Another bumper weekend of sport lies in wait for sports fans, with local eyes fixed on the United Rugby Championship final involving the Bulls, the World Test Championship final involving the Proteas and the Fifa Club World Cup taking place in the USA.
Here are three of our picks for the weekend.
Rugby
Leinster v Bulls
The Irish giants, Leinster, are the hot favourites to win the United Rugby Championship trophy on Saturday having again topped the points table after the regular season and considering all the Irish internationals in their team. They are playing in their first final since the competition changed in the 2021/22 season and are desperate to win a trophy of significance.
This is the Bulls' third final in the four seasons since the establishment of the URC, but they have yet to go all the way, losing to the Stormers and Glasgow in their two previous final appearances.
They finished the regular season in second place and like Leinster also have a number of internationals in their ranks. The big question is, can they topple Leinster in Dublin?
Prediction: Leinster by 15
Al Ahly v Inter Miami
The revamped 32-team Fifa Club World Cup kicks off on Saturday night in the USA with Egyptian giants Al Ahly going up against Lionel Messi and Inter Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
Ahly are coached by Spaniard Jose Riveiro, who recently joined after leaving Orlando Pirates towards the end of last season.
Inter have been in good goalscoring form in the MLS, with Luis Suarez and Messi both a huge part of that.
The home side will be favourites, but Ahly have plenty of tournament pedigree and Riveiro's qualities as a coach could help them snatch a draw in this Group A opener.
Prediction: Ahly 1 Inter Miami 1
Paris St Germain v Atletico Madrid
European champions PSG take on Spanish giants Atletico Madrid at the Rose Bowl in LA on Sunday in an intriguing opening match in Group B of the Club World Cup.
Luis Enrique's PSG should still be high on adrenaline after their first ever Champions League win, but Atletico are a notoriously hard side to beat under Diego Simeone.
When the two sides met in Paris in November in the Champions League group stages it was Atletico who won 2-1. PSG got better and better as their European campaign wore on, however, and should edge this one.
Prediction: PSG 2 Atletico Madrid 1

Mametsa confident Bulls will bring United Rugby Championship title home
PRETORIA - The Bulls are all geared up for their all-important grand final in the United Rugby Championship, against Irish side Leinster this weekend in Dublin. This will be the Bulls' third appearance in the final, but they have never won the title. So they will be hoping the third time will be the charm for them. Leinster, by contrast, have won eight times, their most recent victory in 2021 against Munster. Former Bulls wing John Mametsa is confident the Pretoria franchise can write their names in the history books, as eNCA's Siphokazi Malinga had a sit down with Mametsa, to get his expectation as his former side heads to the final.

Kaizer Chiefs news: Another Congolese attacker
In the past three seasons, Kaizer Chiefs have signed two attacking players from the Democratic Republic of Congo. It started with the striker/winger Christian Saile, and then in January by the lanky winger Glody Lilepo. According to this new report, Kaizer Chiefs now have eyes on a Congolese attacking midfielder named Maxi Ngenzeli from Young Africans in Tanzania. Ngenzeli will not be new to coach Nasreddine Nabi. The Tunisian mentor fine-tuned the goal-scoring midfielder in the 2021/22 season at Yanga. New Orlando Pirates winger: 'I can attack and I can defend' 'At the moment the club has not yet signed some of the players who they want nor those they are looking at,' an insider told Soccer Laduma . 'It's believed that they are spreading the search wide so that they can get the kind of players they really need this season. 'Apparently, Maxwell Nzengeli is one player they are also looking at. Coach Nabi knows him already, and the scouts and recruiters are also believed to have liked him and are looking at the possibility of getting him, depending on the conditions around the transfer. Two PSL clubs in for Sundowns outcast 'The players are expected to return to the club for pre-season training at the end of the month so that they can prepare for the trip to Holland and the team is working hard to have new signings available for the European trip. 'So it's believed that by the first week of July, most of the new signings will be unveiled,' the source added. Bulls aim for third-time luck in United Rugby Championship final against Leinster
Bulls captain Ruan Nortjé and Leinster counterpart Jack Conan are all smiles with the United Rugby Championship trophy in Dublin this week. Will it be a case of third time lucky for the Bulls in the United Rugby Championship final? The Pretoria side are in Dublin for Saturday's title decider against Leinster at Croke Park (6pm South African time kick-off), and are hoping to finally get over the line at their third attempt. Coach Jake White's team went down 18-13 to the Stormers in a Cape Town final in 2022, and last year, the Bulls lost 21-16 to Glasgow at Loftus Versfeld. But Irish province Leinster are clear favourites for Saturday's showdown, as they boast a powerful side with several Test stars in their midst, including James Lowe, Jamison Gibson-Park and Josh van der Flier. They are also hungry for a trophy after losing in the Champions Cup semi-finals a few weeks ago, and are in fact taking part in their first URC final since the South African franchises joined the competition in the 2021-22 season. There is sure to be a thrilling atmosphere at the 82,300-capacity Croke Park arena, and White doesn't feel that there is extra pressure on the Bulls due to their prior final defeats. 'It's massive. We have football stadiums like this, but I've heard a lot about Croke Park,' White said. 'It's, it is magnificent, it's wonderful. I just hope, I suppose like all players and supporters that, and people involved, that (on Saturday), it will be as full as it can be because it's a great stadium to have so many people here. 'Every year it's a new year. This Saturday is a new game, a new final, so I don't think we take anything into account of what happened the previous years.' Bulls captain Ruan Nortjé and his team have beaten 2023 champions Munster and 2024 winners Glasgow away from home this season, which will make them quietly confident of pulling off an upset against Leinster. While the South Africans are missing injured stalwarts such as Springboks such as Cameron Hanekom, Elrigh Louw and Gerhard Steenekamp – as well as star wing Kurt-Lee Arendse, who returned too late from a sabbatical at a Japanese club – the Bulls still have a strong outfit. Apart from Nortjé, other current Boks include Willie le Roux, Canan Moodie and Jan-Hendrik Wessels, who will spearhead their quest to stop the slick Leinster squad in what is expected to be wet conditions in Dublin. 'I think we can just go on what we've been doing this year,' White said. 'I think like I said, we've been really good away from home. For some odd reason, the group has really been getting together quite well, especially on tour. 'We really enjoy each other's company, really have a good time together, and that camaraderie just gets better and better. 'So, we'll just definitely go out this weekend and give it everything we've got. I think that's the only thing we can do.'
