CM hands over job letters to differently abled candidates
Bhopal: CM Mohan Yadav on Wednesday distributed appointment letters to specially-abled candidates at a function held at Khushiram Sharma Ayurveda College auditorium, reaffirming his govt's commitment to supporting persons with disabilities.

Yadav handed over appointment letters to 33 junior engineers in the public works department, 10 recruits in the archaeology department, and five fourth-grade employees in the water resources department. Additionally, 97 beneficiaries received assistive equipment tailored to their needs.
Yadav said on the occasion that 'Divyangjans' have established their place in society based on their own ability, qualification, perseverance, and positivity.
This self-confidence gives them a special identity. The Government of Madhya Pradesh is committed to encouraging and supporting them at every level.
Social justice minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha said on the occasion that 'Divyangjans' are being given benefits like education-training, skill enhancement, scholarships, etc. While a 4 per cent reservation for 'Divyangjans' is provided throughout the country, chief minister Yadav has provided 6 percent reservation to them in government jobs. Recruitment of 'Divyangjans' has been done for 2600 posts in the state, he said.

Leading stakeholders held one-on-one discussions with chief minister Mohan Yadav, exploring opportunities worth thousands of crores in tourism and wellness infrastructure at the Wellness and Spiritual Conclave held on Thursday. Highlighting growing interest from national hospitality chains, Mukund Prasad, director at Leisure Hotels Group, said the company is actively expanding into Madhya Pradesh after acquiring land parcels in Kanha and Pench. The group is now exploring Ujjain and Omkareshwar for spiritual and wellness tourism projects. "The state policies are highly supportive and officials are responsive to the needs of promoters. The govt is encouraging investors to combine luxury tourism with wellness, and the group is planning to invest around Rs 200 crore, as wellness development heavily depends on quality infrastructure," said Prasad. Spiritual institutions too have shown keen interest in MP's sacred landscape. Swami Chaitanya Hari, founder of Yoga Nisarga and Vedic Yoga School, said his group is exploring tranquil locations along the Narmada Parikrama and Kshipra river regions to establish wellness centres and ashrams. "These areas offer a spiritually rich and naturally serene environment, ideally suited for holistic healing and yoga-based practices," said Hari. Apart from infrastructure, investors also emphasised the importance of rooting wellness in local culture and resources. "Local farmers must be included in the supply chain for sourcing food and herbs, ensuring that wellness tourism is both sustainable and authentic," said Agnihotri. The influx of spiritual tourism has also triggered large-scale interest from the real estate and hotel sector. CREDAI Ujjain president Mahesh Paryani said demand for hospitality infrastructure is growing rapidly. "Around ten major hotel chains have already tied up for projects in the city and are expected to begin operations by the next financial year. These hotels are expected to invest over Rs 3,000 crore," he said.

Govt taking loan, spending it on luxuries, says Kamal Nath
Bhopal: Bhopal: Former CM Kamal Nath on Thursday came down heavily on the Mohan Yadav govt for applying for a fresh loan of Rs 4,500 from the Centre. The Congress veteran alleged that the loans taken are not being used for either the youth or farmers. He said rather it was being utilised for the purchase of "luxuries" of the BJP govt and its leaders, and the public was getting crushed under the burden of inflation day after day. Taking to 'X', he said, "The BJP govt of Madhya Pradesh is drowning the state in a quagmire of debt. The state govt has started the process of taking a new loan of Rs 4,500 crore from the Centre." Nath argued, "With this new loan, the state will have a debt of Rs 4.3 lakh crore which is much more than its annual budget of Rs 4,21,032 crore. MP govt has not taken any initiative to reduce wasteful expenditure and reduce the debt burden on the treasury. " He alleged that the loans were not being utilised to provide employment, increasing the financial assistance to Ladli Behnas or for the economic welfare of the weaker sections. "Despite taking so much loan, BJP govt has not even given MSP for wheat and paddy to farmers as was promised during the elections. Moong dal farmers are protesting in the state, but moong is not even being purchased at MSP," the former CM said. "If the loan is not being used for welfare, then where is this money being spent?" he asked.
