Because a well-organized home is like a love letter to your future self.
1. A pair of stacked baskets so you can capitalize on any unused space in closets or literally anywhere else. They easily glide in and out, have built-in dividers, and even have handles so you can carry them from room to room. (Hey, you never know!)
Promising review:"Love these in my linen closet for medicines, bandages, cosmetics, etc. All of the little items are contained, and you can adjust the dividers in each drawer to suit your needs. Drawers slide out smoothly and securely. Game changer!" — Florida32940
Get it from Amazon for $22.99+ (available in four colors).
2. A compact utensil organizer that smartly stacks cutlery instead of placing it side by side. If your kitchen feels cramped or has very little drawer space, use this to store all your silverware without taking up much real estate.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
My colleague Mallory Mower has this and LOVES it: I use this in my kitchen! I have to admit...it hasn't exaaactly helped with organization. What it *has* done is created a neat and orderly spot for my utensils...opening up a ton of extra drawer space for my unruly stash of pens, bouillon cubes, drink flavor packets, and the like. Long story short — I recommend this for tidy and messy folks alike!
Promising review:"We were short on storage and drawer space, and this worked perfectly for our tiny drawer!" — Angela McMichael
Get it from Amazon for $8.89.
3. Or a rotating silverware caddy if you just have zero drawer space for utensils. There's a designated spot for forks, knives, and spoons, and then one more for whatever you want, be it straws or something else. The bottom portion is for square napkins.
Promising review: "Got this to store my silverware, and it's great. It holds a lot of spoons, knives, and forks. The slot for napkins is very convenient. This is so handy to have to easily display on the counter or table." — Heather Buchanan

4. A hidden storage box disguised as a beautiful collection of books. Now, instead of having your electronics and all their cords on display, they'll be covered up by what looks like a top-tier curation of books.
Before adding this to your cart, you have the option to customize it, including selecting from 14 lengths and 15 colors (including custom colors). The CovoBox is made from reclaimed books and sustainable wood.

Promising review:"I'm pretty sure I've never loved a purchase from Amazon as much as I love this one, and I've been a Prime member since Day 1. This product is EXTREMELY well made and very unique. Plus, it does the job of hiding the ugly routers and cords. And the customer service was great and responsive. I was a little hesitant to spend the money on this but after years of living with the husband's pile of technology, the money was well spent!" — AmazonEmme
5. A divided organizer because you deserve to grab what you need without digging through a mess. Whether you're organizing a shelf, storage bin, or dresser, this insert keeps your socks, undies, and ties in neat, easy-to-see sections.
Promising review:"I think this is the most useful thing I have ever purchased from Amazon. This comes in handy when you have small closet. I am using it to put all my socks, then I tried underwear and they fit, these will fit boxers as well if you fold them properly and keep it organized. Ordering one more set to keep my T-shirts." — AB
Get it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in two sizes and five colors).
6. A bedside caddy to store and organize all the stuff you need when it's one of those can't-get-out-of-bed days.
amazon.com
Promising review:"I had a nicer-looking, more expensive version of this in my cart originally. This was one-third of that price, and I'm so glad I went with this one. It's got a sturdy backing on both pieces (piece with pockets and a piece that goes between mattresses), one large pocket closest to the bed, and three decent-sized mesh pockets. I have it between my mattress and box spring." — Danielle
Get it from Amazon for $5.99+ (available in brown and black).
7. A pack of portable board game organizers, because your collection of board games shouldn't feel like a chaotic, high-stakes round of Tetris. These stackable bins keep your board games, card decks, and loose pieces neatly contained, and don't take up nearly as much space as the bulky boxes tabletop games come in. Bonus: The handles make it easy to grab and go for game night elsewhere.
Promising review: "These have been such a huge space saver in our game closet. We put our games in these and got rid of the tattered and broken cardboard boxes. They close tight so when we grab a game everything doesn't fall out. Our kids can quickly see the pieces and read the label to grab a game to play out of the closet. We love these!" — Tawny
Get it from Amazon for $33.99+ (available in two widths).
8. A set of clear organizing bins that's basically the adult version of getting your life together. These modular bins come in different sizes, so you can organize every rogue paperclip, lip balm, or battery into its own little space. They're clear, too, which means you'll actually see all the stuff you forgot you owned instead of rebuying it.
Promising review: "What an awesome organizer set. I used half of the containers from the set to organize a drawer. There is enough to organize two drawers. I am very impressed with the results. Non-slip feet are a great thoughtful feature. If you are still thinking, buy it!" — A. Syn

10. A gaming controller stand so everyone in your house (including you) stops leaving gaming controllers on the couch, floor, or in random drawers. It has three adjustable tiers that swivel, so you can neatly perch all your gear — controllers, headphones, handheld consoles — like tiny trophies on display.
This small but mighty stand has made my life so much easier — and I'm not being dramatic. I have two little kids, including one especially grabby toddler, and we run everything through a PlayStation: TV, movies, streaming, gaming — you name it. So the controllers are in constant use and used to be constantly missing. My kids loved to grab them, press every button, or stash them in mystery locations. It was chaos. Sometimes we'd hide them ourselves to keep them out of reach, then forget where we put them. This stand solved all of it. Now the controllers have a dedicated home, the kids can't reach them, and bonus — it actually looks really good. I'm a huge fan.

Get a pack of two from Amazon for $11.67.
13. A dust-free sectioned tray that'll make you feel like you run a very tiny, very chic jewelry boutique out of your dresser drawer. Each tray has compartments for rings, earrings, bracelets, and other sparkly bits, so your jewelry's not just tossed in a tangled heap anymore. They stack neatly, look expensive (without actually being expensive), and will make finding the right pair of hoops feel like less of a scavenger hunt.
www.amazon.com
Promising review:"I love these stackable jewelry trays. They take up less space on the dresser, but organize the jewelry remarkably well. When stacked and the top one covered, your jewelry can remain dust-free. There are more than enough holders, which are lined with a non-abrasive cloth. Well made and great for organizing." — Alot2do
Get it from Amazon for $14.99+ (available in four styles and different pack options).
14. A floating shelf to turn your favorite books into a work of literal art. Instead of jamming them into the big bookshelf, place a few on the wall to show them off.
Promising review:"These are so much fun! We ordered the small size, which fits standard hardback books (approximately five to seven hardbacks in my experience). They're a great way to add some extra storage to our very small home, and we've placed them in our hallway so people ask us about them all the time. I'd highly recommend!" — LaBuenaVidaMere

Get it from Amazon for $48.98+ (available in two sizes and three colors).
16. A set of versatile magnetic hooks because so many cooking tools just shoved in a random drawer, never to be seen again. Instead, give them their own spot on the wall so they're always organized and accessible.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review: "These hooks are amazing! I have very little kitchen space and don't want to drill a bunch of holes in a rented apartment. These hooks are great for the fridge, microwave, and stove hood. I especially like that they are deep enough that I can face my measuring cups and spoons outward so I can see the sizes at a glance. You won't be disappointed in these hooks. Highly recommend." — BAJ
Get them from Amazon for $5.59+ (available in packs of 6, 15, 20, 28, and 60).
17. A rotating rack that spins like a lazy Susan but for your sneakers, heels, and "I'll swear I'll wear those someday" shoes. Its vertical design means it takes up minimal space while keeping every pair visible and easy to grab — because digging through a shoe pile stinks.
SpaceAid is a small business!
Promising review:"First of all… this was the easiest thing I've ever put together. It took a few minutes to assemble. Secondly, it is awesome… I've had numerous friends want the info on where I've bought it. We are in the process of remodeling a closet, so we are planning to build shelves around it. But in the meantime, it's going in my office as a plant and book shelf. My mother is planning to purchase one for her pantry in her kitchen. So well worth the money." — lauren
Get it from Amazon for $99.98+ (available in four sizes and colors).
18. A set of airtight, stackable containers if you have no pantry space ... like at all. Instead of having a bunch of unsightly boxes and bags stashed in the corners of your countertops or in random drawers and cabinets, decant your nonperishables into these sleek, clear containers and display them for all to see.
Promising review: "I love these containers so much. My pantry looks so organized. They come in all sizes and are very sturdy. Lid is neither too tight, or loose, and the snack stored inside stays so fresh with its very nice, airtight mechanism. Love the idea of stacking which saves lot of space in pantry. Can't wait to order many more different sizes replanting my entire pantry with just this product." — hetal
Get it from Amazon for $26.34+ (available in several sizes and quantities).
19. A pack of hanging vacuum bags that'll finally let you reclaim your closet from the puffer jackets, spare duvet, and other bulky space-hoggers you only need like two times a year. They even protect your stuff from dust, moisture, and suspicious closet smells.
Promising review:"Bought these storage bags two weeks ago to pack my winter clothes for summer, and they did the job perfectly. They are large and sturdy. I like its five-hook design. I can store five women's jackets or four big men's jackets in ONE bag. The long bags also fit my dresses. 21. Or keep dirty clothes in a laundry hamper that hangs from your door. This product is great because it unzips from the bottom, so you don't have to take it down and stick your hand in the bag to fish out all the dirties. This is also a great solution if you're running low on floor space.
amazon.com
Promising review:"We've been using this awhile now. Our bathroom layout is too narrow for a traditional hamper but we wanted something near the shower. This can definitely hold a full load of laundry. The design makes it so it doesn't bulge out so much. It keeps its lay flat design. The zipper is borderline genius. We put a laundry basket underneath and unzip to transfer the laundry. Nothing ever gets stuck since the zipper is the full length of the bottom. Even with a large load of laundry the zipper is easy to slide. It has not pinched or got caught on any of our clothes. Helpful" — Leah Batchelor
Get it from Amazon for $10.19+ (available in six colors).

Promising review: "I was looking for a three-tiered over-the-door hanging basket for a long time, but could only find those that were meant to hang from a hook. I needed to get fruits off the counter to save space and this was the perfect solution. It's very well made and hangs perfectly from our kitchen pantry door. Each basket is equal in size, which is great as a lot of other hanging baskets have one large bottom tier and two smaller tiers. The unit as a whole gave us much-needed extra storage space. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an over-the-door solution instead of the typical hanging baskets. Well worth the price!" — Lisa G.

I have a 1940s house, therefore 1940s tiny closets, and I need to get creative in my space organization. This thing was just what I needed to store sweaters on top and hang all other tops on the bottom. You can't see in the photo but my closet has some space on both sides that's just half-filled now and used to be filled to the brim, barely able to move the hangers. This storage solution makes displaying the sweaters nicer than in drawers of my dresser or hanging. It honestly appears very sturdy and quality to me. I love a particular brand of spice and will buy containers and refill bags to refill the bottle. My cabinet was overflowing. With this, I was able to fit all my spices on the racks along with things in the middle and on the bottom. Promising review:"It's really nice having all three of our wrappings in one place. There's still room in our drawer with this in it too. I love being able to cleanly cut plastic wrap... No longer will I waste plastic wrap or get it stuck to where is pulls off in pieces. This is also a great time saver. It's very easy to clean also. I highly recommend this particular unit. 52. A double closet rod for literally doubling your closet's hanging space. Because why is a T-shirt on a hanger taking up only 50% of the usable space? Never again!
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"This product has been one of my favorite Amazon finds, I'm not sure why I didn't think of it sooner. It has doubled my closet space in my apartment where I can't make any damage in terms of adding another permanent shelf — so this has been a perfect solution. It was easy to assemble and is sturdy. I've had it for a couple of weeks now with no issue. Your closet has to be pretty high for this to work or else your shirts above are going to get caught on the hangers below and for my case, some of my shirts are dragging on the floor — just keep this in mind when you're thinking about purchasing." — Alex
Get it from Amazon for $15.18+ (available in three metal finishes).
53. A pack of nonslip velvet hangers to give your closet a more cohesive look and free up some space. These are super slim and take up way less space than traditional plastic or wooden hangers, so you'll be able to hang more garments and make your closet look more tidy at the same time. Truly a miracle!
Sally Elshorafa / BuzzFeed
This hangers helped me free up so much space in my closet! I was using bulky wooden hangers before, and while I liked the uniform look, they took up way too much space. I love these velvet ones because they're also really aesthetically pleasing but take up 75% less space than a traditional wooden hanger, so my closet looks like it has less clothes in it but it's actually holding significantly more than before. I'm going to slowly replace all my hangers in every closet with these, they're that amazing.
Promising review:"These hangers are amazing. They take up minimal space, are sturdy, and, best of all, the clothes don't fall down from them so it keeps everything looking neat. I have replaced all of the hangers in my closet with these hangers, and I couldn't be happier. I am pretty sure I now have double the amount of space. I love this product and would buy it again." — Vida Maars

Amazon
Promising review:"I had a mess of cables on the table next to my bed, and if you pulled one too much, the chargers would fall. This keeps everything in place. It is very LARGE, I didn't expect it to be that big, but it holds a full-size surge protector, and I'm able to plug in everything in there! It's very helpful!" — Patrick Pflaumer
Get it from Amazon for $31.15+ (available in four colors).
56. A pan storage system that stacks your pans and lids in a way that makes each one accessible without moving the others. Because it totally sucks when you need that one pan, but it's all the way at the bottom of the pan pile (aka the Leaning Tower of Pans).
amazon.com
Since they won't be touching, this will also prevent one pan from scratching the other, which is crucial if your pans have any type of coating.
Promising review:"This rack is perfect. I put my largest skillet on the bottom and my smallest at the top. I did not secure the rack with the screws that came with it, so I can easily move it if I rearrange my pots and pans area. Even without securing it to the cabinet, it works perfectly and doesn't shift when I remove a pan. I also appreciate the color: Others I have seen are shiny silver, which I did not want. I will be buying another one of these for our cabin. I have already recommended this rack to friends." — CustomerO
Get it from Amazon for $19.97 (available in white, silver, or bronze).
57. A double-sided hanging gift wrap organizer, because your present wrapping situation doesn't have to look post-apocalyptic. This space-saving find keeps your wrapping paper, ribbons, gift bags, and tissue paper neatly stored and easy to grab — so you're not wrestling with crumpled rolls every time you need to wrap a birthday gift.
amazon.com
Promising review: "I emptied two under-the-bed storage containers filled to the top into this organizer. The pockets are convenient, and they fit so much! I put 24 rolls of wrapping paper and at least 50 bags (if not more) into it, along with bows and some small boxes. So far, it is holding the weight on the back of a door. I would highly recommend this product." — Jess
"I used to store all the decorations in a long plastic box which was heavy n cumbersome. Then, I'd have to go through it to find what I wanted. The hanging decoration is wonderful! A spot for everything you need and hangs on a rod in your closet. Highly recommend!" — Charles V. Lavander
Get it from Amazon for $21.87.
58. A nine-piece stainless-steel bowl set (complete with strainer) that nests together for easy storage. I actually use my set every day, and I love that when it's not in use, I can fit it all in the biggest bowl with the airtight lid on. It only takes up a small section of a drawer when I'm not using it.
Sally Elshorafa / BuzzFeed
I cook a lot — sometimes for a crowd — so I need plenty of bowl sizes to handle all the chopping, mixing, and general kitchen chaos I encounter on any given day. This set has basically become my sous chef, whether I'm throwing together a big dinner party or just making an easy weeknight meal for my family. The silicone base keeps them from sliding all over the place when I'm aggressively stirring, and the airtight lids mean I can prep ingredients days ahead and stash them in the fridge. The strainer? Just a little bonus. And I'll take stainless steel over plastic any day — non-reactive, non-porous, etc!
Get it from Bloomingdale's for $59.99 (available in five silicone base colors)
59. A sturdy Command spray bottle mount so your cleaning supplies can stop taking up valuable cabinet floor space and instead use wall space. Oh, and each mount can hold up to 2.5 pounds.
amazon.com
And like regular Command products, they won't peel off paint once they're removed.
Promising review:"Where have these been my whole life?! I initially saw these on a video about home organizing and had to have them. So happy I bought them! They save room on the shelves under my sink and prevent clutter. Now the bottles I use most are available at my fingertips." — Katie

www.amazon.com
Promising review: "I really like this wine rack! I needed a nice, space-saving solution for wine glasses that are too tall to go in my glass cabinet, and this rack fits the bill. It was simple to install and looks great. Good buy!" — Cycle Mom

Author Provides an Intimate Look at the Indian Child Welfare Act and the Adoption of her Native American daughter

Book covers the difficulties that arose from adopting a Native American child and managing the unknown health history, disabling physical conditions, and the reconciliation of all participants LAKEWOOD, Colo., June 9, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In 1970, Colorado Child Welfare labeled author Dianne Haaland's future daughter as "unadoptable" because she was a minority. At the time, few people knew about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders or the Indian Child Welfare Act. At their first meeting, Haaland and her husband were mesmerized by a beautiful, beguiling baby girl and wanted to bring her home immediately. The final adoption occurred six months later. In "Finding Pieces and Peace," Haaland shares the challenges she and her daughter, Tanya, faced, including lies and misleading statements form officials, suicide attempts and drug abuse. They chose to share their stories to help others, including some alternative pathways that they tried and often failed at. "Many times, people don't take the time to learn about the past and have no base or starting point to do something better," said Haaland. "We can't offer advice for your situation, as no two conditions are the same. But we can offer ideas to give you a multitude of choices to evaluate and choose for your situation." Haaland and her ex-husband had one child and were a foster home to thirty-three, mostly Native American, children over three years. Besides her own story, she also includes information about Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, the Indian Child Welfare Act, court appointed special advocates and the American Indian Movement, as many are not familiar with these topics, and they play largely into her story. "I hope our book gives a voice to foster children, adoptees, and relinquishing mothers who wanted to share their stories," said Haaland. 15 'Ew...That Gave Me The Ick" Relationship Red Flags That Are Secretly Huge Green Flags

Red flag this, green flag that. When dating, people have so many characteristics they look for in a partner. Or more truthfully, traits they try to avoid. Sometimes, though, one person's red flag is another person's green flag. We asked the BuzzFeed Community for examples of things that, when dating, some might see as a reason for pause, but they see as a good thing. The responses were fascinating: Responses have been edited for length and clarity. 1."Not having social media. I have heard (and read on BuzzFeed) that 'not having any social media is a huge red flag for me.' WHY?! HOW?! So you're upset that you don't have to police their Instagram, Facebook/Messenger, TikTok, Snapchat, etc? My partner of six years only has Snapchat and literally has like 25 friends. They are 99% friends I have met, have mutual friends with, or are his family. It's a HUGE green flag that they don't give a crap about social media and what others think about his life/our life. It's OUR life, so why should anyone expect to see into it if you're not invited? I have social media only because it's how I communicate with family. He has full access, and I have full access to his phone, etc. Why? Because we trust each other. It's so nice having a partner who doesn't give a fuck about what others think of him as much as I don't give a fuck. If you think it's a red flag, you need to ask yourself why." —Anonymous, 36; Tennessee 2."Having a quirky or weird interest. That does not automatically make someone a weirdo or obsessive. For example, my husband has ADHD and tends to get very interested in a hobby or topic quickly and loves to geek out about it. Some of his interests are kind of out there. For example, he's 27 and LOVES Disney (especially the parks and movies), LOVES gardening, LOVES caring for our bearded dragon, LOVES working on his tank, and LOVES improving his life quality. A lot of other girls in college thought he was weird for his niche and intense interests, especially because he can be kind of shy and quiet. I was the only girl who gave him a chance. And I won the jackpot! He's caring, romantic, respects me, takes great care of me and our home, and he's wicked smart. Sure, he's quirky. Sure, he doesn't have typical 'masculine' hobbies. But he's a great guy, and I wish more people saw more for him than his quirks." —Anonymous, 25; Virginia 3."Not doing surprise gifts, dates, etc. Spontaneity and big gestures are highly romanticized, but they can often set both parties up for disappointment or unrealistic expectations. Communicating and involving your partner instead is a green flag for me. My partner and I like to discuss and plan fun ideas together. We go shopping for gifts together as well, so we get to pick out exactly what we like. It's so much more fun, and there is less pressure to like a gift or hope they like a gift. (And wastes less money)." —Anonymous, 30; Canada 4."Inserting himself into my college life. We currently go to different colleges, but he makes the effort to see me at my college because he wants to get to know my friends and new interests I've picked up. It's so, when I talk, he knows how to contribute to our conversations in a way that he understands what and who I'm talking about. Some people may see it as signs of insecurity or jealousy, but he truly wants to see the way I've been growing as a person now that I'm in college." —Anonymous, 18; New York 5."Online gaming. I've dated a couple of people I've met through online gaming. I know people tend to think that's a bad thing (to game a lot), but it requires communication and planning skills, especially when their gaming group includes people around the world." —Anonymous, 39; Phoenix, AZ 6."Not being close to their parents. It's great if your family is close. It's also absolutely okay if it's complicated, but sometimes it is better to cut ties with abusers or toxic people. I think it can be healthy to be no or low-contact, and it can protect partners and future children. It takes a lot of strength to break cycles." —Anonymous, 32; California 7."It's not toxic to have never dated someone before. Like, they're waiting for the truly right person to date." —Anonymous, 20; South Carolina 8."When people always respond with 'What do YOU want to do?' People find it weirdly annoying, but I think it just means they care about how you feel. I don't like it when people are like, 'What do you want to do?' 'Oh, I was thinking ice skating, then lunch at this restaurant, then a museum…' That just feels like they've been creepily putting this whole date together for months. No, thank you." —Anonymous 9."Not responding to texts quickly. My bf was sooooo slow to respond to texts when we first exchanged numbers. I thought he wasn't interested, but it turned out that he was not a very tech-savvy guy and had no interest in his phone. This makes dates great as we can converse for hours on end and away from screens. Our interactions are always genuine, and he's so thoughtful!" —Anonymous, 16; Oklahoma 10."Having girl friends as a man. It's not a red flag. It actually tells me women feel safe around you, and you can build a relationship with a woman other than a romantic one. So that means you don't see women only as objects for your pleasure. You actually see them as human beings you can interact with just like you do with other men." —Anonymous, 22; Romania 11."Not telling someone their WHOLE life story. The older I get, there are things people keep to themselves for a reason. Doesn't mean they don't trust you or you can't trust them. If it's significant enough, it will reveal itself. I am not going to force someone I am with to tell me everything if they're not comfortable doing so. That being said, if you don't communicate what is important to you for them to share about themselves, that is all on you." —witchysorcerer621 12."Not being a self-proclaimed nice guy. This might be specific to my relationship, but he straight up told me he was 'kind of an a**hole' on our first date and said he wasn't good with emotions. It was refreshing as hell, coming from seemingly endless dates with self-professed 'nice guys' who were anything but. Turns out he's not an asshole at all, and he's pretty damn good with emotions now. That first date was 15 years ago." —rakishrogue 13."A guy cooking, cleaning, and being able to do stereotypically 'female' stuff." —Anonymous, Maddi, USA 26 14."Being upfront about dating other people. It might seem like a red flag at first, but it's actually a green one. Honesty about where you stand shows emotional maturity and respect. It also sets the stage for clear communication when the time comes to discuss exclusivity — if and when both people are ready for that step." —Anonymous, 37; Mexico "On a blind or first date: I am totally OJ with small talk. People have all sorts of different levels and experiences when it comes to meeting with a person for the first time. Being nervous is OK, and not knowing what to say is OK." —sparklysalt40 Have examples of your own where a perceived red flag is actually a green flag?
