How Haryana Man ‘Honey-Trapped' By Pakistani Agent For ‘Spying', ‘Leaking Military Secrets'

Kaithal (Haryana): Devender Singh, 25, a resident of Mastgarh village in Haryana's Kaithal district, was allegedly honey-trapped by a Pakistani woman and subsequently arrested for spying for Pakistan's Inter Services Intelligence (ISI). The police say he spent about a week with the woman in Pakistan. During his stay across the border, he allegedly came into contact with ISI operatives and began leaking sensitive Indian military information, including details of 'Operation Sindoor'.
Singh was first detained on May 13 after the police found a suspicious Facebook post wherein he was seen posing with illegal firearms. The cops said further interrogation revealed that he had been sending classified information to Pakistani intelligence. The case was immediately escalated to national security agencies.
Investigations claimed to have found that he traveled to Pakistan through the Kartarpur Corridor under the guise of a religious pilgrimage. He visited several sacred sites such as Kartarpur Sahib, Nankana Sahib, Lahore and Panja Sahib. During this trip, he was reportedly recruited by ISI agents.
At the time of his arrest, Singh was studying in Patiala. Authorities say he secretly took photographs of the Army cantonment area in Haryana and Punjab and transmitted these along with other military secrets to Pakistan. It is believed he was in contact with over five Pakistani agents.
Upon suspecting the investigation, Singh attempted to delete incriminating data from his devices. However, police cyber teams are working to recover the deleted information. His mobile phone and other devices have been seized.
DSP Veerbhan Singh confirmed charges against Singh such as misuse of religious travel for espionage and leaking sensitive national security details. He is currently in police custody for further questioning, and the probe is expanding to uncover additional collaborators.

Vijay Mallya Opens Up About Returning To India: "If I Get Assurance Of..."

Fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya has stated that he would consider returning to the country if he is assured of a fair trial in connection with accusations of defaulting on loans worth several crores from Indian banks. In a rare and candid four-hour conversation with podcaster Raj Shamani, Mr Mallya, who is wanted in India for alleged loan defaults, addressed the allegations against him, the downfall of Kingfisher Airlines, and his potential return to India. He said he would "seriously consider" returning to India if he is assured of a fair trial and a dignified existence in his home country. "If I have a fair assurance of a fair trial and dignified existence in India, I will think about it (returning to India) seriously..." Mr Mallya told the podcaster. On being called "fugitive" and "fraud" because he chose not to come back to India, Mr Mallya said it was "fair". However, he questioned why he is being called a "chor" (thief) and where is the "chori" (theft). "Call me a fugitive for not going to India post-March (2016). I didn't run away, I flew out of India on a prescheduled visit. Fair enough, I did not return for reasons that I consider are valid, so if you want to call me a fugitive, go ahead, but where is the 'chor' coming from... where is the 'chori'?" he said. Elsewhere in the podcast, Mr Mallya opened up about Kingfisher Airlines' downfall. He said he approached then Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee with a plan to downsize the airline to save it. However, his request was met with opposition. He attributed much of the airline's troubles to the 2008 global financial crisis. The economic downturn had a significant impact on India, affecting nearly every sector of the economy, he said. "The money stopped. It got dry. The value of the Indian rupee also took a hit," Mr Mallya told the podcast host. Mr Mallya said that, recognising the worsening economic climate, he reached out to Pranab Mukherjee to seek permission to shrink Kingfisher's operations. "I went to Shri Pranab said I have a problem. Kingfisher Airlines needs to downsize, cut the number of aircraft, and lay off employees, as I can't afford to operate under these depressed economic circumstances," Mr Mallya said. However, he added that his appeal was rejected. "I was told not to downsize. You continue, banks will support you. That is how it all started." Mr Mallya added that despite these assurances, Kingfisher Airlines was ultimately compelled to halt all flights amid mounting financial troubles. Notably, Mr Mallya left Indian for the UK in March 2016. He has since resided in London, where he fought a prolonged legal battle against extradition to India.

YouTuber Jasbir Singh sent to two-day police remand on charges of spying for Pakistan

YouTuber Jasbir Singh sent to two-day police remand on charges of spying for Pakistan MOHALI: YouTuber Jasbir Singh , accused of spying for Pakistan, was sent to a two-day police remand by a Mohali court on Saturday. A resident of Mehlan village in Ropar district, Jasbir Singh was produced before the court by the Punjab Police's State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) after completing an earlier three-day remand. The SSOC sought an extension of seven days, citing the need to seize Singh's laptop and extract further information regarding his alleged links to a spy network. The government prosecutor told the court that further digital evidence was likely to emerge and needed examination to trace the full extent of the alleged espionage . However, Jasbir Singh's legal counsel contested the police claims, asserting that his client had been falsely implicated. The defence argued that Singh had initially been summoned through a formal notice and had fully cooperated with the police during two days of questioning. It was only afterwards, the lawyer said, that the police arrested him and labelled him a spy without solid grounds. After considering the arguments presented by both sides, the court ordered a two-day police remand, rejecting the SSOC's request for a longer duration. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Вот что поза во сне говорит о вашем характере!
