe for brunch, lunch and dinner events,' she said.
'I came to the party with a more is more vibe. It was always about Instagram-ability for me, that's what got hits at events. Those events where you sat down and HAD to take a picture or two of your seat and the setting in front of you.
'2025 is about a more relaxed, natural, and personalised aesthetic. We are a moving away from overly formal settings towards more relaxed, collected looks with mismatched pieces, natural materials and unique details.'
Do
1. DO RSVP promptly and communicate dietary needs early: This is foundational for your host's planning. Let them know if you can attend by their deadline and clearly state any serious allergies or dietary restrictions well in advance.
2. DO bring a thoughtful host gift: A small token of appreciation, like a nice bottle of wine, gourmet chocolates or flowers. It shows gratitude for their effort.
3. DO be engaged in conversation and mingle: Put your phone away. Be present, ask questions, listen actively, and make an effort to chat with various guests, not just those you know.
4. DO compliment the host and the food sincerely: Express genuine appreciation for the meal and the effort put into hosting. A specific compliment about a dish or the atmosphere is always well-received.
5. DO Send a timely thank you: Follow up within a day or two with a text, email, or even better, a handwritten note, expressing your gratitude for their hospitality.
DON'T
1. DON'T show up unannounced with a plus one: This is a major faux pas. Always clear any additional guests with your host beforehand.
2. DON'T arrive too early or too late (without communication): Aim for 10-15 minutes after the stated time. Arriving early stresses the host and being significantly late without warning is disrespectful.
3. DON'T criticise the food or décor, or make a fuss about preferences: Keep any negative opinions to yourself. If you have a strong preference (not an allergy), quietly adjust your plate or eat a smaller portion without drawing attention.
4. DON'T dominate conversations or bring up controversial topics: Avoid sensitive subjects like politics or religion. Keep the atmosphere light and pleasant, and ensure others have a chance to speak.
5. DON'T be glued to your phone: Your host has invited you to connect in person. Constant phone use signals disinterest and disrespect. Keep it out of sight.

Rachael Finch is slammed online for shocking fashion faux pas: 'None of this is okay'
Rachael Finch has committed a fashion felony according to her longtime pal Ashley Pollard. The former Miss Universe runner-up took to Instagram on Wednesday to defend her choice of shoes, which Ash publicly disapproved of. In a clip posted on her story, Rachael could be seen walking through her office in a pair of animal-print ballet flats adorned with large buckle straps. 'Sorry @ashpollard_ got the leopard vans out today,' she captioned the post. The 36-year-old paired the ensemble with a denim skirt and long grey coat. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. My Kitchen Rules alum Ash, 39, then took to her socials to slam the footwear, as well as Rachael's decision to wear socks with the shoes. 'None of this is okay. Especially the BLACK socks!! Da f**k,' she hilariously wrote over a snap of the shoes, while tagging Rachael. The mum-of-two responded in retaliation: 'Love my comfy shoes and my non-smelly feet LOL.' Rachael and Ash have been longtime friends, with the pair meeting back in 2015 at a PR luncheon at Flemington Racecourse. Since then, they have enjoyed getaways together and featured heavily on each other's Instagram pages. This isn't the first time the Kissed Earth founder has made headlines for her questionable fashion choices. Just a few weeks ago, Rachael was seen embracing a sometimes maligned trend. She was spotted working her angles in a pair of skin tight skinny jeans during an outing in a salon in Sydney's Cronulla. Rachael paired the sleek trousers with a black leather belt and tank top in the same dark tone. She completed the look with a pair of stacked white sneakers and opted for a natural makeup look. Rachael could be seen posing up a storm while her phone was attached to a glass door with a suction holder. Skinny jeans had fallen out of favour in recent years, with Gen Z declaring them uncool and dated. But the tide appears to have changed in 2025, with many young influencers declaring the 2010s staple is back in vogue.

ABC confirms Q+A to be axed amid wider changes and scores of redundancies across the broadcaster
The ABC's Q+A program has been cancelled after 18 years, the broadcaster has confirmed, amid wider changes that will result in scores of redundancies across the public broadcaster. The round of changes will fund new programming at the ABC under reforms yet to be announced by the new managing director Hugh Marks. Marks, who joined the ABC in March, is set to unveil his first round of reforms at the public broadcaster, which Guardian Australia understands to include at least 80 redundancies across the ABC. 'Q+A was a groundbreaking program that had made a significant contribution to Australian society,' the ABC director of news, Justin Stevens, said. 'We're very proud of Q+A's great achievements over the years. The team has done a terrific job, including a strong performance during the federal election campaign,' he said. 'Discontinuing the program at this point is no reflection on anyone on the show. Q+A presenter Patricia Karvelas, who will remain at the ABC, said she enjoyed spending time with the audience members who came to Q+A late on a Monday night. 'They have always been the reason for this show and I'm forever grateful to them for coming on national TV and having the courage to ask questions of powerful people,' she said. Stevens said the cancellation of the program would result in redundancies 'and the loss of talented colleagues', but it is unclear how many. The ABC said savings will be invested in another audience participation project, Your Say, which was a success during the election, and news documentaries in the vein of Killing Season and Nemesis, Stevens said. 'We're excited about being able to produce additional high impact, premium news documentary programs to complement the ABC's strong factual slate,' Stevens said Stevens said as well as hosting Afternoon Briefing and the Politics Now podcast, Karvelas would do more Four Corners episodes as time permits. The weekly flagship discussion program was launched in 2007 by veteran executive producer Peter McEvoy and host Tony Jones and was highly influential in its early years, regularly making headlines and setting the news agenda. ABC staff were warned of looming cuts on Tuesday by the journalists' union, the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA), which told ABC members of colleagues being called into meetings with managers 'regarding a restructure'. One of the divisions to be folded is the Innovation Lab, which was founded in 2018 to test and experiment with new content and technology to prepare the ABC for the future. Headed up by digital content & innovation chief Angela Stengal, the team is believed to be as big as 10 and staff have been offered voluntary redundancy or the chance to go into a redundancy pool to compete for other positions. Radio National staff in Brisbane, Adelaide and Victoria have been called into meetings, according to union sources.

EXCLUSIVE Surfing icon Mick Fanning opens up about his chances of coming out of retirement - and the everyday task he loves since quitting the tour
Aussie surfing legend Mick Fanning has lived a life few could imagine - but it turns out simple pleasures such as the after-school run are now top of his to-do list. Speaking ahead of his annual Charity Golf Day at the Coolangatta and Tweed Heads Golf Club on June 13, the three-time world champion is loving life away from the gruelling professional tour - and the 43-year-old has no plans to emulate fellow icon Kelly Slater. Remarkably, Slater is still competing at 53. 'I definitely don't have itchy feet,' Fanning, who stepped aside from WSL events in 2018, told Daily Mail Australia. 'When I was on the tour, I threw everything into my performance. 'I've competed as a wildcard in a few events, but I'm definitely happy to be retired, I've got plenty of life projects to focus on.' One of those projects is the Mick Fanning Charity Golf Day, which sees plenty of Aussie A-list stars take part. The likes of Dylan Alcott, Sally Pearson, Ellyse Perry, Pat Rafter and Karl Stefanovic are expected on the greens this Friday, with the focus securing much-needed funds for those in need. 'Since 2022, we have raised almost $2million, which is something I am very proud of,' the Gold Coaster said. 'I'm not much of a golfer myself, I just like having a hit with my mates. 'Knowing it is for such a good cause, that motivates me.' Fanning will also 'celebrate' the 10-year anniversary of his infamous shark attack this July, where he became a global sensation. Competing at J-Bay in South Africa on July 19 in 2015, Fanning fought off a great white when competing in the final against his great mate Julian Wilson - and lived to tell the tale. The vision was seen by millions - and Fanning knows it is the first question on many people's lips when they meet him. 'I've dealt with it, I've moved on,' he said. 'It was a big incident at the time, I get it is a talking point. It was a crazy moment.' In 2016, Fanning - along with fellow surfers Joel Parkinson, Josh Kerr and Bede Durbidge - founded Balter Brewing. The windfall has been staggering, with Carlton United Breweries (CUB) eventually buying out the brand three years later. It is rumoured the return was around $200million - not bad for a bunch of laidback surfers. Born in Penrith, the die-hard Panthers fan has watched on with pride as Ivan Cleary's men have created a dynasty in the NRL after winning four successive premierships dating back to 2021. Much like his own career in the ocean, Fanning linked their sustained success to incredible athleticism, seizing big moments and calling on an expert coaching staff. And when it comes to the future of professional surfing, 'White Lightning' is excited. 'The world has evolved so much since I was on tour... look at sports science and how professional everyone is,' he said. Now a father of two, Fanning loves the daily drop off - and after school activities on the Gold Coast 'Adding surfing to the Olympics has also been great... sponsors are now getting behind athletes as they compete on the ultimate stage. 'I can only see the sport going to another level.' A father of two, Fanning loves the daily drop-off - and after school activities, one of which naturally for his son Xander, is surfing. He also has a daughter, Lyla Skye.
