Victoria Beckham 'disgusted' by Brooklyn's silence and tarnishing big moment

Daily Mirror7 hours ago

Victoria Beckham is said to be both furious and heartbroken by her son Brooklyn's deafening silence after it was announced that his dad David will finally be honoured with a knighthood
Sir David Beckham has reached many amazing achievements throughout his longstanding career in sport and showbiz – all of which are now likely to be topped by the long-awaited announcement that he is to be knighted.
The 50-year-old star, who is being recognised in the King's Birthday Honours List for his services to Sport and Charity, has finally secured his long awaited knighthood. Speaking out about the incredible recognition, Sir David said he was "humbled" in a statement shared with the Mirror.

He said: "I'm so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I'm grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment. It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I'm immensely proud and it's such an emotional moment for me to share with my family."

Sadly for the new Sir and Lady Beckham, the star's huge achievement has been tainted as the couple are currently embroiled in a fallout with their eldest son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, 30. And it appears that feud is still ongoing as Brooklyn appears to have snubbed his dad's huge achievement on his social media pages as well as failing to celebrate him on Father's Day.
David is set to be honoured at Buckingham Palace later this year, but the special day that he has dreamed of for so many years will be tinged with sadness as Brooklyn and his wife Nicola are not set to attend, according to reports. While David will be supported by his wife Victoria, 51, sons Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 20, and daughter Harper, 13, Brooklyn is likely to skip his dad's biggest career milestone yet.
"Sadly there's no question of Brooklyn being involved. The whole family is disgusted with him. It's left a very dark cloud over everyone at the worst possible time. Barring some sort of miracle, there's no way that Brooklyn is going to show up," a source told Heat Magazine.
And while all the rest of his children honoured and celebrated his incredible achievement on social media, Brooklyn remained silent while his dad's dreams of a knighthood finally came true. Brooklyn's behaviour has reportedly rubbed his mum Victoria up the wrong way and she has been left 'furious' by his actions - or lack thereof.

"The whole family is devastated by the current situation. The tension had been there for a while but no-one thought in a million years that it would turn this toxic. Victoria can't fathom why Brooklyn hasn't been in touch to apologise. She's furious with him, but also heartbroken," the insider added.
While Brooklyn may have remained silent, the same can't be said for Victoria who has sang her praises and celebrated her husband to no end after the incredible news of his knighthood.
Victoria posted a sweet snap of her kissing a smiling David on the cheek as she wrote in the caption: "You've always been my knight in shining armour, but now it's official. Sir @davidbeckham!!! What an honour, I couldn't be prouder of you.

"Your dedication to the things that matter most - your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family - has never wavered. The way you've touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us everyday. But above all else, I'm so, so proud to call you mine.I love you so much xxxx".
In a statement to the Mirror, David himself said: "Growing up in East London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour. To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true.

"Off the pitch I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation.
"I'm so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I'm grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment. It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I'm immensely proud and it's such an emotional moment for me to share with my family."

Meghan Markle's Father's Day tribute to Harry speaks volumes on 'compromised life'

Meghan Markle uploaded a sweet video montage of Harry with Archie and Lilibet on Father's Day but a royal expert has said her post is very telling for one reason. Prince Harry's Father's Day tribute from Meghan Markle proves he "doesn't have it all" despite the song it is set to, according to a royal expert. The Duchess of Sussex posted a video montage to Instagram showing Harry alongside their two, kids Archie and Lilibet, set to the song Have It All by Jason Mraz. The compilation showed snaps and videos of devoted father Harry laughing, dancing and spending some quality time with his children over the years. Meghan captioned the post: "The best. Happy Father's Day to our favourite guy." ‌ The post came just hours after the duke's estranged brother Prince William was also seen in a new snap with his three kids in an upload by the official Prince and Princess of Wales social media accounts. ‌ Kensington Palace said the snaps were taken by professional photographer Josh Sinner in Norfolk earlier this year. According to royal expert and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop, there was a vast difference between the two posts. She told the Mirror: "Hail Prince William, the model father. Or rather the model English father, with a before-and-after duo of professional photographs featuring a handsome, upstanding man, beautifully blended with his children; a foursome united in different shades of 'Norfolk' green. "The post dropped early on Father's Day via Kensington Palace's Instagram account, giving that other royal family plenty of time to tweak their own paternal efforts for a later LA release. "In Britain, it was bedtime before we caught a sneaky peak of the Sussexes' alternative Californian vibe: Harry the hands-on dad - forget formal posing in tweedy greens, this was 'au naturel'. Well, sort of. "A hotch-potch of sunbaked vibes, bubble machines and sea-side shots cast to the Jason Mraz track 'Have it all.' Except Harry doesn't have it all." ‌ It comes as body language guru Judi James underlined a striking contrast between Meghan's Father's Day post and Kate Middleton's photo - claiming there is a hidden message for Archie and Lilibet. She said: "The basic display tone of this video, that is a narrative of clips of Harry being a father, is very different to the one the UK royals tend to use for their Father's Day poses. ‌ "There is also a very strong message of freedom for the children and Harry here, too. There is a lot of running and walking away from the camera to continue to reject a more public profile but it's the recurring theme of the bare feet too." The tribute to the duke comes just weeks after he spoke about his feud with his own father King Charles, stating he would love to reconcile with him during a BBC interview. Tessa added: "Despite his professed desire to resume relations with his own father the King, the Duke of Sussex remains something of an orphan, stranded on the other side of the Atlantic. A discordant backdrop that cast his otherwise happy little video in a poignant light. ‌ "Poor Harry. These days having it all even means sharing images of his children's faces, albeit blurry ones taken when they were much younger. "Such are the compromises celebrities make when no longer protected by the royal coffers. Meghan's Instagram account is a hungry beast. "Long gone are the effortless days of a shared fraternal photograph; it was 2017 when William and Harry posted an early photograph with their dear Papa in the Scottish Highlands for Father's Day. "It had been declared the holiday snap indicative of the brothers' close bond, proof that when it comes to the Royal Family, what you see is only ever half the story."
