The London premiere of soon-to-release F1, saw man of the hour, Brad Pitt being joined by none other than good friend Tom Cruise. Dapperly dressed, the adrenaline junkies posed for the cameras putting an end to the 24-year long wait for their public reunion. Wondering why Brad and Tom on the red carpet together is creating such a frenzy (besides of course the good looks, good looks, good looks)? The last time this bromance was captured in public, was back in 2001 for the America: A Tribute to Heroes concert.
Seeing Brad and Tom's energy together surely stokes conversation about the two potentially starring together in a film again — maybe even something grand and high octane. It's worth mentioning here that in their expansive, larger-than-life careers, Brad and Tom have only starred together once, for the 1994 horror fantasy film, Interview with the Vampire.
Coming back to the present, Brad may be understandably stealing the spotlight for F1, but the Joseph Kosinski directorial is actually a 2-man show. Brad stars as Sonny Hayes, a former Formula One driver, drawn back into the sport to mentor fresh blood, played by Damson Idris. F1 brings the thrill and pump of the real Formula One scene to the audience, what with the film being shot over real F1 weekends with Brad and Damson even performing their own driving scenes. Also expect to see cameos from some real-life F1 heavyweights, sewn into the narrative.
Speaking of Damson, the young actor is definitely star-struck by Brad and his aura. In a byte to ET at a previous red carpet, the actor shared his most surreal moment, while filming for F1: "I mean the biggest moment was really in England, in Silverstone. You know the fireworks going over, I look to my right, it's Max Verstappen, I look to my left, it's Brad Pitt, and I'm trying to stay cool and I mean Brad Pitt is really handsome. I'm trying to look, I'm trying to look MORE handsome...I'm trying to look cute! But inside I was screaming, I just felt so blessed and I'm just so, so privileged to be a part of this movie".
F1 is slated for a release, later this week.

Brad Pitt plays the lead role in Joseph Kosinski's latest film 'F1', which follows a race car driver getting a second chance at victory. At 61, Brad is looking his best and had to maintain peak physical fitness for the film, in which he drives the race car an exclusive chat with India Today, Joesph Kosinski, the director of 'F1', revealed how Brad Pitt stayed fit during the shoot. Joseph said, 'You know he obviously takes care of himself. He is in incredible shape and that was really useful to this film because driving these cars is so physically gruelling. You have to be an athlete to be able to do it, you know, hour after hour to get in the car and shoot these rigorous scenes. And sometimes, you know, we would be shooting eight or ten hours a day in these cars. So, yes, it was physically demanding.'Adding that Brad did the driving himself, Joseph continued, 'Brad also has a real natural ability with driving. I couldn't have made this film if he hadn't been able to do that. Ahead of F1, Brad Pitt calls this former co-star ‘annoyingly good' at racing: ‘He is just a natural at everything he does'
With F1 the movie right around the corner, actor Brad Pitt has put the pedal to the metal when it comes to promotions. Pitt, who isn't really known for giving long interviews, let alone making appearances on a podcast, showed up on actor Dave Shepard's show The Armchair Expert. Pitt touched on several topics, including addiction, recovery, F1, early career and future plans. But what Brad was most excited about was his love for motor sports in general, and he shared several anecdotes about his racing hobby, including one of racing bikes with actor Channing Tatum. Pitt and Dave can be seen completely digressing from what they were talking about, as they both started 'nerding out' about racing and how Pitt very graciously offered to fly Dave to the last racing event they had. Dave said, 'I remember you suddenly asking me after an AA meeting whether I was going to the tracks or not, and then you offered to fly me there in your helicopter.' Pitt dodged the compliment and said that he is glad that he gets to do 'rock and roll' things like that once in a while. The duo also talked about Toto Wolff, who is the CEO of Mercedes's Formula One team, and how he talks about Lewis Hamilton also being a natural at everything he does. It's definitely high praise, coming from someone like Pitt, who has actually driven an F1 car and has been appreciated for his racing skills by the one and only Tom Cruise. During the CinemaCon earlier this year, Cruise expressed his excitement for F1 and recalled working with Pitt on the movie Interview With The Vampire (1994). 'It's great to see Brad driving; he's a very good driver, believe me. I have raced against him. When we were doing Interview With The Vampire, we used to go and race go-karts against each other. We would finish and then go race go-karts all night, and he was a hell of a driver.' It seems that Pitt will get to see more of Channing on the motorbike, as the duo are reportedly collaborating on a docu-series about one of the most dangerous races of all time, the Isle of Man TT. F1 has been directed by Joseph Kosinski, and the cast includes Pitt, Javier Bardem, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon and Lewis Hamilton. Pitt will play the role of a veteran driver who returns to Formula One and teams up with a rookie (Idris) to save his old friend's (Bardem) team. The film also features music from aristes like Ed Sheeran, BLACKPINK, Chris Stapleton, Doja Cat and more. It releases worldwide on June 27.
