A war over sunbeds is taking place at the hotel used to film the iconic ITV show Benidorm.
Sun-seeking Brits have been spotted queueing for up to two hours at the Spanish hotel to get themselves the most sought-after sun loungers.

Sol Pelicano Ocas in Benidorm was transformed into the fictitious Solana Hotel for the 10 series of the fan-favourite TV show.
And now, the hotel is at the heart of a sunbed standoff between tan-happy holidaymakers.
Hotel guest Louise Smith couldn't believe her eyes when she spotted fellow tourists queueing up to snag the best tanning spots.
And she was left completely flabbergasted when she spotted guests racing to the sun loungers as soon as the pool opened.
As shown in the popular TV show, which stars the likes of Johnny Vegas and Steve Pemberton, the hotel has a huge pool area, with plenty of spots for sun loungers.
However, some of the sun beds are better located than others, leaving Brits fighting over premium spots.
Louise captured footage of the bizarre incident, which occurred at 9am on May 27, from her hotel balcony.
'Mick would definitely have a few choice words for them,' Louise told Luxury Travel Daily, referencing Pemberton's character in the show.
'I don't think any of the characters would approve.
'People started queuing from 7:30am.
Fuming holidaymakers foil fellow Brits sneaky plans to secure sunbeds seven hours before hotel pool opens
'I think it's ridiculous.
'You go on holiday to relax, not to wake up super early to claim a sunbed.'
Fellow hotel guests were also left astounded by the sun bed frenzy.
Kelly-Ann Wass said: 'I've been here for a week and gone down at 10am and always managed to get a bed.'
The Sun Travel team's holiday essentials
WITH decades of experience and hundreds of countries under their belt, the Sun Travel team have shared some of the essential items they always pack on a trip.
Here are some of the game-changing items we always pack - and some will barely cost you a thing. Lisa Minot, Head of Travel - Global travel plug with USB (£64)
Caroline McGuire, Travel Editor - Hotel Slippers
Sophie Swietochowski, Assistant Travel Editor - Pack of 40 earplugs (£40)
Kara Godfrey, Deputy Travel Editor - 1 litre water bottle (£8.99)
Ryan Gray, Travel Reporter - Bluetooth eye mask (£16.50)
Giuli Graziano, Travel Writer - AirTag luggage location tracker (£29.99).
Jay added: 'Wouldn't call that a relaxing holiday fighting for sunbeds.'
Mo said: 'This is not a holiday to me, get up and having to queue everyday, no thanks.'
The Sol Pelícanos Ocas has been approached for comment.
And the famed Benidorm hotel isn't the only location that has been subject to sun bed wars.
Tourists in Playa de la Americas have been branded "miserable" for waiting by the pool before sunbeds were even laid out.
And one woman holidaying in Egypt revealed she was forced to get up at 6:30am to be in with a chance of snagging a sun bed.

Sue Cleaver reflects on '25 years of laughs' after Coronation Street exit

Eileen Grimshaw had a special send-off during Friday's episode of the soap, where she was seen leaving for Thailand alongside her son Jason Grimshaw, played by Ryan Thomas. Simon Gregson's character Steve McDonald, Tony Maudsley's George Shuttleworth, and Eileen's son Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, all said goodbye to the matriarch before drivers from the local taxi firm honked their horns as she was driven off. In an Instagram post, Cleaver said: 'Well… that's a wrap. 25 years of laughs, tears, costumes, chaos — and one unforgettable journey. A post shared by Sue Cleaver (@officialsuecleaver) 'I'll miss this character like crazy, but what a ride it's been. Thank you for every moment.' Cleaver has played the outspoken and uncomplicated Eileen in the ITV show since 2000. Eileen came to Weatherfield to work at the local taxi firm, Streetcars, to provide for her two tearaway teenage children, Jason and Todd. She soon became friends with her boss Steve and came into conflict with Helen Worth's character Gail Rodwell (also known as Gail Platt). Cleaver took part in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2022, where she opened up about reconciling with her birth mother, and was eliminated third. She also said her family is 'bizarrely interconnected' to other Coronation Street stars, including Worth who is godmother to one of her half-sisters, while her other half-sister's husband, John Bowe, appeared on the cobbles as Duggie Ferguson. In 2024, she released a book A Work In Progress in which she discusses how she feels she is not past her prime. In recent years she has appeared as a panellist on ITV chat show Loose Women.

Brits recognise extract from the Lord's Prayer over famous line from Star Wars, reveals poll

Can you guess what the Star Wars line is? PRAYER STILL A FORCE Brits recognise extract from the Lord's Prayer over famous line from Star Wars, reveals poll AN extract from the Lord's Prayer is more recognisable than a famous line in Star Wars, according to a poll. More people also identified Jesus Christ's ancient teaching than the national anthem. 3 Archbishop of York says The Lord's Prayer remains a 'steady guide' that still resonates with people of all faiths and none Credit: PA Some 80.3 per cent knew 'Give us this day our daily bread' is from the Lord's Prayer, also known as the 'Our Father'. It beat the 79.9 per cent recognising 'May the Force be with you' from the Star Wars films. 'To be or not to be' from Shakespeare play Hamlet was identified by 73 per cent. Some 63 per cent matched 'happy and glorious, long to reign over us' with God Save The King in the Church of England's poll of 2,000-plus people. The Archbishop of York, Stephen Cottrell, said the findings suggest the prayer remains a "steady guide" and something which continues to "resonate with people of all faiths and none". Mr Cottrell is leading a "tour" of events at churches and cathedrals across the north of England as part of his Faith In The North initiative, with a focus on the prayer. He said: "These results reflect what we've been hearing across the north of England through our Faith In The North initiative, which invites people to explore the Lord's Prayer. "Lines like 'Give us this day our daily bread' speak powerfully to today's challenges, reminding us to seek sufficiency, not excess, and to consider what 'enough' truly means."
