About that limp... Tyrese Haliburton provides injury update ahead of Game 3 of NBA Finals
INDIANAPOLIS — Tyrese Haliburton walked with all smiles and no limp as he strolled through the tunnel hallway en route to the interview room at Gainbridge Fieldhouse after Tuesday's practice.
This was a positive sign after the Indiana Pacers star limped from the podium when departing his postgame news conference Sunday following a 123-107 Game 2 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Haliburton addressed the injury Tuesday.
"I'm fine," Haliburton said. "It's really just a lower leg thing. I'll leave it at that. I don't think there's anything more to elaborate.'
The Pacers hope to take a 2-1 advantage in the NBA Finals when they host the Thunder on Wednesday. Haliburton reiterated his first comment about the limp before making his status for Game 3 clear.
'I feel fine,' he said. 'And I'll be ready to go for Game 3."
