Art festival expected to bring expo visitors to Japan's inland sea
TOKYO -- Japan is charting a new cultural corridor for international visitors -- one that flows seamlessly from the future-oriented Expo 2025 in Osaka to the slow art allure of the Setouchi Triennale, which opened its sixth edition on April 18.
Local communities are expecting the contemporary art festival on the islands of the Seto Inland Sea, situated west of Osaka, to create synergies with the expo, which also started in mid-April, to draw more inbound tourists.
