BIC Brings Curtain Down on 2024/2025 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship This Week

Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), 'The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East', is all set to host the fifth and final round of the 2024/2025 Bahrain Drag Racing Championship this week.
The stage is set for the curtain to come down on another exciting season in the region's biggest and most popular drag racing series.
BIC will be welcoming competitors and their crews from all over the world to the world-class quarter-mile drag strip for four nights of high-octane thrills.
The meeting is organised by BIC in cooperation with the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Bahrain Drag Racing Commission, and the Bahrain Motorcycle Commission.
Action begins with two nights of Test and Tune on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 11-12. Both evenings' sessions are scheduled for 7.30pm to 1.30am. Qualifying will then be held on Thursday from 7.30pm onwards, setting the elimination ladders for race day on Friday, which is scheduled to kick off at 7.30pm.
Fans looking to attend the season-ending round can watch the excitement on the strip from the Startline Grandstand and the Beyon Grandstand.
Tickets to the Startline Grandstand are BD5 for both qualifying and race day. Tickets for Test and Tune are BD2 apiece for both days on the Beyon Grandstand, while tickets for qualifying and race day are BD3 per person for both nights along the Beyon Grandstand.

The Bahrain Drag Racing Championship is sanctioned by the U.S.-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). As part of the prestigious NHRA Worldwide Network, BIC will be awarding this season's champions with the coveted Wally trophy – exclusive only to title winners of NHRA events.
The champions of 2024/2025 will emerge from 14 categories for both cars and motorbikes. The cars classes include the Index 7.5, Pro 29.5 V8, Outlaw 4 Cylinder, Outlaw 6 Cylinder, Index 10.00, Index 9.00, Index 8.50, Competition 4.5, and Pro Mod; while the motorbike classes are Pro Street Bike, Street Fight 9.5, Index 8.5 Bike, Outlaw Bike, and Street Fight.
Meanwhile, available to fans attending this week's meeting is the Dragster Experience – BIC's most adrenaline-pumping passenger activity.
Known as 'the Fastest Ride on Earth', this offers fans the chance to get a taste of pure speed as they are taken from zero to 100kph in just one second while in the cockpit of a 10,500cc Top Dragster. It can be enjoyed individually or by two passengers at a time.
The Dragster Experience is available at BD44 for a first passenger, while a second passenger can join for half the price.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the event will feature two of Bahrain's premier circuit racing series, the Bahrain Touring Car Challenge (BTCC) and the Bahrain Motorcycle Championship (BMC). Organised in collaboration with the Bahrain Motor Federation, the Circuit Racing Commission, and the Bahrain Motorcycle Commission, the action-packed event is set to commence at 4pm and continue until 9pm under the circuit's floodlights. Fans are invited to witness the racing spectacle, with tickets priced at BD2 for adults and BD1 for children. Spectators will have access to the Beyon Grandstand, ensuring excellent views of the 2.554-kilometre Inner Track. Tickets are available online at via the BIC Hotline at +973-17450000, or at the gate. In the BTCC, Isa Ebrahim, who achieved a double victory in the previous round, aims to finish the season strongly in his Honda Civic. He will compete against Moaaz Elzahrawi, Hamad Khamis, Ali Baqer, and Andreas Buelow, all driving Honda Civics, along with a Radio Bahrain entrant in a Honda Integra. The BTCC schedule includes practice at 4pm, qualifying at 5.10pm, with the first race at 6.34pm and the final race of the season at 8.09pm. In the BMC, Mohamad Alzaidan, who won the 600cc category last round, and Saud Al Toura, winner of the 1,000cc category, are both set to compete. Alzaidan will ride a Kawasaki ZX6, facing participants such as Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa and Mohamed Al Sadiq on Triumph Daytonas, and others on various models. Al Toura will compete on a BMW S 1000 RR, alongside Abdulrahman Al Tayeb and other racers on different bikes. The BMC practice session is scheduled for 4.35pm, with qualifying at 5.45pm, and the race at 7.19pm. The podium ceremony is slated to start at 8.50pm.
