The favourite event for book lovers is back in Qatar! Get ready to browse and shop from thousands of books, visit interesting booths, and explore interactive experiences at the region's oldest and largest international book convention, the Doha International Book Fair 2025!
Taking place from 8 - 17 May 2025, at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, the 34th edition of the Doha International Book Fair is the largest yet, featuring over 500 publishing houses from around the world, along with local and international book stores and libraries for an annual celebration of literary art.

Huge variety of books
The Doha International Book Fair 2025's main attraction is its diverse range of books spanning every genre, fiction or nonfiction, from local and international publishers, and even in different languages. In addition to English and Arabic, books from international booths offer French, Chinese, Russian, and more.
Different bookshops from all over the world have set up shop at the fair. Even extensive collections of graphic novels, manga, and comics are available. There's truly something for everyone!

Pillar of books
At the centre of the book fair, you'll find this stunning pillar of books with an LCD dome and a few holographic displays, offering a picturesque spot for visitors. Around the pillar is a business lounge, a gift shop, and displays from Doha Magazine & Dar Al Khutub Library.

Al-Hablouni Market
Something new to check out is the Al-Hablouni Market, a mini souq featuring the participation of 15 libraries from Al Halbouni Street in Syria! These libraries are among the most prestigious institutions in the Arab world.
Palestine booth
The Doha International Book Fair annually highlights one country as its Guest of Honour. This year, the State of Palestine has its own large dedicated booth where visitors can learn more about the country's culture and history with displays of traditional clothing, a timeline of historical events, and cultural symbols.
International booths
In addition to Palestine, several other countries, such as France, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and more, have booths to explore. Each pavilion is decorated to represent the country and features published materials, artwork, and activities to immerse visitors.
Qatar National Library's Short Story Dispenser
Qatar National Library highlights budding writers in the community with its unique Short Story Dispenser at its booth! Select either English or Arabic and have a short story printed out immediately. How cool is this?
Other experiences at the Qatar National Library booth include a virtual tour of the library, an AI librarian that can recommend books based on your preferences, a digital puzzle game, and even an AI photobooth!
Ministry booths
Some of Qatar's Ministries have participated in this year's Doha International Book Fair with beautifully designed booths, offering interactive experiences, a look at their state-of-the-art projects, and promoting each sector's initiatives.
Qatar Photography Centre Exhibit
The Qatar Photography Centre is hosting a special exhibit featuring a collection of photos by various regional photographers, offering a glimpse into the world through beautiful portraits.
Calligraphy Museum
This year's Doha International Book Fair follows the theme "From Engraving to Writing". The Calligraphy Museum gives visitors a more in-depth experience, exploring the evolution of traditional text and calligraphy to modern print.
